“Ibis Expedition” Internet Contest regulations
Article 1: Organisation
ACCOR, a limited company with a capital of 684,159,306 Euros, whose head office is located at 110
Avenue de France – 75013 Paris, registered in the Paris Company and Trade Register under number B
602 036 444, hereafter known as the “Organising Company”. The Organising Company is organising a
free contest, no purchase required, entitled “Ibis Expedition” (hereafter known as the “Contest”),
starting at 10am on 23 January 2014 and finishing at midnight on 14 February 2014, as described in
these regulations.
The Contest and its promotion are neither managed nor sponsored by Facebook. The Organising
Company thereby releases Facebook from any responsibility concerning any part of the Contest, its
organisation and its promotion.
Article 2: Participation
This Contest is open to any physical person meeting all the following conditions:
§ Aged 18 years and over.
§ Living in mainland France, Great Britain, Holland, Belgium, Australia, Poland, Germany,
Morocco, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Benin, Togo, Ghana,
Senegal, Nigeria, Guinea Conakry, Gabon, South Korea, Hong-Kong, Indonesia, Japan,
Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam.
§ Holder of a Facebook account,
§ Fan of the “Ibis” page on Facebook,
The following contestants will be excluded from participation: anyone who has directly or indirectly
participated in the production of the Contest along with their beneficiaries, employees of the
Organising Company and its subsidiaries, employees of BETC (hereafter the “Technical Service
Provider”) and its subsidiaries, employees of SCP Nadjar & Associés, Huissiers de Justice (SCP Nadjar
& Associates, Court Bailiffs) in Neuilly-sur-Seine, and the beneficiaries of these companies plus all
ACCOR employees and their beneficiaries.
The contestants specified above, who are eligible for prizes from the Contest, will hereinafter be
referred to as the “Contestants”. A Contestant is any person presenting the same surname, the same
first name and the same email address/Facebook account. Participation in the Contest is strictly
nominative; Contestants may not, under any circumstances, participate using several pseudonyms,
several e-mail and/or postal addresses or several Facebook accounts.
By express agreement with the Contestants, the Organising Company and the Operators, the
Organising Company and Operators’ computer systems and files are admissible until proven
otherwise. Dates and times recorded are those provided by the Operators’ computer system. They
cannot be challenged by the Contestants.

Contestants cannot use the Contest for purposes that might be contrary to the interests and image
of the Contest or the Organising Company.
Any contestant attempting to intervene in the Contest’s computer system in any way will be
excluded from the Contest.
Contest participation takes place exclusively over the Internet. Consequently, registration by
phone, fax, email or the post cannot be considered.
Participation in this Contest implies full acceptance without reservation of these regulations, ethics
in force on the Internet and laws and regulations that can be applied to free Contests and
advertising lotteries with no reservations or restrictions. Contestants who do not abide by these
conditions will nullify their participation and possible incur their own liability.
The Contestants authorise any type of verification to be made concerning their identity, residence
or age. Any indications of false identity or age will automatically result in elimination from the
Contest.
Article 3: Participation methods
Contestants should connect to the facebook.com/ibis site and follow this procedure:
§ Fill in the identification request allowing access to their Facebook account
§ In the event that the contestant is not a fan of the “Ibis” page, they should click “Like” on
the “Ibis” Facebook page to become a fan and be able to take part in the Contest.
§ Click on the “Ibis Expedition” tab?
Once on the Contest page, Contestants participate in the Contest as follows:
§ Click the “Play” button
§ Answer six questions from the questionnaire (3 chances to answer for each question with
only one correct answer) by
o Ticking the selected answer
o Clicking “Next”
At the end of the questionnaire, contestants should fill in the registration form
§ The following fields are compulsory:
o Surname
o First Name
o E-mail
o Address
o Town/City
o Postcode
§ Tick the box “I accept the regulations and the general conditions”
§ Click “Validate”

