“Ultimate South Australian Wine Experience” Competition – Terms & Conditions of Entry
The Ultimate South Australian Wine Experience Competition (the “Promotion”) is a promotion conducted by the Promoter.
1. Information on how to enter the Promotion and a description of the prizes that may be won in the Promotion form part of these Terms & Conditions of Entry. Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions of Entry. Entries not complying with these Terms & Conditions of Entry are ineligible and the Promoter reserves its absolute right to disqualify any entries do not comply with these Terms & Conditions of Entry.
2. The Promotion is open to all Australian residents over 18 years and do not live in the Northern Territory. Entry into the Promotion is free. Directors, management and employees of Dan Murphy’s and Pinnacle Liquor Group and its agencies directly associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter.
These Terms & Conditions of Entry will be displayed on the Dan Murphy’s website, at the commencement of the Promotion.
3. Definitions within this Promotion:
Promoter – The Promoter is Woolworths Limited ABN 88 000 014 675 of 26 Waterloo Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010
Promotion – means the “Ultimate South Australian Wine Experience” promotion governed by these Terms & Conditions of Entry and conducted as a promotion by the Promoter.
Promotional Period – means 7:00 AEST on Thursday 1 May, 2014 to 10:00 AEST on Monday 2 June, 2014
Prize – means a 5 day wine experience for 4 people (twin share) to South Australia. Total prize pool is worth $19,875.
4. The Promotion commences and ends as specified in the Promotional Period.
5. To enter the Promotion, you need to visit the “Ultimate South Australian Wine Experience” competition page and sign-up to the Dan Murphy’s emails. One entry will be recorded for each unique email address. By signing up to receive emails from Dan Murphy’s online, you agree to the following conditions. All entries will be entered into a database and Dan Murphy’s may use the entrant’s names and email addresses for future marketing communications. If entrants no longer consent to their details being used for future marketing communications, the entrant should contact Dan Murphy’s. Any request to update, modify or delete the entrant’s details should be directed to danmurphys.com.au.
6. The judging of the Prize will take place on Thursday, 5 June, 2014 at Red Jelly 34-36 Elizabeth St, Hobart TAS 7000 .
7. The first valid entry randomly drawn will be the winner. The prize winner will be contacted in writing (by email) and the winner’s details will be published online at on www.danmurphys.com.au. If the winning entry is invalid, that entry will be discarded and the prize will be awarded by randomly drawing another entry in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry.
8. The Prize winner will be contacted in writing via email within 2 days of the draw. The prize winner will have their first name, surname initial and state published on the Dan Murphy’s website within 14 days of the determination of the winners.
9. There will be only one (1) prize. The winner can take up to 3 friends. The prize will consist of the following itinerary:

Total prize value of $19,875. Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for
cash. Prize excludes transfers to and from the airport from your Australian city, travel insurance.
The Winner and their companion is solely responsible for any travel insurance; medical and/or any
other similar insurance cover required either for the trip or for personal injury associated with
participation in activities, spending money and expenses not listed in these Terms and Conditions of
entry. The Winner may not extend their stay. The Promoter is not responsible for cancellation, delays
or changes to flights or any part of the prize or for the inability of a prize winner to take up any part
of the prize due to problems with flights, travel or other factor outside the Promoter’s control.
The winner (and their companion) is/are responsible for all other expenses including spending
money, cellar door purchases, tipping, accommodation costs other than room rate and breakfast,
meals (unless specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless
specified), incidentals, taxes (excluding departure and any other flight associated taxes included
within the prize), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, travel insurance
and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the
additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
The winner and travelling companions must travel at the same time, must depart from the same
capital city and are responsible for transport from their residence to their nearest capital city for flight
departure.
The winner and travelling companions must all be over 18 years.
Nominations of travelling companions must be made by the winner by the 1st August 2014. All
mandatory documentation requested for the booking of the trip must be submitted by each
companion prior to this date. Once companion nominations have been made, unfortunately these cannot be changed.
Air tickets are available on the regular scheduled services of each airline and are subject to seasonal embargos. Flight itinerary may have to be adjusted depending on the airlines departure city and their current flight schedule. Frequent Flyer points are not available from any airline.
A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges. Once accommodation vouchers are issued they are non-changeable.
It is the traveller’s personal responsibility to ensure that they have valid documentation, including but not limited to valid passports and visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the traveller/s.
Woolworths Limited and Dan Murphy’s make no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. Travel must be taken on the 29th October 2014 to Sunday 2nd November 2014. If a winner and travelling companions are, for whatever reason, unable to travel on a nominated date, or do not take an element of the prize within the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner. The prize is not transferable and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize or element thereof.
The itinerary is subject to change if for any reason a winery is unavailable for reasons out of our control, an experience of similar value will be offered in replacement.
10. If a winner does not claim their prize within 14 days from the date of determination of that winner, their entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter may conduct a further draw at the same place as the original draw as are necessary subject to regulatory authority. The unclaimed prize judgement will take place on Friday 20 June 2014 at Red Jelly 34-36 Elizabeth St, Hobart TAS 7000. The prize winner will be contacted by email within 3 days of the draw. The winner’s names (first name and surname initial) and state will be published on the Dan Murphy’s website within 14 days of the determination of the winner.
11. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from winning of the prizes. Independent financial advice should be sought
12. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify all entries who is in breach of the Terms & Conditions of Entry or who manipulates, seeks to manipulate or benefits from manipulating, the entry process or the Promotion.
13. The Promoter and its agencies and companies associated with this Promotion will not be liable for any loss (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained (including without limitation to that caused by any person’s negligence) relating to the Promotion or the awarding or taking of the prizes except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case liability is limited to the minimum amount allowable by law).
14. The Promoter may use any personal information that the entrant has provided for the purpose of running the Promotion and also in advertisements, publications, media statements and other promotional material associated with the Promotion. For purposes of public statements and advertisements the Promoter will only publish the winner’s surname, first initial and state. The Promoter may disclose the information for those purposes to its related bodies corporate and contractors. The Promoter may use personal information a entrant has provided to send the entrant information about Dan Murphy’s products and services (including via electronic means), and may disclose the information to its related bodies corporate, agencies and contractors (including call centres, advertising agencies and direct mail houses) the Promoter engages for that purpose. The Promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act (Cth) 1988. 15. In the event there is a dispute concerning the conduct of the Promotion, the decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
