Terms and Conditions
The Kia OMBC Competition (Competition) that you will be participating in during the promotional period runs from
Monday 01 April 2019 at 09:30 (AEDT) and concludes on Tuesday 30 April 2019 at 12:00pm (AEDT) (Competition Period)
and is run by Kia Motors Australia Pty Limited (ABN 97 110 483 353), locked bag 2207, North Ryde, BC NSW 1670 (KMAu).
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the Competition is deemed acceptance of
these terms and conditions.
2. WHO CAN ENTER
2.1 Subject to this clause 2, entry is open to the parents or legal guardians of Australian residents aged 10-14 years only
(Entrants).
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of KMAu and its affiliates, and their associated agencies and companies
are not eligible to enter.
2.3 Entries from underage applicants will not be considered
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 Entries must be received within the Competition Period:

3.2 To enter, each of the eligible Entrants must use the following methods to entry into the draw, during the
Competition Period :
a) Entrants head online to: https://www.kia.com/au/experience/sponsorship/fifa-world-cup.html; and
b) Register all their required details on the entry page (including full name, number, email address and
postcode) during the Competition Period; and
c) Tell us in 50 words or less why your child should be the Kia OMBC for Matilda’s match against Brazil.
3.3 Entry and participation in the Competition is free and only one entry per person will be permitted. Entrants found
to be submitting multiple entries may have all entries invalidated.
3.4 All entries must be received by the close of the Promotional Period. The time of entry will be the time the entry
registration is uploaded onto the Event page.

3.5 KMAu will not accept any entries that are late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt. Entries sent through
agencies and third parties will not be accepted. No responsibility will be accepted by KMAu for lost entries and
proof of submission of an entry will not be accepted as proof of receipt by KMAu. KMAu reserves the right at any
time to verify the eligibility of Entrants and to disqualify any Entrant who does not act in accordance with these
terms and conditions. KMAu also reserves the right at its absolute discretion to not consider an entry or to disqualify
an Entrant who does not comply with these terms and conditions.
4. PRIZES
4.1 There will be one (1) major Prize winner
Full Details RRP (inc. GST)
Trip to France for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 for one child and their
parent/legal guardian
Return economy airfares between the winner’s closest Australian state capital city and
Montpellier, France for the child and their parent/legal guardian
Return private car transfers between airport, stadium, city and accommodation in
Montpellier
Three (3) nights min 4 star hotel accommodation twin/double share (check in 12 June
2019 and check out 15 June 2019), all meals included
The Child will become the Official Match Ball Carrier for KMAu at the FIFA Women’s
World Cup France 2019 match on 13 June 2019
Condition
Entry is open to Australian residents who hold a valid passport with a minimum of 6
months validity past the proposed return date to Australia for each prize and who
are available to travel on the set travel dates outlined in the prize description.

4.2 Total prize value is up to AUD $6,577.13 (including GST). Prize value is correct as of 06 March, 2019. KMAu
accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate date on which the prize is taken
or received. The winner is not entitled to receive any money from any party if there is a difference between the
maximum prize value and the actual prize value at the time of the draw.
4.3 In accepting the prize the winner agrees that they and their child will participate in and co-operate with all
reasonable media editorial requests, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, and the
winner grants the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive license to use such footage and photographs in all media
worldwide and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
4.4 The prize packages have set travel dates and are subject to the following conditions:
The winner will be required to complete a prize acceptance form within 24hrs of being notified as the winner
to formally accept the prize.
The winner must provide a copy of both their and their child’s valid passport with a minimum 6 months
validity past the proposed return date to Australia within 24hrs of being notified as the winner.
If these details are not provided within the allocated time, KMAu reserves its right to award the prize to
another Entrant as judged by the KMAu marketing department.
The winner must finalise the prize booking within 48hrs of the original notification and all travel must be
completed on set dates outlined in the respective prize outlines.
4.5 The winner and their child must travel together on the same flights and stay in the same accommodation.