Each correct answer from the Contestant will give him/her an entry to the prize draw described in
article 4.
§ Example 1: A contestant with 2 correct answers will have two entries in the prize draw
described in article 4.
§ Example 2: A contestant with 6 correct answers will have six entries in the prize draw
described in article 4.
Only Contestants who have obtained a minimum of one (1) correct answer out of the six (6)
questions in the questionnaire will be eligible for the prize draw.
Contestants can restart the questionnaire as many times as they wish until the Contest closes.
However, only the Contestant’s top score will be taken into account so Contestants can only ever
have 6 entries.
§ A Contestant cannot therefore have more than 6 chances of winning.
Any registration that is incomplete or contains incorrect information will be considered void. The
contestant’s participation must be valid to be able to win a prize. Any false declaration of identity
and/or address or incomplete information will invalidate the winner’s participation and result in his/her
elimination.
Just one prize will be awarded per winner (same name, same email address, same Facebook
account, same IP address) and per person throughout the Contest. Inasmuch as Contest participation
is strictly nominative, in no event can Contestants participate using several pseudonyms, several email
and/or postal addresses or several Facebook accounts.
Article 4: Determining the winners
The Contest’s prize draw will be carried out and witnessed by SCP Nadjar & Associés, Huissiers de
Justice in Neuilly-sur-Seine, 164, avenue Charles de Gaulle, 92200 Neuilly-sur-Seine within three
weeks of the end of the Contest.
During this draw, 28 winners and 10 runners-up will be selected.
The prizes will be awarded as follows:
§ 1st place prize: Winner no.1
§ 2nd place prize: Winner no.2
§ 3rd place prize: Winner no. 3 to winner no. 5 (inclusive)
§ 4th place prize: Winner no. 6 to winner no. 8 (inclusive)
§ 5th place prize: Winner no. 9 to winner no. 16 (inclusive)
§ 6th place prize: Winner no. 17 to winner no. 18 (inclusive)
§ 7th place prize: Winner no. 19 to winner no. 28 (inclusive)
1st to 7th place prizes will be reassigned to runners-up no. 1 to 10.
o The list will be updated and a 1st to 7th place winner could possibly benefit from a
higher place prize.
o The highest placed runners-up will receive unclaimed higher placed Contest prizes.

Article 5. Prizes
This Contest allows Contestants to win the following prizes.
5.1.: “Ibis Expedition” Contest Prizes
5.1 1st Prize
The following prize will be awarded to the 1st place winner:
§ 1 trip to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) for 2 people including
o Return flights from the winner’s closest town offering international flights to Rio de
Janeiro.
– Economy class (flights might include one or more stopovers)
o 7 nights’ accommodation (double room in the Rio de Janeiro Botafogo Ibis hotel
including breakfast)
o Prize worth a maximum of €3500 (including VAT)
– No additional expenses or services (accommodation, meals, drinks etc.) will
be included other than those described in the actual prize.
– In the event that the final amount of the prize is less than the maximum
amount, no compensation will be possible.
– The prize is only valid according to different service providers’ availability,
among the dates subsequently offered by the Organising Company and
before 31 December 2014:
– Not during school holidays;
– Not during the World Cup football tournament (12 June to 13 July
2014);
– Not during the Rio de Janeiro Carnival (26 February to 2 March
2014).
The Organising Company reserves the right to replace one prize with another with the same value
and similar characteristics in the event of force majeure or out of stock, without giving rise to any
type of claim. Any photographs of products are merely for illustration and are not contractual.
Prizes cannot be exchanged and can under no circumstances be cashed in for any type of currency.
It is specified that the Organising Company will not provide any type of service provision or
warranty as the winnings merely consist of providing the aforementioned prizes. The Organising

In the event of non-compliance with the way the prizes are awarded or if the prize is refused (see
article 6) by the winners, this prize will not be reassigned or put back into the Contest and will
become the property of the Organising Company.
5.2 2nd Prize
The following prize will be awarded to the 2nd place winner:

§ One “Sweet Bed by Ibis” bed
o Important: Only Contestants living in the following countries can receive the 2nd
place prize: mainland France, Great Britain, Netherlands, Belgium, Australia,
Poland, Germany, Morocco, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal and Indonesia.
o Characteristics
– 160x200cm / height of the bed base (with legs), 2nd category base
– 40cm / mattress thickness: 15cm / topper thickness: 7cm
– Bed content: bed base, mattress, topper (quilt and pillow not provided)
o Delivery costs included
o Prize worth a maximum of €1600 (including VAT)
– In the event that the final amount of the prize is less than the maximum
amount, no compensation will be possible.
– Delivery is only valid according to availability from the different service
providers before 31 December 2014
– Any extra expenses incurred in the event of a failed delivery will be
charged to the winner.
No expenses or service provisions are included other than described for this prize. Specifically, the
winner’s previous bed will not be removed.

and similar characteristics in the event of force majeure or out of stock, without giving rise to any

o Prize worth approximately €189 (including VAT)
o Delivery costs included. Prize sent within 100 days of the end of the Contest.

and similar characteristics in the event of force majeure or out of stock, without giving rise to any

The following prize will be awarded to the eight 5th place winners:

o trousers
o a shirt
o a sleeping bag
o a hat
§ Prize worth approximately €215 (including VAT)
§ Delivery costs included. Prize sent within 100 days of the end of the Contest.
The kits will be attributed in the following way to be reviewed, as appropriate, depending on the

winners’ gender and size – contact the management company.

