SBS ‘World Cup Shoot Out’ Competition Terms & Conditions METHOD OF ENTRY
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older, who hold a current full Australian driver’s licence. Employees of SBS, KIA Motors Australia Pty Limited, Mnet Mobile Pty Ltd, their associated companies and their immediate families are ineligible.
3. The competition period starts on Thursday 12 June 2014 at 10am AEST and ends on Monday 14 July 2014 at 9am AEST (the “Competition Period”).
4. To enter, participants must:
a) Download the ‘SBS World Cup Shoot Out’ app on their smartphone;
b) Register to participate providing all mandatory requirements including but not limited to full name,
mobile phone number, email address and player name (6-12 letters or numbers);
c) Watch the ‘SBS World Cup Shootout’ advertisement aired online
(http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/shootout), on television, and other outlets. When the advertisement
is aired, the entrant must save the goal with their smart phone to generate a score/rating.
d) If the entrant saves the goal, and the game skill level is set on:
 ‘easy’, the entrant will receive one (1) entry into the draw;
 ‘medium’, the entrant will receive two (2) entries into the draw.
 ‘hard’, the entrant will receive three (3) entries into the draw.
If the entrant does not save the goal, they will receive 0 entries into the draw on that occasion.
5. Multiple entries accepted during the Competition Period. ‘Scripting’ to gain multiple entries is not permitted.
6. Entrants may incur download charges applicable to the contract they hold with their carrier.
7. SBS reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of Australian residency status at the nominated prize delivery address, full Australian drivers licence and/or proof of entry validity, in order to claim a prize. Acceptance of proof of identification, Australian residency status and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of SBS. In the event that a winner cannot provide proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
8. Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
9. SBS & KIA Australia shall not be responsible for any damage or injury arising from a user operating the “World Cup Shoot Out” app. By downloading this app you understand and agree that you will be solely responsible for any risk of injury or damage to your phone, other property or persons. You must read and comply with the instructions on how to play and the safety warning tips prior to using the app.
10. PRIZE:
The Prize winner will receive a KIA pro_cee’d GT car featuring:
– 6-speed manual transmission
– 3-door hatchback
– 1.5L engine
– All on-road costs relevant to winner’s state (e.g. registration, stamp duty, CTP insurance, dealer delivery)
The Prize is valued up to AUD$34,380 (RRP) inclusive of GST.
12. The total prize pool is valued at up to AUD$34,380 (RRP) inclusive of GST. Prize value is correct as at the date of printing and the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any change in prize value between now and the ultimate date on which the prize is taken.

13. The Prize comes with Compulsory Third Party Insurance only and the Prize winner will be responsible for obtaining any additional insurance at their own cost.
14. Additional options/accessories and all ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner. Unless expressly stated, all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner.
15. The prize will be available for collection by the winner at the winner’s nearest authorised KIA Motors Australia Pty Limited dealer within 28 days of the determination of the prize Winners.
16. In participating in the Competition, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed, photographed and social media activity. The Winner and any companion grant the Promoter a licence to use any footage and photographs and the Winner and any companion will receive no fee if material is used.
PRIZE DRAW
17. All valid entries received during the Competition Period are automatically entered into the Prize draw. The Major Prize winner will be drawn at random by SBS (or its nominated agent) on Tuesday 15 July 2014 at 10am (AEST) at SBS Corporation, 14 Herbert Street, Artarmon, NSW 2064. The Prize winner will be notified by email and phone by Tuesday 15 July 2014 at 12pm and later by writing. The name of the winner will be published on the SBS website Tuesday 15 July 2014 and in The Australian newspaper Friday 18 July 2014.
UNCLAIMED PRIZE DRAW
18. If the Major Prize winner cannot be contacted or verified by Thursday 16 October 2014 at 12pm (AEST), SBS or its nominated agent will draw another winner from all remaining valid entries (“Unclaimed Major Prize Draw”) Thursday 16 October 2014 at 12.30pm (AEST). The Unclaimed Major Prize Draw winner will be notified by email and phone on Thursday 16 October 2014 at 2pm (AEST) and published in The Australian newspaper on Tuesday 21 October 2014.
FINAL CONDITIONS
12. There may be circumstances in which the Promoter cannot provide the prizes as described for reasons beyond its reasonable control. In those circumstances, the Promoter will provide an alternative prize or prizes of equal or greater value to the promoted prizes, subject to relevant state regulations.
13. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
14. SBS accepts no responsibility for any loss, damages, or injury incurred to enter the competition or in connection
with taking up the prizes.
15. Once prizes have left the prize supplier’s premises, the Promoter and Prize Supplier take no responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.
16. SBS’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. SBS takes no liability for any tax issues which may arise from accepting a prize in this competition. Consult an independent tax adviser if this is a concern.
18. Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). SBS accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
19. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements.
20. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, SBS (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal or permanent injury or loss of life; or any loss or

damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
21. SBS and the prize supplier/s assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alterations of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including, but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of SBS which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, SBS reserves the right in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to state regulations.
22. All entries become and remain the property of SBS. Entrants acknowledge that SBS may use the entrants’ names and addresses for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
23. All details of the entrants will be used and preserved in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and SBS Privacy Policy. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the SBS Privacy Contact Officer. Unless otherwise notified, SBS may use the entries and details of entrants for promotional and publicity purposes. Entrants consent to their full names and/or their entries being used in all media by SBS. Any 3rd parties engaged by SBS to run elements of this competition may use entries and details of entrants for the purpose of conducting this competition or for purpose incidental thereto.
24. Entrants acknowledge this competition is in no way associated with or endorsed by Facebook. Any information disclosed by entrants entering this competition is not provided to Facebook.
