Terms and Conditions of Entry

1. Promoter

The Promoter is Roadshow Films Pty Ltd (ACN 100 746 870) trading as Roadshow Entertainment (“Roadshow”), First Floor, The Jam Factory, 500 Chapel St, South Yarra, VIC, 3141 Australia (“the Promoter”).

Who may enter

The only persons who may enter and be awarded prize are:

Residents of Australia aged 18 years and older;
Persons who are not employees or immediate family members of the Promoter or its retailers, suppliers, advertising agencies and associated companies. “Immediate family” means spouse, parent, child or sibling, whether or not they live in the same household as the employee.

How to Enter

To enter, individuals must go to www.roadshowent.com.au/catchingfire and follow the prompts on the competition entry page and input the requested details including their full name, address, date of birth, current email address and then submit the fully completed form as instructed.

Competition Period

The competition commences at 9:00 a.m. (AEST) on 24/03/2014 and closes at 11.59 p.m. (AEST) on 07/04/2014.

Selection of winner

The prize draw will take place at 11:00amon 09/04/2014 at Oxygen Interactive Marketing, Level 1, 16 Palmer Parade, Cremorne VIC 3121. The winner(s) will be notified in writing within two days of the prize draw. Any winner(s) of a prize valued over $250 will have their name and postcode published in The Australian on 11/04/2014.

Any cost associated with accessing the competition website is the responsibility of the entrant and is dependent upon the entrants chosen internet service provider.

The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on each entrant. No correspondence will be entered into.

A draw for any unclaimed prizes may take place on 09/07/2014 at the same time and place as the original draws, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The winner(s) will be notified in writing within two days of the prize draw. Any second chance winner(s) of a prize value over $250 will have their names and postcode published in The Australian on 11/07/2014.

Notification of winner

Winner will be notified by phone and e-mail by 11/04/2014.

In the event that the prize winner is un-contactable or if the prize is not claimed by 09/07/2014 the judges may select an alternate prize winner to receive the prize.

Prize Information

There are a total of (101) prizes to be won in this promotion. There will be (1) major prize winner and (100) minor prize winners.

The major prize winner will receive:

Two (2) adult return economy flights from winner’s nearest mainland capital city within Australia to Honolulu, Hawaii valued at up to $6,000 AUD (including taxes)*,;
Five (5) nights’ accommodation with breakfast valued at up to $2,400 AUD;
Return airport-hotel transfers valued at up to $180 AUD;
Helicopter sightseeing tour for two valued at up to $700 AUD;
Travel insurance for two valued at up to $300
Total prize valued at up to $9,580* (*value of flights will depend on winner’s nearest mainland capital city) AUD.

The (100) minor prize winners will receive:

The Hunger Games DVD + UV valued at $14.95
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire DVD + UV valued at $39.95
Total prize valued at up to $54.90

The total prize pool value for this Promotion is $15,070

Prize is valid for up to 12-months’ from competition close date and is subject to booking and availability. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever, a winner does not take an element of the prize by 09/04/2015 then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element.

Dates of travel are subject to availability excluding national holidays.

There is no cash alternative and the prize is non-transferable and non-refundable.

Hotel is based on 2 people sharing one room. Room, tax and breakfast.

The hotel will require a credit card imprint to cover any incidentals incurred.

At least one person travelling must be over 21.

All those travelling must have valid passports and applicable visas and are responsible for online registration of the US Immigration ESTA. https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/

Winner must provide at least 6 weeks’ notice of intention to travel to avoid disappointment.

Additional spending money, meals, travel insurance, passports, visas, travel from winner’s home to nearest capital city airport and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner.

Unless expressly stated, all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner.

Entries

All entries become the property of the Promoter. Entries not completed in accordance with the conditions of entry or received after the closing date will not be considered. Indecipherable or incomplete entries will be disregarded. No responsibility is taken for late or misdirected email.

Entrants warrant that their entry does not breach the intellectual property rights of any third party and the entrant indemnifies and keeps indemnified the Promoter and its associated agencies against any loss, costs, expenses or liability that the Promoter and its associated agencies may suffer arising out of a breach by the entrant of any third party intellectual property right.

The Promoter reserves the right to request prize winners to provide proof of identity (including proof of age) and/or proof of residence for the verification of any prize winner. Where a prize winner cannot provide adequate proof of identity, determined in the Promoter’s absolute discretion, that prize winner may forfeit the prize.

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. This includes, but not limited, to entrants and households using multiple email addresses, postal addresses to registering multiple entries. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause.

In consideration for the Promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner hereby assigns to the Promoter all right, title and interest in and to all copyright in any material created pursuant to the winner’s participation in any aspect of the prize (Works). The winner acknowledges that the Promoter is free to use the Works and to exercise its rights in relation thereto and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
