Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the Terms and Conditions of Entry. Entry into this competition deems acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other reference to this competition, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
Who can enter
Subject to clause 4 and 5, entry is open to all residents of Australia, who have fulfilled the requirements set out below.
Employees, and their immediate families, of the Promoter, Woolworths Supermarkets and associated agencies and companies, contractors or individuals are not eligible to enter this competition. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de facto spouse, child or step child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step parent, grandparent, step grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step brother, step sister or first cousin. The Promoter is Chia Australia Pty Ltd T/A The Chia Company (ABN 95 123 746 743) of 262-276 Lorimer Street, Port Melbourne, Victoria 3207 (‘Promoter’).
Any entrant who is under the age of 18, as of the date of entry, must obtain the prior permission of their legal parent or guardian over the age of 18 to enter. The parent or guardian may be called to verify their consent and may be required to sign a release at the discretion of the Promoter. The release may also require the entrant’s parent or guardian to accept responsibility for the acts and forbearances of the entrant. The release must be completed with the full name, address and telephone number of the entrant’s parent or guardian. Failure to provide such proof, particulars or releases will immediately invalidate the entrant’s entitlement to any prize, subject to State and Territory legislation.
How to enter
Entrants may enter this competition during the Promotional Period (defined below) by purchasing one or more Chia Pod of any variant (‘Eligible Product Transaction’) from participating Woolworths Supermarkets. Entrants must then complete the online entry form at www.chiapod.com.au and include their receipt number as proof of purchase.
Entries must include all requested contact details, including a valid email/ postal address and contact number, to be eligible to win. Entrants may only enter in their own name. Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
Number of Entries permitted
One entry per Eligible Product Transaction (including at least one Chia Pod of any variety). All entrants must retain or keep a copy (electronic copy is acceptable) of their original receipts to validate proof of purchase during the Promotional Period. Such evidence must, on request by the Promoter, be provided to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter, to demonstrate that the entrant has complied with these Terms and Conditions. Any entrant found to be sharing any receipt or other proof to demonstrate Proof of Purchase with any other entrant, whether or not related in any way, will have all entries invalidated and will not be able to claim a prize. If such an entrant is awarded a prize and then found to have breached this clause, the entrant must immediately return any awarded prize to the Promoter. The Promoter has sole discretion to determine if this clause has been breached by any entrant. The Promoter reserves the right to request whatever documentation it deems necessary to confirm if the entrant has breached this clause. An entrant must provide any requested documentation to thePromoter upon request. The Promoter may conduct an immediate redraw if the first drawn entrant is unable to satisfy this clause.
Open, Close, Draw and Publish dates
The competition commences 10 February 2014 at 00:01 AEDT and closes 10 March 2014 at 23:59 AEDT (‘Promotional Period’). Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotional Period.
The winners will be the first valid entries drawn electronically by a third party digital agency &Mine (SA approval number 1100) commissioned by the Promoter at &Mine, Melbourne Level 3, 424 St. Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004 on 12 March 2014 at 12:00 AEDT. The Promoter will ensure that all entries have an equal chance of winning a prize. s
The winners will be notified by email within two business days of the draw. Their names will also be published on 14 March 2014 at www.thechiaco.com.au and www.chiapod.com.au for 28 days. Winners of a prize over $250 from SA will have their names published in The Advertiser Newspaper on 14 March 2014.
Prizes will be sent within 28 days of the draw.
The Promoter may conduct such further draws on 3 July 2014 at the same time and place as the original draw in order to distribute any prizes unclaimed by this date, subject to State and Territory legislation. Winners of any further draws will be notified by mail within two business days of the draw. Their names will also be published on 7 July 2014 at www.chiapod.com.au for 28 days. If the winner of a prize over $250 is from SA, their name will be published in The Advertiser Newspaper on 10 July 2014.

Unless expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions all other expenses are the responsibility of the winners (and their companions) including but not limited to current passports, visas, meals, spending money, transport to and from departure and arrival points, transfers, drinks, incidentals, mini-bar, laundry, room service, telephone calls, activities, gratuities, services charges, travel insurance, pre and post accommodation, optional activities or excursions and all other ancillary costs. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges. Holidays are subject to flight and booking availabilities.
By entering this competition, and by collecting a prize, the winner acknowledges and accepts that driving, travel and any other activities comprising the prize, are inherently dangerous and may result in death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses. The Promoter is not responsible for any acts of God, such as adverse weather conditions or industrial action or civil commotion that may occur whilst the winner is travelling. It is the responsibility of the prize-winner to enquire about local issues and conditions at destinations prior to travel. The Promoter does not guarantee that the winner will enjoy the travel prize or be suited to the type of travel prize that is offered.
Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the prize winner and their travel companions. All prize travel will be subject to the carrier’s General Conditions of Carriage. The Promoter and carrier make no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. International travel advice can be obtained from various sources, including local government, local consular offices and the web site of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade at www.smartraveller.gov.au. Prizes for travel for a particular event or attraction must be taken to coincide with the event or the times and dates during which the attraction is available.
