Expedia & Travel Alberta Promotion (“Promotion”)
Promotion Official Rules
Information on how to enter, the prizes and rules for redeeming the prizes form part of the terms and conditions of entry for the Promotion. Participation in the Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of Official Rules (“Official Rules”) and any other notices referenced herein.
The Official Rules are comprised of:
1. Promotion Specific Terms & Conditions) set out in Part A below;
2. the General Terms & Conditions set out in Part B below; and
3. the Expedia Travel Voucher Terms & Conditions set out in Part C below.
In these Official Rules, the term “you” refers to the any person who enters, or who wishes to enter, the Promotion.

The Promoter
The Promoter is Expedia Australia Pty Limited ACN 101 694 946 of Suite 1, Level 2, 77 King Street, Sydney NSW 2000 and Expedia, Inc of 333 108th Avenue NE, Bellevue, WA 98004, USA.
The Sponsor is Travel Alberta of 400-1601 9th Ave. SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0H4.
The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Pinterest, Inc. By entering the Promotion, you understand that you are providing your information to the Promoter and the Sponsor and not Pinterest, Inc.

Promotion Period
The Promotion Period:
(a) commences at 10:00:01 am AEST on Thursday, 28 August 2014; and
(b) closes at 11:59:59 pm AEST on Thursday, 25 September 2014,
unless the Promotion ends earlier in accordance with these Terms.

Who may enter
(a) Entry to the Promotion is open to legal residents of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Japan, who are the age of majority in their jurisdiction and at least 18 years old (or at least 20 years old in Japan) at the date of entry, and who otherwise meet the requirements set out in these Official Rules.
(b) Employees and officers of the Promoters and the Sponsor, and their respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotion and advertising agencies associated with the Promotion and their immediate family members (spouse and parents, children and siblings and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household, whether or not related, of the foregoing are not eligible to enter the Promotion or to be awarded any prizes in connection with the Promotion.

How to enter
To enter the Promotion, you must, at any time during the Promotion Period:
(a) visit http://alberta.expedia.com.au; and
(b) once on the Win A Trip Promotion Page follow the instructions to:
(i) follow Travel Alberta’s Pinterest profile found at: http://www.pinterest.com/travelalberta/; and Expedia’s Pinterest profile found at:
http://www.pinterest.com/expediaANZ/ ; and
(ii) read the clue to the mystery location given on the Pinterest promotion page of http:// alberta.expedia.com.au
(iii) select one (1) pin from the Discover Alberta Pinterest board featured on this page that you believe represents the location described in the clue;
(iv) register your details including your full name, e-mail address and the name the chosen pin;
(v) indicate, where prompted, your acceptance of the Official Rules of the Sweepstakes; and
(vi) Click “Submit” to receive one (1) entry into the Runner-Up Drawing and one (1) entry into the Grand Prize Drawing.
Pinning an image to one of your existing boards will prompt you to log-in to you Pinterest account, if you are not logged in already. Failure to provide accurate and complete information will render the entry invalid. All entries must be received by the close of the Promotion Period to be eligible.
Entries submitted by any method other than the method detailed above will be automatically deemed invalid. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means or practices, or by any means which subvert the entry process will be void.

Number of entries
You may submit a maximum of one (1) entry per person and per email address and per Pinterest account to the Promotion throughout the Promotion Period. Any entries in addition to this will be automatically disqualified and the Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, disqualify your participation in the Promotion. For the avoidance of doubt, you may only use one (1) email address and one (1) Pinterest account to enter this Promotion.

Prizes
The prizes to be awarded in connection with this Promotion are as follows, and will be awarded in accordance with the Prize Conditions set out below:
(a) One runner-up prize winner who will receive one (1) USD$1,000 voucher (approx. AUD$1,050) for use on Expedia.com for booking of an eligible hotel or flight+hotel package booking, in accordance with all voucher terms and conditions (see Part C below for details).
(b) One grand prize winner who will receive the grand prize of a holiday to either Calgary or Edmonton, Canada to the maximum value of USD $7,500 (approx. AUD$8,050.00), which will be booked by the Sponsor on behalf of and in consultation with the grand prize winner.

