CONDITIONS OF ENTRY – “STUDENT FLIGHTS IN THE MIX COMPETITION”

The Promoter

1. “The Promoter” is Flight Centre Travel Group trading as Student Flights ABN 25 003 377 188 ACN 003 377 188. Travel Agent Licence Numbers ACT 18800224 NSW 2TA002719 NT 008 QLD TAG262 SA TTA254 TAS TAS031 VIC 31089 WA 9TA 00589. Head Office, Level 2, 545 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000.

Conditions of Entry

2. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry by each entrant.

3. Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or older, who enter the promotion in the required manner.

4. Employees of Flight Centre Travel Group and Sound Alliance and their immediate families are not permitted to enter.

Duration of Promotional Period

5. The competition commences at 1000 AEST on Wednesday 16th July 2014.

6. The competition closes at 1500 AEST on Wednesday 30th July 2014.

How to Enter

7. Eligible entrants can enter the promotion in any of the following ways:

a. Persons who do not currently ‘like’ Student Flights Australia must go to https://www.facebook.com/studentflightsAU and select ‘like’ this page, complete the online entry form for this promotion and tick the box to authorize email subscription to The Promoter. Entry is via The Promoter’s In The Mix competition Facebook application.

b. Persons who currently ‘like’ Student Flights Australia must go to https://www.facebook.com/studentflightsAU complete the online entry form for this promotion and tick the box to authorize email subscription to The Promoter. Entry is via The Promoter’s In The Mix competition Facebook application.

This will result in a maximum of one (1) “primary entry”.

8. In order to subscribe to The Promoter’s email newsletter and complete an entry form eligible entrants will be required to provide their full name, current and valid email address, mobile number, postcode, state and date of birth. Eligible entrants must remain subscribed for the duration of the promotional period.

9. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. Entries received will be considered final by The Promoter. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, illegible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. Entries must be received by The Promoter during the promotional period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.

10. Any costs associated with accessing the Promotional Websites remain the responsibility of each entrant and are dependent on the Internet Service Provider used.

11. Eligible entrants who have made a “primary entry” into the promotion via the method described in Condition 6(a) or 6(b) can also receive additional entries into the draw in the following ways:

a. A maximum of one (1) additional entry will be awarded for eligible entrants who share the competition via the Facebook share function located on the competition entry confirmation page.

b. A maximum of one (1) additional entry will be awarded for eligible entrants who share the competition via the Twitter share function located on the competition entry confirmation page.

c. A maximum of one (1) additional entry will be awarded for eligible entrants who share the competition via the Google+ share function located on the competition entry confirmation page.

This will result in a maximum of four (4) possible entries. When sharing the competition consent must be obtained from any referred person prior to submitting their email address into the Facebook and/or Twitter and Google+ share functions. Referrals will not be eligible as an additional entry into the draw if the referrer email address is not in a valid email address format and/or an existing email address, and/or where spam software has been utilised to generate referral email address entries and/or where referred email addresses have been submitted multiple times from a unique referrer email address.

Draw Details

12. The competition will be drawn at random from all eligible entries received using an approved electronic drawing method.

13. There will be one (1) separate prize draw(s) which generate(s) one (1) prize winner(s).

14. The prize draw(s) will take place at 1000 AEST on Thursday 31st July 2014 at Flight Centre Head Office, Level 2, 545 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000.

15. The prize winner(s) will be notified by phone and email the same day and the result(s) will be published on https://www.facebook.com/studentflightsAU.

16. The prize winner(s) have until Friday 1st August 2014 to claim the prize(s). Should an unclaimed prize draw be necessary, the draw(s) will be held at 1500 AEST on Friday 1st August 2014 at Flight Centre Head Office, Level 545 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000.

17. The prize winner of any unclaimed prize draw will be notified by phone and email the same day after the unclaimed prize draw and the result will be published on https://www.facebook.com/studentflightsAU.

Prize Details

18. There will be one (1) Major Prize consisting of all the following components:

a. Two (2) x admission to attend the In The Mix 2014 Awards in Sydney on Wednesday 6th August 2014 (this is a money can’t buy event)

· Where the winner is unable to attend the event, no substitute will be offered.

