CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
General
1. By participating in the Open Road Discover Chile promotion (Promotion), you will be deemed to have: (a) accepted these terms and conditions; and (b) expressly consented to our use of your personal information under the Privacy Act, Spam Act and other related communication and privacy legislation for marketing and other NRMA business purposes.
2. The promoter is National Roads and Motorists’ Association Limited, trading as NRMA Motoring & Services ABN 77 000 010 506 of 9A York St, Sydney NSW 2000 (Promoter).
3. The Promotion commences at 9am (AEST) on 6 November 2013 and entries close at 5pm (AEST) on 6 January 2014 (Promotional Period).
4. Entry is open to NRMA Members who reside in NSW or ACT and are over 18 years of age.
How to Enter
5. To enter this Promotion, you must during the Promotional Period:
a) tell us in 25 words or less why you want to win a trip to Chile; and
b) submit your entry by either registering online at www.mynrma.com.au/winatrip, or by
completing the Promotion coupon from Open Road magazine, then removing and mailing the coupon via standard post to NRMA Publishing, Open Road Competition, PO Box 1026, Strathfield, NSW 2135.
6. Your entry must include your name, address, email and telephone number and any other information so requested. Only one (1) entry per entrant is permitted.
7. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into with entrants.
8. All entries, once submitted, become the property of the Promoter.
Eligibility
9. Employees of the Promoter (Employees) and its Related Bodies Corporate (as this term is defined in the Corporations Act) and such employees’ immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
10. To protect the integrity of the competition, the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to verify, at any time (including after the closing of the Promotion) the validity of all entries (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits invalid, incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries or tampers with the entry process or uses any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means to submit repeated entries.
Draws and Prizes
11. The Promoter will review and judge all entries and decide, in its sole discretion, a winning entry. 12. The winner will receive a trip to Chile (Prize). The Prize consists of:
a) Return economy flights including taxes from Sydney to Santiago for 2 people
b) Private transfer (with English speaking guide) to and from Santiago Airport to the hotel
c) Two nights accommodation at Hotel Galerias, Santiago twin share with breakfast
included
d) Four night Patagonia cruise (inclusive port taxes) from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia, twin
share with all meals and entertainment on-board included
e) Private transfer (with English speaking guide) from Punta Arenas airport to cruise port
f) Ushuaia pier to airport transfer
13. The total prize pool value is $10,960 with individual components valued at:
a) Return economy flights including taxes from Sydney to Santiago for 2 people approx. $5230

b) Two nights accommodation at Hotel Galerias, Santiago twin share with breakfast included and Santiago Airport return private transfers –. $990
c) Four night Patagonia cruise from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia with all meals and entertainment on-board included approx. $4740
14. Prize is valid for travel from 18 September 2013 to 4 October 2014. Any variation to these dates may incur additional fees at the cost of the winner. Prize is subject to supplier’s standard terms and conditions see www.adventureworld.com.au for further details.
15. The Prize value is correct at time of printing and the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any subsequent variation in the Prize value.
16. All components of the Prize must be taken together and those components not taken will be deemed forfeited. Travel must be arranged by the winner contacting Adventure World quoting their full name and the name of this Promotion.
17. The winner and their nominated companion (who, on agreeing to participate in this Promotion and will benefit from the Prize, irrevocably and unconditionally consents to these terms applying to him/her as if he/she is the winner under these terms) must both be able to comply with the following:
a) Be aged over 18 years
b) Have a valid passport
c) Be able to make their own way to and from Sydney Airport
d) Be able to travel to and enter the country involved in this Promotion
e) Be able to travel between the dates specified in clause 14.
18. Prize is subject to availability at time of booking and the Prize supplier reserves the right to offer alternative dates and/or itineraries.
19. All out of pocket expenses, spending money, meals (other than those specified in clause 12), alcoholic beverages, insurance, passports, visas, excess baggage charges, and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winners (except as otherwise expressly stated in these terms and conditions).
20. If the Prize (or any component of the Prize) is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or that component of the Prize) with a prize of equal value or specification. No responsibility or liability is accepted for any variation in the value of the prizes. All prize values are in Australian dollars.
21. The Prize is not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash. It cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. It is non-commissionable and cannot be extended past 30 September 2014.
22. In a force majeure event (including, but not limited to, war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster, civil disorder, strikes, riots, quarantines, embargoes or other similar government action, computer virus, technical failures or any other malfunction or corruption of a computer system or network required to administer prizes) or any other circumstance beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to either provide an alternative travel destination to the same value as the original Prize or, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion in accordance with clause 30.
23. The winner will be notified by email on 16 January 2014 and their name will be published on http://www.mynrma.com.au/members/open-road-magazine.htm on 20 January 2014. Only the winner will receive written notification. If the winner cannot be reached within 1 month at the email address, address or telephone number provided on their entry, then they will unfortunately be disqualified and a new winner will be selected.
24. If for any reason a winner does not take their Prize (or an element of the Prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, or chooses not to participate in the Promotion, then that Prize (or element thereof), will be forfeited.
25. The winner agrees that any liability they may suffer as a result of receiving the goods or services that make up part or all of the Prize, is separate liability that is between them and the relevant supplier only, and is not the liability nor responsibility of the Promoter (except where the Promoter is the relevant supplier).

26. The details contained in your entry are protected by security safeguards as detailed in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, which is available at www.mynrma.com.au. Personal information will only be used in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. The Promoter will also endeavour to provide you with an option to opt out of receipt of such communications. You should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter.

28. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use your personal information (such as name, age, membership number and image, mobile phone number, email address) and any other information provided to the Promoter pursuant to this Promotion without remuneration or compensation to you for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning you and promoting the Promoter, its business and related companies.
Limitation of Liability
29. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any goods or services offered as part of the Promotion. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss (including indirect and consequential loss) suffered to person or property by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter or its employees or agents, in connection with the arrangement for the supply, or the supply, of goods and services by any person to the prize winner and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the prize winner. This clause does not affect any rights a consumer may have which are unable to be excluded under Australian law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its employees or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the costs of having the prize supplied again.
30. The Promoter may:
a) modify or suspend the Promotion if all entrants participating in the competition until that point are notified of the changes to these Conditions of Entry, upon notification of any such changes, the affected entrants may terminate their participation in the competition without any liability to the entrant; or
b) terminate or cancel the Promotion.
The Promoter will not be liable for any modification, suspension, termination or cancellation.
31. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
