By submitting an entry to this promotion, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
This promotion is being run by Telstra Corporation Limited (ABN 33 051 775 556) of 400 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (“we”, “us” or “our”).
Dates you need to know
The promotion starts at 9.00am AEDST on 4 February 2014. Entries close and must be received by 5.00pm AEST on 8 April 2014 (“promotion period”).
The draw will take place at place at level 7, 175 Liverpool Street, Sydney NSW 2000 on 22 April 2014 at 2.00pm AEST. Our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Winners will be notified in writing within 2 days of the draw.
Who can enter?
Entry is open to all Australian residents, other than our officers, employees or contractors and other companies associated with the promotion, and their immediate families.
How do you enter?
To enter, you must, during the promotion period activate any Telstra Pre-Paid service by using one of the options listed below:
online via our automated activation application located at telstra.com/activate; or
via a 24×7 chat consultant at www.my.telstra.com.au/activate,
(each an “eligible entry”)
You will receive one entry in to the draw for each completed eligible entry, up to a maximum of five (5) entries. You may have up to five Telstra Pre-Paid services in your name.
Entries are accepted at the time the Pre-Paid service has been activated. The Telstra Pre-Paid service must be active at the time of the draw.
To be eligible for the draw, you must activate your Telstra Pre-Paid service online only at telstra.com/activate (via the automated system) or via a 24×7 chat consultant only. Any Pre-Paid service activated by any other method or URL, or via a Telstra store will not be eligible for the draw.
Invalid entries
We will verify the validity of entries (including an entrant’s identity, age and address). Entries that are incomplete, indecipherable or illegible will be deemed invalid. We may disqualify entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions.
The prize
The first 50 valid and correct entries drawn will each win a Pre-Paid Visa Card, valued at $100.00 (GST inclusive) (“prize”).
Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and is not redeemable for cash.
The total prize pool value is $5,000 (incl. GST).
Unless we expressly state otherwise, all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner.
We accept no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize.
Standard terms and conditions apply for the use of the Visa card and are subject to change. The terms and conditions which apply for the use of the Visa cards at the time they are issued to the Prize winners will prevail over these terms and conditions, to the extent of any inconsistency. Unclaimed prize draw
Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason whatsoever a winner does not redeem a prize or an element of the prize by the time stipulated by us, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu.
If required, an unclaimed prize draw may take place on 22 July 2014 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Redraw winners will be notified within 2 days of the redraw.
Our rights to use your entry
You must grant us a royalty free, perpetual and irrevocable license to use, modify, adapt and publish your entry. In particular, we may use your entry for promotional and marketing purposes and you waive all moral rights in your entry.
Photographs and comments from the winner
If you are the winner, we may contact you about the promotion, and take photos of you, and use your comments and photos for promotional and marketing purposes. If we do so, you grant us a royalty free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to use your comments and the photos for such purposes.
Use and disclosure of your information
We may use and disclose the information you provide in submitting an entry on the terms and for the purposes, including marketing, set out in our Privacy Statement, and as required to conduct this promotion, which may include disclosing that information to prize suppliers. Supply of an alternative prize
If we are unable to provide a winner with the prize, we will supply an alternative prize of greater or equal monetary value and/or specification, unless to do so would be prohibited by law and subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
If there is a dispute about the identity of an entrant, the entrant will be deemed to be the person in whose name the corresponding Pre-Paid account is held.
Suspension, cancellation, modification or termination of the promotion
If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are not able to conduct the promotion as anticipated, we may, unless to do so would be prohibited by law, disqualify any entrant, or subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the promotion.
Liability excluded
To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any loss or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the promotion including the prize or the taking of the prize. We accept no responsibility for any tax liabilities that may arise from winning the prize.