· Admission is non transferrable.

· Where all or part of the event is cancelled, rescheduled or varied for any reason, the promoter is not obliged to provide the winner or any persons with an alternative event, even if the prize winner has already taken part of the prize, including but without limitation to flights and/or accommodation.

· The winner and their guest acknowledge that third parties may be filming at the event, and by entering this competition, agree that in the event they are a winner, such third parties may record, reproduce, publish, adapt, communicate or otherwise use the winner’s and/or their guest’s performances, name, voice, and likeness for the purposes of creating or producing any television program or other audio and/or audio-visual material and for advertising and publicity purposes in any media in perpetuity without needing to provide additional compensation.

· If alcohol is made available as part of the event, then this will be provided subject to the principles of responsible service of alcohol as exercised by the staff and management of the venue. The venue staff reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol at any time if any prize winner or allowed guests are deemed to be intoxicated or under the influence of any illicit substances. The venue may impose its own conditions of entry and may refuse entry at their own discretion for any reason, not limited to alcohol consumption or intoxication. The promoter is not responsible for any refusal made by the venue.

b. Two (2) x return economy flights to Sydney

· Return economy class airfares for two (2) adults to Sydney from the nearest Australian capital city airport closest to the ordinary residential address of the winner.

· Departure date Wednesday 6th August 2014.

· Return date Thursday 7th August 2014.

· Travel must be booked prior to the departure date by a Student Flights consultant. The airline, departure and return dates will be booked and determined at the discretion of Student Flights.

· Prize is not refundable, transferrable nor redeemable for cash, credit or foreign exchange.

· Airline or status credits do not apply to these tickets.

c. One (1) x night accommodation in Sydney, twin share

· Hotel accommodation based on twin share, in Sydney, for the night of Wednesday 6th August 2014.

· Travel must be booked prior to the departure date by a Student Flights consultant. The hotel, departure and return dates will be booked and determined at the discretion of Student Flights.

· Prize is not refundable, transferrable nor redeemable for cash, credit or foreign exchange.

19. The total value of the prize(s) is ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­$1000.00.

20. The following are not included as part of the prize: all other out of pocket expenses including travel insurance, additional meals, beverages, spending money, transfers. These are the responsibility of the Prize Winner and their travel companion.

21. Winners must take the prizes as offered. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, cannot be sold or exchanged for cash and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

22. The prizes and booking of the prizes are subject to the standard booking terms and conditions of The Promoter.

23. Any passes and tickets issued as part of the prizes are subject to prevailing terms and conditions of use and any tickets or passes are only valid for use within the stated duration on the passes or tickets issued or the duration of the chosen prize, whichever is earlier.

24. The Prize Winner consents to the use of their name, suburb of residence and image for promotional and marketing purposes.

25. To the extent permitted by law, The Promoter is not responsible or liable for:

a) inaccurate/incorrect transcription of entry information;

b) purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, sent with insufficient postage (where entry is by post), or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;

c) any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;

d) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website;

e) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the competition;

f) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition;

g) any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by The Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying a winner; or

h) any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant’s or any other person’s computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.

26. The Promoter will not be liable for personal injury suffered during prize winnings. The Major Prize Winner, and his or her guests, must sign and return any liability release and indemnity provided by The Promoter and/or its contractors as a condition of a prize being awarded. Failure to return the signed releases and indemnities will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another Prize Winner.

27. This condition does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of The Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again.

28. When competition entrants subscribe to The Promoter’s email newsletter they are agreeing to receive email marketing. In the event that entrants decide to opt out of receiving information on promotions, services and market research provided by The Promoter they can email customer.feedback@flightcentre.com or contact the Global Head Office on 07 3170 7979.

29. The personal information of entrants will be collected to enable The Promoter to administer and promote this competition. The Prize Winner and their guest may be used to market The Promoter’s services to the entrant. The personal information of the entrants will be held and used in accordance with The Promoter’s privacy policy which is available at http://www.studentflights.com.au. The personal information of winners may be provided to others assisting, including prize suppliers and deliverers, and to authorities that regulate this competition. If an entrant does not truthfully provide all requested personal information, The Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win the prize.
