CONDITIONS OF ENTRY (“THE RULES”)

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entries not completed in
accordance with the Conditions of Entry or received after close of entry will not be considered.
Incomplete or inaudible entries will be disregarded. The judge’s decision in relation to any aspect of the
competition is final and binding on every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into.

2. Entry is open to people who are aged 18 years and over, who have a valid ticket to the filming of the
NRL Footy Show (Program) during the competition period, except for employees of the Promoter, and
their immediate families, and all companies and agencies associated with this competition.

3. At its sole discretion the Promoter may exclude any person(s) with a criminal record. At its sole
discretion the Promoter may exclude any person who has appeared on any broadcast Quiz or Game
Show within the 6 months prior to the record date.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

4. The Competition open and close times are as detailed in clause 5 and dates for each “Competition
Period” are detailed in Table 1.

5. The Competition commences at 18:00 AEDST Thursday 13 March 2014 and finishes at 21:00 AEST
Thursday 02 October 2014. Competition periods will take place at Channel 9 studios, 24 Artarmon Rd
Willoughby NSW 2068 at 21:15 AEST/AEDST on the dates stipulated in Table 1 during the entire
Competition Period. The winner’s name will be announced during the broadcast on the dates stipulated
in table 1 and/or in person at the Channel 9 Studio.

6. To enter the NRL Footy show – Kick for Cash competition, entrants must have a valid ticket to the
filming of the Program during the Competition Period. Upon entry to the Channel 9 studio all audience
members (entrants) who are 18 years and over and who have consented will be photographed. The
photographs from all consenting entrants will be placed into a computer generated random photo
selector. One (1) entrant’s photo will be randomly selected by the computer generated selector and the
audience member whose photo is selected will be invited to participate in the Kick for Cash competition.

7. In the event that the Promoter is, for whatever reason, unable to use the photo selector mechanism
referred to in clause 6 above, the Promoter will use an alternative mechanism for randomly selecting an
eligible audience member to participate in the competition. Such alternative mechanism may be a raffle
draw conducted during the filming of the Program.

The challenge involves the following:

The entrant will be asked to place kick the provided football through the goal post from a 35 meter
distance from the base of the goal posts for the opportunity to win $10,000. The entrant will be
given one (1) attempt at kicking a goal from this position of 35 meters.

The entrant has a choice of either participating in the challenge themselves or nominating a panel
member from the show to participate in the challenge on their behalf.

8. Panel members available to participate in the challenge during the specified competition period will be
determined by the promoter in its complete discretion.

9. The Promoter reserves the right to draw additional reserve entries (and record them in order), in the
event that an invalid entry is drawn or an entrant drawn is ineligible.

10. An entrant is limited to being drawn once during the course of the Competition.

The prize:

If the entrant successfully kicks the football through the goal posts the entrant will be deemed the major
prize winner and will receive $10,000 – awarded in the form of a cheque made in favour of the winner or
by way of electronic funds transfer to the winner’s nominated bank.

OR

If the entrant nominates a panel member to participate in the competition on their behalf and that panel
member successfully kicks the football through the goal posts the entrant will win $1000 – awarded in
the form of a cheque made in favour of the winner or by way of electronic funds transfer to the winner’s
nominated bank.

OR

If the entrant or panel member is not successful in kicking the football through the goal posts the entrant
or panel member will be deemed the runner up and the entrant will receive the runner’s up prize of a
sports pack valued at up to $200.

11. In each competition period one (1) entrant will have the opportunity to win a maximum of $10,000. The
maximum prize value per competition period is $10,000. If the entrant is unsuccessful the entrant will
receive a $200 consolation prize therefore the maximum total prize pool for the consolation prize is
$6,000. The total prize pool is $336,000 (depending on the whether selected entrants or panel members
successfully kick the goal. Exact amount of prize will be determined by the entrant or nominated panel
member successfully kicking the goal (or alternatively receiving the consolation prize). Copyright Nine Network Australia

12. The prize does not include any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize. These are the
responsibility of the winner.