§ Prize worth approximately €65 (after tax)
§ Delivery costs included. Prize sent within 100 days of the end of the Contest.
The Organising Company reserves the right to replace one prize with another with the same value
and similar characteristics in the event of force majeure or out of stock, without giving rise to any
type of claim. Any photographs of products are merely for illustration and are not contractual.

5.7 7th Prize
The following prize will be awarded to the ten 7th place winners:

Article 6: Prize delivery method
After verifying that winners meet participation conditions (stated in article 2), they will be
informed that they have won by email within 21 days of the end of the Contest.
If it is proven that one of the winners does not meet the Contest participation conditions, the prize
will be assigned to the first eligible runner-up contestant.
§ Winners should prove their identity (photocopy of an identity document: ID card, passport
or driving licence) by return of email or by post and confirm the postal address to which
their prize will be sent.
o If the winner does not reply within 21 days of the date the email was sent informing
him/her that he/she has won a prize in the Contest, the prize will be considered as
having been refused by the contestant and will be reassigned. An email will be sent
any to any possible runners-up within 10 days of reassigning the prizes.
o If the runner-up does not reply within 14 days of sending the email informing them
that they have won, the prize will be considered to have been refused by the
runner-up and will not be reassigned.
The 1st Prize winner will be informed how their prize will be awarded by the Organising Company.
The 2nd prize will be awarded as indicated in article 4 of these regulations.
The 3rd to 7th place prizes will be sent out within 100 days of the end of the Contest.
Under no circumstances can the Organising Company be held responsible in the event of loss and/or
damage to prizes by the postal service and/or in the event of defective postal services. If the postal
or electronic address provided by the winner is incorrect, or if the prize cannot be delivered, this
prize will become the property of the Organising Company.
Any registration that is incomplete or contains incorrect information will be considered void. The
contestant’s participation must be valid to be able to win a prize. Any false declaration of identity
and/or address or incomplete information will invalidate the winner’s participation and result in his/her
elimination.

Winners authorise any verification concerning their identity or their age. Any indications of false
identity or age will automatically lead to elimination.
Article 7: Reimbursing expenses
Any expenses and any service provision not explicitly described in the prize description in article 5
(concerning type of transport, transfer, accommodation costs, catering etc.) shall be paid entirely
by the winners and cannot be reimbursed by the Organising Company.
If a Contestant incurs expenses to participate in the Contest, he/she can obtain, upon request, the
reimbursement of telephone costs corresponding to the time necessary to connect to the website
and participate in the Contest; using the France Telecom rate and based on a 2-minute connection,
the total amount is 0.446 Euro including VAT (0.223 Euro per minute). The cost of the stamp
purchased by the Contestant for this request will also be reimbursed, upon written request, using
the 2nd class post rate in force. Just one reimbursement request is allowed per Contestant
registered in the Contest and per envelope (same name and same address). Incomplete or incorrect
requests will not be taken into account.
All requests must include bank details and a receipt from France Telecom or a service provider
(other than the subscription to a flat rate), within 15 days of the operation’s closing date, on proof
of postmark, to the following address: Achak – “Jeu Ibis” 101 rue de Prony 75017 Paris.
In view of the services and technical offers currently on the market, whereby most internet service
providers offer a free connection or flat rate to internet users, it is expressly agreed that, because
access to the Contest website made using a free connection or flat rate (such as connection by
cable, broadband or a leased line), cannot be reimbursed to the extent that the subscription to the
service provider in this case is contracted for the internet user’s general use of the internet and
that the Contestant does not incur any additional costs when connecting to the Contest website.
Article 8: Liability
Should circumstances require this, the Organising Company reserves the right to shorten, lengthen
or cancel this Contest, without being held liable.
If for any reason, this Contest cannot take place as scheduled following events such as a computer
virus, a bug, a break-in, an external and unauthorised intrusion into the computer system, fraud, a
technical problem or any other reason beyond the control of the organiser that compromises or
affects the management, security, fairness or the correct running of the Contest, the Organising
Company reserves the discretionary right to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest or even to
terminate it immediately, without the Contestants being able to hold the company liable.
The Organising Company will not be held responsible for any possible malfunctions in the actual
Internet network or due to hacking, attempt at hacking or fraud that leads to faults in the Contest’s
administration, security, fairness, integrity or management. It will specifically not be declared
responsible for any errors, omissions, interruptions, deletion or loss of any emails and, more
generally, the loss of any data as a result.

