Win an Italian Masterpieces escape terms and conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these Terms and Conditions of entry. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. The promotion commences on Monday 21 July 2014 and ends at 4.00pm (AEST) on Monday 28 July 2014 (“Promotional Period”).
3. Only one entry is permitted per person.
4. Entry is only open to Victorian residents aged 18 years and older. Directors, management and employees of the Promoter (and their immediate families) or of the agencies or companies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
5. There are four prizes to be won, each consisting of::
a. Return travel with V/Line for four adults from anywhere in Victoria to Melbourne, off peak, economy. Valued at up to $440;
b. Four tickets to see the Italian Masterpieces exhibition at NGV International valid until Sunday 31 August. Valued at up to $104;
c. A copy of the exhibition catalogue Museo Del Prado’s Italian Masterpieces from Spain’s Royal Court, valued at $39.95.
Each of the four prizes is worth up to $$583.95. The total prize value of the four prizes is up to $2335.80 (inc GST).
6. Prizes will be randomly drawn on Tuesday 29 July 2014 at 10am (AEST), at Level 9 750 Collins St, Docklands VIC 3008. The first four valid entries will each win a prize. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are not exchangeable or refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
7. To enter the competition, consumers must, during the Promotional Period, visit V/Line’s website www.vline.com.au and fully complete and submit the online entry form. Incomplete or automated entries will be disqualified. Multiple entries from the same IP address, same email address or from automated competition entry services are invalid.
8. Winners will be notified by telephone and in writing and prizes will be sent by express post. Winners’ names will be published on www.vline.com.au on Wednesday 30 July 2014. By entering this competition, entrants request that their full address not be published.
9. If the winner of any prize is under the age of 18 years at the closing date of the promotion, the relevant prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or guardian (at the Promoter’s discretion).
10. If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these Terms and Conditions of entry, the entry will be discarded and a new winner of that prize will be determined by drawing a further valid entry in accordance with paragraph 6. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the competition or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
12. Prizes must be claimed by Friday 1 August 2014.
13. V/Line’s privacy policy and privacy notice may be viewed at www.vline.com.au/privacy. Personal data collected from entrants by the Promoter as part of this competition will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this competition. The Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this competition or communicating with entrants or if disclosure is required or permitted by law. Personal information from entrants will not be used for any other purpose unless permission is provided by the entrant. Where permission is provided by the entrant, the entrant’s personal information will be stored in accordance with V/Line’s privacy policy. Entrants can request access to the personal information the Promoter holds about them by contacting the Promoter.
14. V/Line travel tickets are valid for use until 31 August 2014 and cannot be used on peak services (as determined by the Promoter). All other costs associated with prizes, including but not limited to any costs associated in getting to and from the relevant Victorian train station or V/Line coach stop to start and complete their travel journey (to redeem the V/Line tickets) and other ancillary costs are the responsibility of each winner, as incurred.
15. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered by any entrant or winner (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss or loss of profits), or for any expense, death or personal injury suffered or sustained, (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or as a result of taking or using any prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
16. In the event for any reason a winner does not take an element of a prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. Where a prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute for that prize another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter.
17. If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries.
18. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage in transit to prizes nor be liable for failure of Australia Post to deliver the prize to the winner’s nominated address.
19. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise. The Promoter has no control over telephone communications, the Internet, networks or lines and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, whether due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred.
20. The prize winners must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in promotional material.
21. The Promoter may require winners to provide proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.