4.6 No compensation or alternative travel plans will be arranged should the winner and their child miss their
outbound or return flights or fail to meet any check in requirements for any reason. These costs will be the sole
responsibility and expense of the winner.
4.7 A credit card imprint may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel for all incidental charges.
4.8 Once booking is confirmed no changes are allowed, unless otherwise authorised by KMAu in its absolute
discretion and if permitted will incur a fee of $150 including GST plus supplier charges which is payable by the
winner.
4.9 Travel suppliers/airlines to be chosen at the discretion of KMAu.
4.10 Comprehensive travel insurance for both the winner and their child is compulsory and at the expense of the
winner for international travel.
4.11 In the event that an element of the prize is cancelled or postponed for any reason, the winner agrees to forfeit
the specified element and no cash alternative offer will be granted in lieu of the part of the prize.
4.12 The winner agrees that they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or
other organisation.
4.13 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and
the prize Sponsor’s requirements.
4.14 Return international flights included in the prizes outlined at Clause 10 depart from the closest airport to the
winner, which is located in one of the following cities: Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Darwin, Adelaide,
Hobart or Perth. The winner and their child must depart and return from the same city and must travel together
on the same flights.
4.15 KMAu and its associated agencies and companies or individuals associated with the provision of the prize, make
no representation as to the safety conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. International travel
advice can be obtained from the web site of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade,
www.dfat.gov.au.
4.16 The winner is responsible for organising transport to and from the airport of initial departure and final return.
4.17 Any costs associated with alterations made by the winner to confirmed flights and/or accommodation details will
be at the expense of the winner.
4.18 Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner
including but not limited to all meals, spending money, incidentals, mini-bar, laundry, tips, room service,
telephone calls, transfer fees (other than specified), excess baggage, government taxes, airport charges and all
other ancillary and personal costs. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at
check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges. Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are not transferrable or
exchangeable.
4.19 Once the prize is accepted, the winner will deal directly with KMAu and 33 Degrees Worldwide Pty Ltd (or its agents)
to book the prize and, where permissible, make any changes to the prize. All bookings and documentation regarding
the prize must be made via KMAu and 33 Degrees Worldwide Pty Ltd or its agents. Redeeming the prize is
conditional on acceptance of the terms and conditions of travel as detailed by 33 Degrees Worldwide Pty Ltd and
the airline carriers in accordance with normal travel practices.
4.20 The prize is not redeemable for cash and is not transferrable or exchangeable.
4.21 The winner should seek independent financial advice regarding the prize as tax implications may arise as a result of
accepting the prize.

5 SELECTION OF THE WINNER
5.1 All entries will be judged by the KMAu marketing department by 14:30 (AEDT) as detailed in clause 3.2 at Kia Motors
Head Office, 67 Epping Rd Macquarie Park NSW 2113. This promotion is a game of skill and chance plays no part in
determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged and such judgment may be based on literary and
creative merit of the entry. KMAu will not be responsible for any entries that were not properly submitted, lost,
misplaced or had not been found or searched by KMAu.
5.2 One winner will be selected by KMAu. The winner will be notified by the KMAu marketing department by email
and/or phone on Tuesday 30 April 2019. KMAu’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into
regarding the decision.