The Organising Company will not be held responsible for any Internet network overload, the quality
of the internet users’ equipment or the quality of their access that might affect how long the
answers take to be sent or the connection time required for participation. It is thereby not liable if
electronic participation forms are not recorded, incomplete or impossible to verify.
The Organising Company will not be held responsible for any type of damage originating from a case
of force majeure or any other external influence.
The Organising Company will not take any responsibility in the event of an incident or accident
occurring when using and/or coming into possession of the prize.
Article 9: Authorisation
Contestants kindly authorise the Organising Company to make all the necessary verifications
concerning their identity and their details.
By accepting their prize, winners expressly authorise the Organising Company to use their surname,
first name and address for any promotional communication or advertising linked to this Contest,
without any payment for this use other than the prize received. This authorisation is agreed for the
duration of 1 (one) year starting from 01/03/2014 (midnight) and only for promotional material
relating to this Contest.
Article 10: Abiding by the regulations and claims
10.1. Ticking the box “I accept the regulations and the conditions for use” implies full acceptance of
these regulations in their entirety.
Participating in the Contest implies fair play, meaning that the rules and rights of other contestants
should be respected.
Contestants are prohibited from implementing or trying to implement any participation process that
does not strictly comply with the Contest principles and these regulations.
The Organising Company reserves the right to exclude from the Contest any person who does not
abide by these regulations entirely and to prosecute anyone who attempts fraud or to harm the
Contest’s performance.
10.2. The Organising Company could decide to cancel the Contest if it appears that obvious fraud
has taken place in any way, particularly computer fraud within the framework of Contest
participation or determining the winners.
The Organising Company reserves the right to make any verification required to abide by this article
and all the regulations, especially to rule out any contestants that have committed any type of
abuse or attempt at fraud.
It is agreed that the data contained in the Organising Company’s computer systems has probative
value regarding connection and the information resulting from computer processing relating to the
Contests organised by the Organising Company.

10.3. Any claim or dispute regarding how these regulations are interpreted or applied will be
decided by the Organising Company under the supervision of the court bailiff with whom the
regulations have been filed, and after obtaining the said court bailiff’s counsel.
No telephone or written request will be heard concerning how these regulations are interpreted or
applied or the mechanisms and methods of participation.
Article 11: Data Protection
Personal data, followed by an asterisk and compiled for this Contest, is compulsory and necessary to
process participation and award prizes. It is exclusively intended for the Organising Company that is
responsible for processing the data.
However, the Organising Company is authorised by the contestants to send their data to
subcontractors and/or service providers exclusively for the purposes of running the Contest.
Contestants have the right to access, rectify or remove information concerning them upon written
request to the Organising Company at the following address: Achak – “Jeu Ibis” 101 rue de Prony
75017 Paris.
Personal data will be processed in compliance with the Data Protection Act dated 6 January 1978
and modified on 6 August 2004.
Article 12: Deposit and consultation of the regulations
The complete regulations, exclusively submitted to French law, are deposited with SCP Nadjar &
Associés, Huissiers de Justice in Neuilly-sur-Seine, 164, avenue Charles de Gaulle 92200 Neuilly-sur-
Seine.
They are available free of charge on facebook.com/ibis and upon request at the following address:
Achak – “Jeu Ibis” 101 rue de Prony 75017 Paris.
Expenses for stamps incurred by the demand for the regulations will be reimbursed on the basis of
second class post in France (please attached bank details). The reimbursement request should also
be sent to the following address: Achak – “Jeu Ibis” 101 rue de Prony 75017 Paris.
There can only be one reimbursement request per home (same surname and/or same IP email
address and/or home address) for the entire duration of the Contest.
Article 13: Interpreting the regulations
The Organising Company will decide any matters relating to applying these regulations or any
questions that arise which are not regulated by them.
Any fraud or non-compliance with these regulations could result in the perpetrator’s exclusion from
the Contest with the Organising Company reserving the right to prosecute as they see fit.
Any challenge or claim regarding this Contest should be formulated in writing and sent within one
month after the end of the Contest to the address given in article 11.
