This competition (Competition) is conducted by AAI Limited (ABN 48 005 297 807) trading as AAMI (Promoter) of Level 28, 266 George Street, Brisbane, Queensland 4000. Please address any postal correspondence in relation to this Competition marked attention AAMI Marketing Team, PO Box 14180, Melbourne City Mail Centre, Victoria 8001.
All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter forms part of these conditions. By entering into this Competition, entrants accept these conditions.
The Competition is only open to individuals who: (i) are Australian residents aged 18 years or older at the time of entry; (ii) are not directors, management or employees of the Promoter or any of its related bodies corporates or any agency associated with the Competition; and (iii) who are able to travel to South Australia during one (at the winner’s choice) of the following three travel periods:
Friday 15/8/2014 to Monday 18/08/2014;
Friday 22/08/2014 to Monday 22/08/2014; or
Friday 19/09/2014 to Monday 22/09/2014.
An entrant who meets the term in this paragraph is known as an Eligible Entrant.
Competition commences at 9am (AEST) on 19/05/2014 and closes at 11:59:59pm (AEST) on 27/06/2014 (Entry Period).
To enter this Competition an Eligible Entrant must during the Entry Period fully complete and submit the prescribed online entry form for this Competition ensuring that it includes (at minimum) his or her full name, postcode, a valid email address and a current mobile telephone number. Enter:
by visiting luckyaami.com.au (Competition Website); or
by visiting AAMI’s Facebook page at facebook.com/aami (Facebook Page) and then:
selecting the Maggie Beer Competition tab;
“liking” the AAMI Facebook Page; and
completely and successfully submitting the prescribed online entry form for this Competition.
An Eligible Entrant may only enter this Competition via one of the entry methods prescribed in paragraph 5 and will receive one entry into the Competition. Where an Eligible Entrant submits more than one entry form, the Promoter will only have regard to the first and earliest valid Entry Form it received. All subsequent entries by the same Eligible Entrant will be discarded by the Promoter and deemed invalid entries.
After an Eligible Entrant has received written notification from the Promoter confirming receipt of his or her entry form with a unique hyperlink to the Competition Website, he or she (Referrer) can earn unlimited additional entries into this Competition by referring this Competition via email to other Eligible Entrants (who have not already entered the Competition) (Referred Person) provided:
the Referrer includes the unique hyperlink to the Competition Website referenced in the confirmation message sent by the Promoter; and
the Referred Person enters the Competition in accordance with these terms and conditions using the unique hyperlink to the Competition Website sent by the Referrer.
Cost of entry via the internet is free, but internet connection and usage rates may apply. Eligible Entrants should obtain details of such costs from their relevant service providers. Costs associated with accessing the Competition Website or AAMI’s Facebook Page may vary depending on the internet service provider used by an Eligible Entrant and are sole the responsibility of an Eligible Entrant.
All Eligible Entrants must submit an entry form in their own name and personally. The Promoter will reject entry forms where it reasonably forms the opinion that they have been completed and submitted using a competition entry service. The use of any automated entry software or any mechanical, electronic or other means that allows an Eligible Entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that Eligible Entrant invalid.
Entries will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of submission/transmission by the Eligible Entrant. Entries that contain details that are incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible on the Competition Website or Facebook Page or entry form by an Eligible Entrant will be deem an invalid entry and disqualified by the Promoter. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoter. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify any details supplied by an Eligible Entrant in his or her entry form including verification that they satisfy the eligibility criteria outlined in paragraph 3 of these terms and conditions. Proof considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.
The Promoter reserves the right to declare an entry invalid or disqualify an Eligible Entrant that it reasonably believes has: (a) tampered with the entry process; (b) submitted an entry which is not in accordance with these terms and conditions; or (c) if the Eligible Entrant is/has engaged in any unlawful or other improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an Eligible Entrant in such circumstances are reserved.
Any attempt, deliberate or otherwise, to cause malicious damage to or interference with the normal functioning of the Competition Website or the Facebook Page or the information on the Competition Website or the Facebook Page, or to otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion may be a violation of criminal or civil law and, should such an attempt be made, whether successful or not, the Promoter reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. If the Promoter suffers loss, damage or incurs any costs in connection with any breach of these terms and conditions or any other legal obligation by an Eligible Entrant, the Eligible Entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter for that loss, damage or cost.
DRAW
The draw to determine the winner of the prize for this Competition will take place at 12:00pm (AEST) on 2/7/2014 at Contact Management Associates (Vic) Pty Ltd, 92-94 Tope St, South Melbourne, Victoria 3205 (Draw Time).