5.3 KMAu reserves the right at any time to verify the eligibility of the participant and to disqualify any participant who
does not act in accordance with these terms and conditions. KMAu also reserves the right at its absolute discretion
to not consider an entry or to disqualify a participant. KMAu will not allow or accept any entry which has any content
that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, offensive, obscene, derogatory, discriminatory, pornographic, sexually
inappropriate, insulting, scandalous, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, inflammatory, not suitable for
children under 15 years, unlawful, libellous, hateful, objectionable in relation to race, religion, ethnicity or gender,
capable of encouraging conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, capable of violating any law, infringing
any third party intellectual property rights, capable of giving rise to a civil liability or otherwise unsuitable or
inappropriate.
5.4 KMAu’s decision as to the winning entries is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.5 The child of the Entrant should have the capacity to fulfil the role of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 Kia Official
Match Ball Carrier. Children are required to be well behaved and attentive, able to walk out onto the pitch in front
of thousands of expectant fans at the match and able to cope with the potential pressures involved within a stadium
environment.
5.6 Events may occur that render the judging or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the
control of KMAu. Accordingly KMAu may, at its absolute discretion, vary or amend the Competition and the Entrant
agrees that no liability shall attach to KMAu as a result thereof. All prizes are subject to availability, non-transferable
and there are no cash alternatives.
5.7 By participating you agree that the entry details remain the property of KMAu and will not be returned to the
Entrant. The winner agrees to grant KMAu a perpetual and non-exclusive license to use their entries in all media
worldwide and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use
5.8 KMAu will use the Entrant’s personal information for the purpose of administering and promoting the Competition
and prize. KMAu may also, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised by the Entrant, use the Entrant’s
personal information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending
electronic messages or telephoning the Entrant.
6 NOTIFICATION OF WINNER
6.1 The winner will be notified by KMau at 17:00 (AEDT) by way of email or by phone on the Tuesday 30 April 2019.
6.2 The winner’s details will be published at https://www.kia.com/au/experience/sponsorship/fifa-world-
cup.html by 17:00 (AEDT) on Wednesday 01 May 2019.
6.3 The redetermination of the winner will occur by no later than 14:00 AEDT on Wednesday 01 May 2019.
6.4 If a prize is unclaimed by the winner by 14:00 (AEDT), 21 hours from being notified, or if the winner is otherwise
ineligible to be awarded the prize because they are unable to satisfy these terms and conditions, that winner will
forfeit the prize and KMAu may award the prize to another participant who the KMAu marketing department
selects.
6.5 KMAu may in its absolute discretion deem entries invalid subsequently to a winner being notified or a winner’s
name being announced if it is discovered that the winner did not enter the Competition in accordance with these
terms and conditions. In these circumstances, an additional draw will be conducted.
6.6 Subject to state government legislation an unclaimed prize draw will take place at KMAu Head Office, 67 Epping Rd
Macquarie Park NSW 2113 Wednesday 01 May 2019.
6.7 The unclaimed prize draw winner will also be notified by a direct private message via email or phone call on the day
of the draw within 16 hours of the unclaimed prize draw.
7. NO LIABILITY
7.1 KMAu and its associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or
late, lost or misdirected mail.
7.2 KMAu and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, representation or
warranty in respect of the quality, merchantability, acceptability, fitness for purpose, condition, description,
assembly, image, manufacture, design or claim that may occur:
7.2.1 During the draw;

7.2.2 whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the Competition; or
7.2.3 in the participation in any prize;
7.2.4 as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
7.2.5 due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Competition or the publication of any material,
including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other
person.
7.2.6 in relation to any damage or loss to Entrant’s or any other person’s computer software, computer
equipment or internet connection resulting from or related to participation in this Competition;
7.2.7 any variation in Prize value to that stated in these terms and conditions;
7.2.8 any technical difficulties, technical error or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the
Competition’s control); or
7.2.9 any error, omission, interruption, deletion, delay, defect, theft, unauthorised access or third party
interference.
7.3 Entries via internet or computer generation will be deemed invalid and will not be accepted by the Promoter.
7.4 KMAu and its associated agencies and companies assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption,
deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or
unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
7.5 If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to
tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the
Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this
Competition, KMAu reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry
process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition subject
to state government regulations.
7.6 The thoughts and views expressed on each platform are only the thoughts and views of the individual that posted
them. They are not representative of the opinions of KMAu, nor does KMAu confirm, guarantee or warrant the
accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any post. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or
administered by or associated with any social media platform. It is a condition of entry that each Entrant grants a
complete release to platforms from any claims that they now have or may have in the future which relate to or are
incidental to this Competition.
8. PROMOTER’S DETAILS
8.1 The Promoter is Kia Motors Australia Pty Limited, (ABN 97 110 483 353), locked bag 2207, North Ryde, BC NSW
1670.
8.2 Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. KMAu and its related entities, is collecting the Entrant’s personal
information for the purpose of conducting and promoting this Competition (including for the purpose of identifying
and notifying winner). KMAu will handle the Entrant’s personal information in accordance with KMAu’s Privacy
Policy which is available on its website at https://www.kia.com/au/util/privacy.html (and which contains
information regarding how you can access your personal information, correct it and/ or make a complaint about
our handling of your personal information). By providing your personal information below, you agree to the terms
of the Privacy Policy. Without limiting the foregoing, KMAu may disclose the Entrant’s personal information to its
related entities, business partners and external service providers for research and profiling purposes as well as
other purposes reasonably related to the entrant’s relationship with KMAu. In addition, by entering this
Competition, you consent to KMAu using your personal information for the purpose of KMAu and its related entities
sending you information regarding products and services available through them and/ or through their business
partners, and to KMAu from time to time sharing your personal information with carefully selected business
partners for the purpose of them sending you such information directly. We will always provide you with the ability
to opt out of those communications.