13. In the event that a prize, or part of a prize, is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute
the prize of part of the prize in its discretion with an alternative prize or part of the prize to the same and
equal recommended retail value and/or specification subject to any written directions from the various
Lottery Departments.

14. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable. Any prizes won by an entrant will be sent to the address
as stipulated by the winner or transferred to a nominated bank account as provided by the winner.
Prizes will be supplied to winners within 28 days of broadcast of the episode of the Program.

15. All prizes must be taken as offered. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or
exchangeable and cannot be redeemed as cash. The prize is valued in Australian dollars. The Promoter
accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Prize winners are advised that tax
implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior
to acceptance of their prize. In the event that a potion of the prize is awarded to the winner in the form
of a voucher / ticket / pass, redemption of that portion of the prize will be subject to the terms and
conditions stipulated on the voucher / ticket / pass. The Promoter will not be liable for any voucher /
ticket / pass that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way.

16. It is a condition of entering the competition that entrants consent to the Promoter (or its agents or
licensees) taking a photograph of the entrant and using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or
voice (including any recording, photograph and film of the same) without remuneration during the
broadcast of the television program The Footy Show for unlimited runs by the Nine Network Australia
for the purpose of conducting the competition and/or broadcasting The Footy Show. The inclusion of
any material containing the winner’s name, likeness, image and/or voice (including but not limited to
creative control of the feature) will remain with the Promoter at all times and the Promoter is under no
obligation to use such material.

17. It is a condition of accepting a prize that the winner agrees to be interviewed, photographed and filmed
at any time during the acceptance of the prize by the Promoter or their agents for a story or feature on
this competition to be developed and featured on the Nine Network (or any other form of media it deems
suitable) without further remuneration or reference to the participant. Details may feature on Nine
Network on a date to be determined by the Promoters. The inclusion of any such feature (including but
not limited to creative control of the feature) will remain with the Promoter at all times.

18. Photographs will not be returned to any entrant. As a condition of entering into this competition, each
entrant agrees to assign all of their rights, title and interest in and to their photograph to the Promoter.

19. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees
and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury; or any loss or damage
(including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out
of the competition, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical
difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft,
unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered,
damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond
the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these conditions
of entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (f) participation in the competition (including
the kicking of the football) and/or (g) redemption of the prize.

20. If your entry is selected as a winning entry, validation of your circumstances/ the validity of your entry
will be undertaken by the Promoter. Method of validation (without limitation) will be determined by the
Promoter in its complete discretion. If the winning entry is deemed to be a winner, the winner will be
notified as per the terms and conditions herein. In the event that the Promoter requests the entrant to
sign any legal documents relating to the verification of their medical circumstance, the legal documents
will take the form determined by the Promoter. It is a condition of accepting the prize the winner sign
any such legal documentation.

21. The Promoter reserves the right to verify, at any time during or after the closing of the competition, the
validity of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, including
techniques designed to avoid payment of call costs or who submits an entry that is not in accordance
with these Conditions of Entry.

22. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the
computer generated photo selector or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or
utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the
course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect,
delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure,
theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.

23. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to)
technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the control of the
Promoter which corrupts or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of
this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who
tampers with the entry process, and, subject to any written directions given by the various Lottery
Departments, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.

24. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. Entrants’ personal information will be collected by the
Promoter for the purpose of conducting and promoting this Competition (including for the purpose of
identifying and notifying winners). Without limiting the foregoing, the Promoter may disclose entrants’
personal information to other parties assisting in the administration of the Competition including to the
Promoter’s related entities, prize suppliers, external service providers and authorities that regulate this
Competition. If the entrant consents, the Promoter, its related entities and business partners (as
applicable) may also use the entrant’s personal information for the purpose of sending direct marketing
messages with respect to programs, products and services available through any or all of them. Nine
will handle the entrants’ personal information in accordance with Nine’s Privacy Policy which is available
on its website. Entrants may request access to or correction of their personal information by writing to:
