Competitions Terms and Conditions

By entering the “Million Dollar Minute – That’s Life Million Dollar Cash Splash” Competition (“the Competition”), you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

1. STANDARD TERMS

1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.

2. WHO CAN ENTER

2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to all residents of Australia 18 years of age or older where the Channel Seven signal and its affiliated networks (“Affiliates”) signals are received.2.2 Employees and their immediate families of the Seven Network (Operations) Limited, Pacific Magazines, Mnet Mobile Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.

3. HOW TO ENTER

3.1 The Competition commences on Monday 10 March 2014 at 17:00 (AEDT) and concludes on Monday 24 March 2014 at 17:00 (AEDT) (“the Competition Period”) however, the eligible contesting period for each daily prize will commence and conclude on the following dates (“Contesting Period”):

3.2 In order to enter, viewers must:

a) Purchase either a copy of ‘That’s Life’ magazine issue 10 on sale from 6 March 2014 (“Game Card 1”) or ‘That’s Life’ magazine issue 11 on sale from 13 March 2014 (“Game Card 2”).

b) Viewers will need to collect the relevant ‘Million Dollar Minute’ weekly competition game card which will be located on the front cover of ‘That’s Life’ magazine issue 10 and 11.

c) Watch Million Dollar Minute (“The Program”) each weeknight during the Competition Period broadcast on the Seven Network and affiliates. Each afternoon throughout the Competition Period, there will be a competition segment aired during the Program which will display daily code word information as well as registration details. The competition segment will instruct entrants to scratch a particular box on their Game Card for that day to reveal the daily code word.

d) Ring 1902 55 77 06 and register the daily code word, full name, full address, state, postcode, daytime contact telephone number (including STD area code); OR

e) send a text message/SMS to 19 777 677 and register the daily code word, full name, suburb, state, postcode

3.4 For clarity and in conjunction with clause 3.1, Game Card 1 is eligible for contesting days 1,2,3,4,5 only and Game Card 2 is eligible for contesting days 6,7,8,9,10 onlyMDM – That’s Life Million Dollar Cash Splash Comp TCs FINAL 2 / 4

3.5 All entrants in the Competition may enter as many times as they like, however, entrants can win only one minor prize throughout the Competition Period (except entrants from South Australia who are entitled to win more than one prize). However, minor prize winners are eligible to win the major prize.

3.6 For viewers in all states, the entry costs (for both 1902 and SMS entry) is $0.55 fixed (including GST). Note that SMS entries are charged at a premium rate. Higher rates apply to calls to the 1902 prefix phone number from mobile phones.

3.7 Each entry must be charged to a mobile account and SMS entries via the internet, computer generation or “scripting” are invalid and will not be accepted.

3.8 Entries must be received by the date and times detailed in clause 3.1. The time of entry will in each case be the time the SMS message or 1902 entry is received by the Mnet Mobile Pty Ltd database.3.9 SMS entrants will receive a reply message to their entry.

4. PRIZES

4.1 There will be ten (10) minor prize winners and one (1) major prize winner drawn in total from the national pool of SMS and 1902 entrants throughout the Competition Period per date and times stated in clause 3.1.

4.2 Each of the ten (10) daily minor prize winners will receive $5,000.00 AUD for being drawn as a daily winner. For clarity, one minor prize winner will be drawn on each date and time stated in clause 3.1

4.3 There will be one (1) major prize winner who will receive the opportunity to participate in a game of chance to win $1,000,000 AUD.

4.4 The total maximum minor prize pool is $50,000 AUD and the total maximum major prize pool is $1,000,000 AUD. The total maximum prize pool value for the Competition Period is $1,050,000 AUD. Prize values are correct at the date of printing.

4.5 In accepting the prize the winners agree to participate in and co-operate with all reasonable media editorial requests, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, and the winners grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

4.6 The winners agree they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.

4.7 Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable.

4.8 The minor prizes will be awarded to each winner as one lump sum in the form of a cheque made payable to the minor winner within 28 days of each draw and only after proof of age has been verified by the Promoter.

4.9 In the event that the eligible major prize winner is successfully awarded the $1,000,000 major prize in the game of chance, the Promoter will notify the major winner and arrange fulfillment for the Major Prize, which may take up to 90 days. Within 28 days of winning, the Promoter will provide the major winner with documentation confirming the major prize winner’s entitlement to the major prize. Delivery of the major prize is subject to receipt of the major winner’s photo identification. If the major prize winner selects the $10,000 item in the game of chance, the promoter will deliver the prize as a lump sum cheque within 28 days of the winning of the prize, subject to proof of age of the winner being verified by the Promoter.

4.10 Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.

5. HOW TO WIN

5.1 There will be eleven (11) prize winners in total drawn from the national pool of entrants (ten (10) minor prize winners in total and one (1) major prize winner in total).Each entrant who has entered the Competition in accordance with these terms and conditions during the Competition Period using a mobile phone with a reply path and whose SMS message has passed through the Telco carriers network to Mnet Mobile Limited’s database or phoned the 1902 number and registered all details required by the individual draw dates and time stated in clause 3.1 will be entered into the daily winner draw (“Qualifying Entrant”).

5.2 The daily minor prize winner draws will take place at Mnet Mobile Limited, Level 1, 16 Anster Street, Adelaide, South Australia 5000 on the dates and time detailed in clause 3.1.

5.3 The major prize winner draw will take place at Mnet Mobile Limited, Level 1, 16 Anster Street, Adelaide, South Australia 5000 on Monday 24 March 2014 at 17:20 AEDT.

5.4 It is a condition that the major prize winner:a) Attends their local Seven Network office by Friday 25 April 2014 to fulfil the major prize.b) The major winner will participate in a game of chance by selecting one (1) out of one hundred (100) ‘Million Dollar Minute’ items which will all contain a pre-determined prize value. There will only be one opportunity to select an item for this game.MDM – That’s Life Million Dollar Cash Splash Comp TCs FINAL 3 / 4c) Ninety nine (99) items will contain $10,000 prize value, and one (1) item will contain $1,000,000 prize value.d) Whichever prize value is detailed in the randomly selected item will be the Australian dollar amount that the winner will receive.

5.5 The major prize winner may nominate one immediate family member (a spouse, de facto partner, child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of the major prize winner) to act as a proxy in this game of chance and participate in lieu of the major prize winner if they are not unable to attend. If the major prize winner cannot nominate an immediate family member to participate in this game of chance, the major prize winner will be deemed ineligible and a redraw will occur at the discretion of the Promoter.

5.6 The Promoter will cover transfer costs to and from the major winner’s place of residence to their local Seven office.

5.7 Major and minor winners will be will be notified by a phone call from the Seven Network Marketing department on the day of the draw, and a letter advising the Winner of their prize will also be express posted. The Winner’s entry details will be published in the Public Notes section of The Australian newspaper on Monday 31 March 2014.

5.8 The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.

5.9 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner (and any companions) may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.

5.10 The Promoter may in its absolute discretion deem entries invalid subsequently to a winner being notified or a winner’s name being announced if it is discovered that the winner did not enter the Competition in accordance with these terms and conditions. In these circumstances, no additional draw will be conducted.Subject to state government legislation, and if required, an unclaimed prize draw will take place on Monday Wednesday 25 June 2014 at 10:00 AEST at Mnet Mobile Pty Ltd, Level 1, 16 Anster Street, Adelaide, South Australia 5000. Winner(s) will be notified by mail and their details published in the Public Notes section of The Australian newspaper on Monday 30 June 2014 if required.