The winner will be determined using an electronic drawing system that randomly selects an entry from the pool of entries received by the Promoter during the Entry Period. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner will be notified by telephone and by email on 2/7/2014. If successful notification does not take place on 2/7/2014 the Promoter will continue to make attempts both by telephone and email to contact the winner until 5:00pm AEST on 9/7/2014. The winner who accepts and successfully claims the Travel Prize by that time will have his or her name and locality in published in The Australian on 11/07/2014. If the winner resides in Victoria their name and locality will, subject to their need to accept and successfully claim the Travel Prize, be additionally published in the Australian newspaper on 4/7/2014.
If the Travel Prize remains unclaimed by the winner, or if the winner is otherwise ineligible or unable to take the Travel Prize, at 5:01pm AEST on 9/7/2014, then the winner will be disqualified and AAMI will hold an unclaimed prize draw (Redraw) in accordance with paragraph 28.
PRIZE
The prize (Travel Prize) is a trip for the winner and three companions to the Barossa Valley, South Australia, valued at $15,491.28 in total, including any applicable GST.
The Travel Prize consists of:
Four adult return economy airfares to Adelaide, Australia from the Australian capital city airport closest to the ordinary residential address of the winner (inclusive of airfare related taxes and charges). If the winner’s residential address is in South Australia, this component of the Travel Prize is forfeited;
Three nights accommodation at The Loft, Barossa Shiraz Estate, Six Gates vineyard, 1246 Barossa Valley Way, Lyndoch, comprised of two twin-share double rooms, including breakfast daily;
Return transfers by private car for the winner with their three companions, between Adelaide airport and the Six Gates vineyard. If the winner’s residential address is in South Australia, then the private car transfers shall be between the winner’s residential address and the Six Gates vineyard;
Three return transfers by private car for the winner with their three companions:
to and from the location specified in paragraph 18(f) below;
to and from the location specified in paragraph 18(g) below; and
to and from the location specified in paragraph 18(h) below.
Four passes for the Best of the Barossa Cellar Door Tour, including tastings at four wineries, refreshments and lunch at one of the wineries;
A gourmet five course dinner for four with paired wines at Hentley Farm, Seppeltsfield;
A hot air balloon ride for four with Barossa Valley Ballooning;
Lunch for four at Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop in Nuriootpa including an exclusive ‘Cooking with Verjuice’ demonstration;
A personal ice-cream tasting for four with Maggie Beer herself;
$2,000 AUD spending money.
Flights and accommodation are subject to booking and availability. All bookings are subject to the travel supplier’s terms and conditions.
The winner and their travelling companions are responsible for ensuring that they have all necessary documents to travel.
Where a part of the Travel Prize involves the winner and their travelling companions attending an event, if any part of the event is abandoned, called off, varied or postponed for any reason, that part of the Travel Prize may be forfeited without compensation at the Promoter’s discretion, subject to the approval of any relevant gaming authorities, where required.
If any of the winner’s nominated travel companions is under 18 years of age (Minor) and the winner is not the parent or legal guardian of the Minor, the winner must have written permission from at least one parent (or legal guardian) of the Minor for the Minor to travel with the winner under their care, supervision and responsibility. This permission must be obtained by the winner prior to the Promoter booking travel arrangements, and must be provided to the Promoter upon request.
All additional costs not expressly stated, but which may be incurred in acceptance and use of the Travel Prize, are the responsibility of the winner and their travel companions. Such additional costs include, but are not limited to, additional meals, additional beverages, room service, telephone calls, laundry services, spending money (other than as provided in the Travel Prize), transport (other than as provided under the Travel Prize), taxes and any travel insurance. The winner or one of his or her traveling companions may be required to present a valid credit card at time of accommodation check-in and agrees to be liable for additional costs not expressly included as part of the Travel Prize.
Acceptance of the Travel Prize is subject to any prevailing terms and conditions of accommodation, transport, services, transfers and event or tour providers, and in particular, any stated health, behaviour, age and safety requirements. No compensation will be payable by the Promoter or its representatives if the winner or his or her nominated travel companion, are unable to use any element of the Travel Prize as stated for whatever reason including but not limited to reasons such as refusal of entry or ejection by accommodation, transport, services, transfers, venues, event or tour providers as a result of the winner or his or her travel companion not meeting relevant criteria. Unless expressly stated otherwise in these terms and conditions, any part of the Travel Prize that is not taken for any reason is forfeited.
Except as explained in paragraph 3 the Travel Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and with the exception of the $2,000 spending money cannot be taken in monetary form. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications or liabilities that may arise for the winner from claiming the Travel Prize.
Any Travel Prize values for goods or services referenced in these terms and conditions are a reference to Australian dollars.
If the Travel Prize or element of the Travel Prize becomes unavailable, for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, then a comparable prize or prize element of equal or greater value will be awarded in lieu, subject to any written directions made by the relevant gaming regulator under applicable State or Territory laws.
