2017 The Greatest Weekend of Sport

By submitting an entry, all entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

Entrants must be residents of Australia or New Zealand and be at least 18 years of age.
A person will be entered into the Greatest Weekend of Sport competition by visiting the competition page on the website http://www.queensland.com over the period Tuesday, 8 August 2017 9:00am AEST to Tuesday, 19 September 2017 3:00pm AEST and completing the entry submission form with valid details.

The major prize (1) is for The Greatest Weekend of Sport for four persons comprised of the following:
1. Return flights from the winner’s nearest capital city in Australia or nearest major airport in New Zealand (Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin) to Brisbane
2. Three (3) nights’ accommodation including breakfast daily at a hotel in Brisbane
3. Friday 24 November, 2017 – four (4) tickets to Rugby League World Cup 2017 Semi Final 4. Saturday 25 November, 2017 – four (4) tickets to Day three First Ashes Test: Brisbane
Maximum major prize value: AUD$9,324
The draw for the major prize is limited to one entry per person.
The minor prize (2) is comprised of one of the following:
1. Friday 24 November, 2017 – two (2) tickets to Rugby League World Cup 2017 Semi Final Maximum minor prize value: AUD$170
2. Friday 24 November, 2017 – two (2) tickets to Day two First Ashes Test: Brisbane Maximum minor prize value: AUD$198
Each entrant is permitted multiple entries into the minor prize, subject to the following:
(a) limit one (1) entry permitted per person per day for sharing their entry via Twitter
(b) limit one (1) entry permitted per person per day for sharing their entry via Facebook
(c) limit one (1) bonus entry permitted per person per day for sharing via Forward to Friend (email)
An entrant is only eligible to win either the major or a minor prize.
The major and minor prize winner(s) will be selected by a random draw conducted by XCOM Media on Monday 25 September 2017 10:00am AEST. Each winner will be notified by email after the draw. If a winner does not respond within two weeks following the draw a replacement winner may be drawn at the Promoter’s discretion.
The prize is not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash. The prize is valid for travel between Thursday 23 November and Sunday 26 November, 2017.
Employees and Directors of the Promoter or agencies associated with the promotion, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter the competition.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of prizes or any variation in the prizes advertised and the prizes provided. All expenses outside of the stated prize are at the cost and responsibility of the winner. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure the winner and their travel companion(s) have a valid passport. Travel insurance is not provided and the Promoter recommends the prize winner and travel companion obtain comprehensive travel insurance including medical coverage prior to travel.
Each entrant releases and indemnifies the Promoter and agencies associated with the competition against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize or participation in the competition

including (but not limited to) personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, or otherwise.

By entering the competition, entrants accept that the Promoter and all agencies associated with the promotion may use their name and likeness for their promotional and publicity purposes without the payment of any fee. By entering the competition, entrants accept that the Promoter will be capturing personal information including email address.
10. Entrants will be subscribed to the database of Tourism and Events Queensland for online marketing and promotional communications. Entrants consent to their name and email address being used for this purpose.
11. Any use of robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods or agents will void all entries by that entrant. In the event of a dispute over who submitted an entry, the authorised subscriber of the email account used to participate in the competition at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant.

12. The Promoter’s decision concerning any aspect of this competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter may amend these terms and conditions at any time.
