Terms & Conditions
1.Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
2.Entry is open to residents of Australia. Directors, management, employees and their immediate families, of the Promoter, retailers, suppliers, associated entities and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Participants who are under the age of 18 must obtain the permission of their parent or guardian.
3.The promotion commences at 06.00am on 26/02/2014 and closes at 23.59pm on 18/03/2014 (“Promotional Period”).
4.All references to times and dates are to times and dates in Sydney, which is Australian Eastern Standard Time (“AEST”) or Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time (AEDST) which ever is applicable.

b.retain your receipt as proof of purchase and visit www.iga.com.au between 26/02/2014 and 18/03/2014. Go to the Promotion web page and enter your details (including entrant’s name, address, email address, phone number, store and State/Territory of purchase, purchase date and time along with the total purchase amount as shown on your qualifying purchase receipt).
6.Multiple entries will be accepted; however, each entry must correspond to a separate purchase receipt (excluding tobacco, liquor, fuel, public transport tickets, gaming products and gift cards) during the Promotional Period and must be submitted as a separate entry. Further, there is a limit of five entries allowed per person per day.
7.Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the promotion database and NOT at the time of transmission by the entrant. Any entry that is lodged by automatic, repetitive, robotic, programmed or similar entry methods or agents, including the use of a competition entry service, will be void.
8.ENTRANTS MUST RETAIN ALL ORIGINAL PURCHASE RECEIPTS SHOWING THE QUALIFYING PURCHASE, CORRESPONDING STORE NAME AND DATE AND TIME OF PURCHASE TO CLAIM ANY PRIZE. PROMOTER RESERVES, IN ITS ABSOLUTE DISCRETION, THE RIGHT TO REQUEST ALL PURCHASE RECEIPTS FOR EVERY ENTRY MADE BY AN ENTRANT. FAILURE TO PROVIDE ALL PURCHASE RECEIPTS FOR EACH ENTRY WHEN REQUESTED MAY, IN THE ABSOLUTE DISCRETION OF THE PROMOTER, RENDER ALL AN ENTRANT’S ENTRIES INVALID AND FORFEIT THEIR RIGHT TO ANY PRIZE, THE PRIZE WOULD THEN BE ALLOCATED DURING THE UNCLAIMED PRIZE DRAW. PURCHASE RECEIPT(S) MUST CLEARLY SPECIFY THE STORE OF PURCHASE AND THAT THE PURCHASE WAS MADE DURING THE PROMOTION PERIOD BUT PRIOR TO ENTRY.
9.There are a total of 210 Instant Win prizes to be awarded during the Promotional Period.
10.Each Instant Win Prize consists of a $250 IGA Gift Card.
11.The 210 Instant Win Prizes will be allocated equally to each calendar day of the Promotional Period. Therefore, 10 Instant Win Prizes will be awarded for each calendar day of the Promotional Period. The Promoter or its agent will use a computer drawing system to randomly determine provisional Instant Win Prize Winners. Participants will be notified online (via e-mail) if they are an instant winner and what prize they have won. Instant winners will be issued a unique Prize Claim Number as determined by the Instant Win system. The unique Prize Claim Number will need to be recorded by the participant for prize verification purposes. In the event of any dispute with the Promoter, or at the Prompter’s request, Instant Winners will be required to correctly quote their unique Prize Claim Number and or provide their qualifying receipt to be awarded their prize. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold the awarding of an instant prize to a participant who cannot provide a valid, unique Prize Claim Number and or receipt. Any unclaimed or un-verified prizes will be awarded during the second chance draw. Entrants who are not instant winners will be notified that they have been automatically entered into the unclaimed prize draw. Instant winners will be published in The Australian weekly on the following Tuesday of each week.
12.Entrants acknowledge that the instant win prizes available to be won for that day may have already been won at the time of entry.
13.All provisional Instant Winners will be confirmed by way of a letter in writing sent by the Promoter, either via email, mail or fax. Delivery of Instant Win Prizes is subject to confirmation of qualifying original purchase receipts.
14.All entries, including entries winning the Instant Win Prizes, will be entered into the draw to award the major prize and any unclaimed instant prizes. There are 10 Major Prizes, one of which will be awarded to each of the first ten valid entries drawn. The Major Prize Draw will take place at 14.00 on 20/03/2014 at Salmat Digital Level 2, 116 Miller Street, North Sydney NSW 2060.
15.There are 10 Major Prizes, each consisting of $5,000 in IGA Gift Cards.
16.Total RRP value of total prize pool = $102,500.
17.The winners of the Major Prize Draw will be notified by way of a letter in writing sent by the Promoter, either via email or mail, within 2 days of the draw, and delivery of Major Prizes are subject to confirmation of qualifying original purchase receipts.
18.The name of the Major Prize Draw winners will be published in The Australian on 26/03/2014.
19.IGA Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue, and are subject to IGA Gift Card terms and conditions, available at www.iga.com.au. All IGA stores are independently owned and operated, and as such, not all IGA stores sell or redeem Gift Cards.
20.Unless otherwise due to fraud or ineligibility under these conditions of entry, all existing claims for prizes and entitlements to claims will be met notwithstanding the advertised prize pool has been exceeded.
21.Printing errors or other quality control matters outside the control of the individual player shall not be used as the sole basis for refusing to award a prize. Programming and other quality control errors will not invalidate an otherwise valid prize claim.
22.The Promoters may contact an entrant at any time after receiving an entry, including without limitation during or after the Promotional Period or after the prize draw, for the purpose of determining whether the entrant meets the eligibility requirements.
23.Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of the promotion is final and binding on all who enter – no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
24.If a winner is under 18 years of age, then the Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to award the prize to the winner’s parent or guardian on their behalf and/or require that the parent or guardian and/or child execute such acknowledgment, indemnity and release as reasonably required in the circumstances.
25.If necessary, an unclaimed prize draw will be held on 20/06/2014 at the same time and place as the first draw in order to distribute any unclaimed instant win or major prizes. Winners will be notified by email within 2 days of the draw and the names of any unclaimed prize winners will be published in The Australian on 27/06/2014.
26.In the event that any prize (or any part of the prize) becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize (or the relevant part of a prize) with a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any written directions from the various lottery authorities.
27.The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winners and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions, or who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
28.To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its related companies and all those entities’ personnel (the “Relevant Parties”) exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or incurred by any person in connection with the promotion, including (i) any indirect, economic or consequential loss (ii) any loss arising from the negligence of a Relevant Party (iii) any liability for personal injury or death. Nothing in these conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify a person’s rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
29.The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant lottery authority) modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the promotion.
30.The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communication line failures, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration or non-receipt of an entrants submissions. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions (such as problems with telephone networks or lines, computer systems or software or internet service providers) or any failure of any internet communication or telephone communication to be received by the Promoter (whether as a result of technical problems or traffic congestion on any carrier network, on the internet or at any website). To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any injury or damage to any entrant’s (or any other person’s) computer or resulting from or otherwise relating to participation in this promotion (including by downloading materials relating to this promotion).
31.No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, or misdirected submission of entries or instant win notification messages.
32.The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, third parties, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this promotion which may occur in the course of the administration of this promotion.
33.Any costs associated with accessing the promotion web pages are the responsibility of the person seeking access and are dependent on the internet service provider used.
34.Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
