TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. All times in these Terms and Conditions are in Australian Eastern Standard Time (“AEST) for Australian residents and in New Zealand Standard Time (NZST) for New Zealand residents.
Entry is only open to Australian and New Zealand residents. Entrants under 18 years old must have parental/guardian approval to enter and further, the parent/guardian of the entrant must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions. Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to the minor entering this promotion. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating Muffin Break stores and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
To be eligible to enter and receive a scratch card, while stocks of scratch cards last, individuals must purchase, any Muffin Break muffin and coffee combination, in one transaction, from any participating Muffin Break store in Australia (for Australian residents) or New Zealand (for New Zealand residents) between 1st April 2014 and 11:59pm on 30th April 2014. For the avoidance of doubt, one (1) scratch card will be awarded per Muffin Break muffin and coffee combination purchased in a single transaction, subject to scratch card availability. Individuals must then scratch their scratch card to reveal whether or not they are an instant winner of a prize. Each scratch card has a 1 in 5 chance of winning an instant win prize.
All non-winners of an instant win prize can enter the 2nd chance draw for any unclaimed or un-won instant win prizes (excluding Muffin Break instant win muffin prizes). To enter the 2nd chance draw, non-winners must visit, www.muffinbreakmemoments.com, select if they are from Australia or New Zealand, follow the prompts to the 2nd chance draw entry page, input the requested details including the unique code found on their non-winning scratch card, and submit the fully completed entry form between 01/04/2014 and 11:59pm on 30/04/2014. For the avoidance of doubt, the 2nd chance draw will only be conducted if any instant win prize(s) (excluding the Muffin Break instant win muffin prizes) are unclaimed or un-won.
Instant Win Prizes
Instant Win Prizes available to be won in Australia (by Australian residents) are as follows:
47,124 x Muffin Break muffins valued at AU$4. Each prize consists of the winner’s choice of any Muffin Break muffin, subject to the availability of muffins on the day of redemption;
625 x 3 month Australian Woman’s Weekly magazine subscriptions valued at AU$20.85;
250 x AU$50 Pre-Paid Visa Cards; and
1 x family holiday for four (4) to Hamilton Island (“AU Major Prize”). The AU Major Prize is a trip for two (2) adults and two (2) children (11years or under) to Hamilton Island valued at up to AU$10,420.00 depending on date and point of departure. Prize includes:
return economy airfares for two (2) adults and two (2) children from winner’s nearest capital city to Hamilton Island (only provided if winner resides outside of Hamilton Island). If the winner is from Hamilton Island, then the prize does not include airfares and the airfare component of the prize is not redeemable for cash;
6 nights twin share 4 star accommodation in a family share room at the Reef View Hotel (or similar, subject to availability);
return airport to hotel transfers for two (2) adults and two (2) children;
breakfast daily (set menu) for two (2) adults and two (2) children;
a 60 minute massage or body treatment for two (2) people;
a dinner for two (2) adults and two (2) children up to the value of AU$300 (restaurant to be selected by the Promoter at its discretion); and
AU$1,000 spending money for the winner only.
Additional spending money, additional meals, insurance, transport to and from departure point, additional transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included. The AU Major Prize must be taken by 31st May 2015 and is subject to booking and flight availability. The AU Major Prize cannot be taken during Australian school holidays, public holidays or other peak periods including but not limited to Gold Coast 600 and Hamilton Island race week.
Instant Win Prizes available to be won in New Zealand (by New Zealand residents) are as follows:
11,849 x Muffin Break muffins valued at NZ$4 Each prize consists of the winner’s choice of any Muffin Break muffin, subject to the availability of muffins on the day of redemption;
400 x 3 month New Zealand Woman’s Weekly magazine subscriptions valued at NZ$23.40;
120 x NZ$50 Pre-Paid Visa Cards; and
1 x family holiday for four (4) to Nadi, Fiji (“NZ Major Prize”). The NZ Major Prize is a trip for two (2) adults and two (2) children (11 years or under) to Nadi, Fiji valued at up to NZ$7,350.00 (as at 25th February 2014) depending on date and point of departure. Prize includes:
return economy airfares for two (2) adults and two (2) children, from either Auckland or Christchurch to Nadi, Fiji. It is the winner’s and their companions’ responsibility to make their own way to either Auckland or Christchurch at their own cost;
4 nights 4 star accommodation in a family share room at the Sonaisali Island Resort (or similar, subject to availability);
return airport to hotel transfers for two (2) adults and two (2) children; and
breakfast (on a set menu) for two (2) adults and two (2) children daily.
Spending money, additional meals, insurance, transport to and from departure point, additional transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included. The NZ Major Prize must be taken by 31st May 2015 and is subject to booking and flight availability. The NZ Major Prize cannot be taken during New Zealand school holidays, public holidays or other peak periods including 10th June 2014 until 10th July 2014 and from 10th December 2014 until 15th January 2015. The winner and companions of the NZ Major Prize must be in possession of a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity on it prior to departure.
Instant Win Prize Redemption
To redeem a Muffin Break instant win muffin prize, winners must present and surrender their winning scratch card at any participating Muffin Break store in Australia (Australian residents) or New Zealand (New Zealand residents) by 11:59pm on 14th May 2014.
To claim a Magazine subscription, a Pre-Paid Visa Card, the AU Major Prize or the NZ Major Prize, winners must visit, www.muffinbreakmemoments.com, select if they are from Australia or New Zealand, follow the prompts to the competition prize claim page, input the requested details including their full name, address, telephone number, email address, the unique code found on their winning scratch card and submit the fully completed prize claim by 11:59pm on 14th May 2014.
AU Major Prize and NZ Major Prize Conditions
All travel is subject to availability at all times and maybe dependent on select seat class with airlines or specific room category availability with accommodation partner. All bookings and documentation regarding the AU Major Prize and the NZ Major Prize must be made via Free-2-Travel Holidays Pty Ltd or their agents. Redeeming the AU Major Prize and the NZ Major Prize is conditional on acceptance of the terms and conditions of travel as detailed by Free-2-Travel Holidays Pty Ltd and the airline carriers in accordance with normal travel practices. No portion of the AU Major Prize and the NZ Major Prize is redeemable for cash. The AU Major Prize and the NZ Major Prize is not refundable or transferable. Winners of the AU Major Prize and the NZ Major Prize are responsible for any amendments fees issued by airlines or suppliers once booking is confirmed and ticketed. Visas, valid passports or any additional spending money, meals (other than those included) and any other ancillary costs, including but not limited to insurance and any applicable insurance excesses, not listed in the travel prize package descriptions above are the responsibility of the travel prize winner and his/her nominated traveling companions as incurred. It is the winner’s responsibility to organise transport to/from the airport departure/return point. The Promoter recommends that the AU Major Prize and the NZ Major Prize winners and travel companions obtain valid travel insurance for their period of travel.
During the entire duration of the AU Major Prize or the NZ Major Prize, a nominated parent/guardian must accompany any person under 18 years of age. The winners of an AU major Prize or NZ Major Prize must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the AU Major Prize or the NZ Major Prize. The winners of an AU Major Prize or NZ Major Prize may be required to present their credit card at time of accommodation check in.