Prize Conditions
The Runner-Up Prize and Grand Prize are subject to the following conditions:
§ All applicable federal, state, provincial, local, income and withholding taxes, if any, including, without limitation, any taxes for the air transportation (including any fuel surcharge) which are payable to the airline at the time of booking are the sole responsibility of each winner. In the event that any tax withholding is required by law for a prize, each winner authorizes Sponsor to make the corresponding deduction.
§ Each winner is responsible for all costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided, including, without limitation, incidentals, luggage fees, meals, ground transportation, the cost of airport transfers and travel insurance.
§ Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor or Promoter. No substitution, assignment, transfer, or cash equivalent of a prize is permitted, except by Sponsor or Promoter, who reserve the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at their sole discretion.
§ All prize details are at Sponsor’s and Promoter’s sole discretion.
Major Prize Conditions
Grand Prize is subject to the following conditions:
§ Grand Prize winner and any guest must travel together on the same itinerary and are responsible for obtaining any necessary documentation (i.e., valid visas, passports, etc.) prior to travel.
§ Guest must be of legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence (and at least 18), unless the guest is the child or legal ward of winner, and must sign a liability/publicity release prior to issuance of travel documents. If the guest is the child or legal ward of the winner, the winner must sign and return release on behalf of such child or legal ward.
§ Specific travel dates and reservations in connection with the Grand Prize are subject to Sponsor approval, availability and certain restrictions may apply.
§ Winner must provide Sponsor with 45 days’ notice of his/her preferred travel dates.
§ Once issued, tickets are non-transferable and may not be reissued once travel has commenced.
§ Passes and tickets are subject to certain terms and conditions are specified thereon. Winner and his/her guest must comply with all venue rules and regulations. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of such portion of prize.
§ ARV of Grand Prize may vary depending upon the point of departure, ground transportation, and/or airline fare fluctuations; any difference between stated ARV and actual value of Grand Prize will not be awarded.
§ The Grand Prize must be redeemed by the date notified by the Sponsor, and all travel in connection with the prize must be taken by 1 October 2015.

Prize Value and Numbers for Promotion
The total prize pool value for trade promotion lottery permit purposes is a maximum of AUD $9,100.
A.9
Draws and Prize Winner Notification
(a) At noon on Thursday, 2 October 2014, the Promoter will conduct a random draw at the offices of Expedia Australia Pty Limited, 77 King Street, Suite 1/Level 2, Sydney NSW 2000 to select one (1) potential Grand Prize Winner and one (1) potential Runner-Up Winner from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.
(b) Odds of winning depends on the number of eligible entries received in all jurisdictions. Each eligible entry has an equal probability of winning.
(c) The potential prize winners will be notified by e-mail using the contact details provided at the time of entry within two (2) days of the drawing.
(d) If a potential winner is a Canadian resident, prior to being declared the actual winner such potential winner will be required to correctly answer Sponsor’s time-limited mathematical skill-testing question (administered by telephone or via declaration of eligibility form) without assistance of mechanical or electronic aid. If such skill-testing question is answered incorrectly, the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner will be selected from among all remaining eligible entries.
(e) The name of the Promotion prize winners will be published on http:// alberta.expedia.com.au for a period of 28 days from the date of the announcement.

Redraws/Unclaimed Prizes
(a) In the event that a prize winner fails to claim his or her prize within three (3) months of the date of notification, such prize winner will be deemed to have forfeited the prize and Sponsor will have no further obligation to such winner.
(b) If the prize is forfeited, the Promoter will conduct a random drawing to select a new potential winner in respect of the forfeited prize from all remaining eligible entries submitted during the Promotion Period at noon on Monday, 5 January 2015 at the same location as the original draw. Disposal of any unclaimed prizes may be made subject to any written directions given by any government authority and pursuant to any relevant legislation.
(c) The new potential winner will be notified by email within 24 hours of the redraw, using the contact details provided by that person when entering the Promotion and such potential winner will also be announced on http:// alberta.expedia.com.au on that same date and displayed for a period of 28 days.
