Strictly Ballroom The Musical – Competition Terms and Conditions:
DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:
“Promoter” is Pinpoint Pty Ltd ABN 49 002 693 656, 34 James Craig Road, Rozelle, NSW 2041. “Winner” means recipient of Prize described in Clause 2.
“Promotion” means the Strictly Ballroom The Musical – Competition.
“Eligible entrant” means those people who:
a. Are natural persons and do not include companies or other corporate entities;
b. Are over the age of 18 years.
c. Are a resident of NSW, VIC, QLD or WA.
d. Purchases 2 x Strictly Ballroom The Musical tickets from any of the Pinpoint operated box offices
including Accor Great Seats, Great Seats, Corporate Box Office, MYER one box office, SMH Box Office, The Age Box Office & Preferred Seating.
“Prize” means 2 x A-Reserve tickets to the opening of Strictly Ballroom The Musical (Sydney Lyric) valued at $150 each. 2 x VIP red carpet experience valued at $300. 2 x Goodie Bag valued at $200. 2 x After Party Access valued at $200.00. Total of 1 x winner with Prizes valued at $1,000 in total.
THE PROMOTION
1) The Promotion will commence on 1 November 2013 and eligibility for entry will close at midnight on 31 January 2014 or once all Prizes have been redeemed.
2) The Prize consists of 2 x A-Reserve tickets to the opening of Strictly Ballroom The Musical, 2 x VIP red carpet experience, 2 x Goodie bag and 2 x After Party Access.
3) The total value of the Prizes, as at the date of publication of these terms and conditions (November 2013) is AUD$1,000.
4) The employees of the Promoter and its subsidiaries and related entities and their immediate families are not eligible to enter the Promotion or win Prizes.
5) The winner will win one major prize (2 x VIP red carpet experience, 2 x Goodie Bags and 2 x After Party Access). This will be determined on Wednesday, 5th February at 34 James Craig Road, Rozelle 2039. There is a limit of one entry per Eligible Entrant.
6) The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7) The names and suburbs of the Winner will be published in the public notices of The Australian on
Friday 7th February 2014.
8) The Promoter assume no responsibility for any costs incurred travelling to and from the event or any
additional costs incurred attending the event.
GENERAL
9) Information on how to enter and the Prize forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
10) Each Prize Winner will be contacted by phone and/or email within two business days, once winners have been selected:
a. to confirm that the Prize Winner is eligible to win under these Terms and Conditions;
b. to confirm that the Prize Winner wishes to claim the relevant Prize.
11) If the Prize Winner is unwilling or ineligible to win the Prize or is deemed to have forfeited their Prize
pursuant to Clause 10, the Prize is then given to the back up winner, as determined in clause 12, who
will be notified by email, phone, or mail within two business days of the redraw
12) The Promoter reserves the right to redraw in the event of an entrant being unable to satisfy these
competition conditions or forfeiting or not claiming a prize. For any prize that remains unclaimed or forfeited through ineligibility or otherwise, the promoter will conduct a draw at 12.00pm, 34 James Craig Road, Rozelle 2039 on Wednesday, 7th May 2014, subject to any applicable law. In the case that a prize is an expired event (ie. the film has finished screening), the prize winner/s will forfeit that portion of the prize.The winner will be notified in writing immediately
13) The Prize cannot be redeemed for cash, cannot be exchanged or altered and cannot be sold or transferrred.
14) By accepting the Prize the Winner may be asked to participate in any publicity arrangements made by or on the behalf of the Promoter in relation to this Promotion. If the winner consents, the Promoter may publicise the Prize Winners’ name, address and photographs through newsletters, print media, electronic media and broadcasts.

15) The Promoter warrants that the Prize details are correct at the time of publication (November 2013) of these Terms and Conditions.
16) The Promoter will not be responsible for delayed, lost or misdirected mail or other communication.
17) To the extent permissible by law, the Prize Winner releases the Promoter and its agents (as defined
in the Corporations Act) from any causes of action, loss, liability, damage, expense (including any claim for legal expenses), cost or charge sustained or incurred by the Prize Winner as a result of:
a. any loss or damage to physical property of the Winner;
b. any injury to, or death of the Winner or any other person, arising out of, related to or in
any way connected with the Promotion or the Prize;
c. any failure or delay by the Promoter or its agents which is due to an act of God, riots, acts
of terrorism, storms, fire, any labour or industrial dispute, any strike, and other acts which
are not reasonably within the control of the Promoter and/or its agents.
18) To the extent permissible by law, the Prize Winner releases the Promoter from any causes of action, loss, liability, damage, expense (including any claim for legal expenses), cost or charge sustained or
incurred by the Prize Winner as a result of any failure by computer hardware or software to function
correctly in relation to all calculations and functions in the electronic drawing of the Prize Winner.
19) The Promoter cannot advise on specific tax issues. The Promoters recommend that all participants
seek independent tax advice and legal advice on any tax implications which could arise if they win the prize. In the event that the prize is subject to tax, the Promoters will not be liable for any additional tax payable by the prize winner.
20) The Promoter reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions or the Prize or cancel the competition if it is no longer able to run the competition due to reasons beyond its control, subject to applicable legislation. The Promoter will not be liable for any losses to any party arising from any variation or cancellation.
21) The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
PRIVACY NOTICE
22) During the course of the Promotion, the Promoter may collect personal information in relation to entrants.
23) The personal information which may be collected by the Promoter includes the name and address of the entrants.
24) The personal information (email address and postcode) will be collected by the Promoter from the information obtained when the member joins the online Club on Pinpoint operated box offices.
25) The winners’ name and work address and photographs may be used by the Promoter for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
