Terms and Conditions of Oz Comic-Con Wonder Woman Poster Giveaway Promotion
1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation
in the Oz Comic-Con Wonder Woman Poster Giveaway Promotion (“Competition”) is deemed to be
of acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Entries not completed in accordance with these Terms
and Conditions are ineligible.
Promoter
2. The Promoter is Reed Exhibitions Australia Pty Ltd Limited (ABN 47 000 146 921) of Tower 2, Level
1, 475 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood NSW 2067. Telephone; 02 9422 2500
Competition Period
3. The period of this Competition begins at 12:00pm (AEST) on Thursday 14th September 2017 and
ends at 11:59:59pm (AEST) on Thursday 21st September 2017. (“Competition Period”).
Eligibility to Enter
4. Entry is only open to Australian residents.
5. Employees (and their Immediate Family Members) of the Promoter , or any related body
corporate of the Promoter, as well as any agency associated with this Competition are ineligible to
enter. Immediate Family Members means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto, ex-de-
facto, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-
grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
How to Enter
6. This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in how a winner is determined in this competition. All
entries will be reviewed and judged by the Promoter based on selected criteria such as creative
merit, originality, humour and brand suitability.
7. To enter the Competition, an eligible entrant must visit the Oz Comic-Con Wonder Woman Poster
Giveaway Promotion web page and answer the question “In 25 words or less why is Wonder Woman
your favourite superhero”, and include your details; including First Name, Last Name, Email Address,
and Phone Number.
8. The entry judged to be the best from all entries received will win the major prize. The next 10 best
valid entries will each win a minor prize
9. 1 Major Prize and 10 Minor Prizes are to be won. The major prize includes a signed Wonder
Woman Theatrical Poster valued at $1,000, one weekend double pass to Oz Comic-Con Brisbane or
Sydney valued at $57.50 and one Wonder Woman Blu Ray valued at $44.95. Total Major Prize is
valued at $1102.45. The ten Minor Prizes each includes one weekend double pass to Oz Comic-Con
Brisbane or Sydney valued at $57.50 and one Wonder Woman Blu Ray valued at $44.95. Total Minor
Prizes are valued at $1,024.50
Prize Draw
10. Entries open and close for each draw on the dates and times specified in Competition Period.
The prize draws will be conducted by The Promoter at 12noon AEST Friday 22nd September.
11. The winner of each Prize Draw will be notified by telephone and email on the same day of the
draw.
Unclaimed Prize Draw/s
12. If a prize is still unclaimed after a week of the original prize draw, the Promoter will conduct a
further draw for the prize. The unclaimed prize draws will be conducted at the same time and place
as the original draws. The date for these additional draw would be on Wednesday 27 September.
Each winner of an unclaimed prize draw will be notified by telephone and email within one day of
the draw.
General
13. Roadshow Films’ Privacy Policy: Roadshow Films Pty Ltd (Prize Supplier) is one on the Sponsors
of the promotion. A copy of the Prize Supplier’s Privacy Policy which contains information, amongst
other things, about how you may access personal information that is held by the Prize Supplier
about you and seek correction of such information may be accessed at
https://roadshow.com.au/privacy-policy. Entrants can contact our Privacy Officer if they would like
details of the personal information the Prize Supplier holds about entrants at: Level 1, 500 Chapel
Street, South Yarra, Victoria 3141 or via email: privacy@roadshow.com.au. The information entrants
provide may also be disclosed by the Prize Supplier to members of its corporate group (being Village
Roadshow Limited and its subsidiary companies), to partners who are disclosed by the Prize Supplier
as part of the Promotion and third party service providers outside Australia. The Prize Supplier and
any entity to whom entrants personal information will be disclosed will only use and disclose an
entrant’s personal information in accordance with their respective privacy policies and, if applicable,
collection statements. The Prize Supplier and/or the entities to whom personal information is
disclosed may use this information for future promotional and marketing purposes regarding their
products and services in accordance with their respective privacy policies and, if applicable,
collection statements, including contacting entrants via any contact details provided by the entrant
without further reference or compensation to the entrant, for an indefinite period or until the
entrant opts out from any such entity. The email platform of some entities may be housed outside
Australia.
14. Incomplete entries will be deemed invalid and removed from the draw. The promoter’s decision
is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
15. The total value of the prize pool is AU$2,126.95.
16. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken in any other form (including
not being able to be taken as cash).
17. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause 12, if for any reason a winner does not take
possession of their prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited.
18. If for any reason the conduct or operation of the Promotion is interfered with or disrupted in any
way (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes,
computer bugs or viruses, tampering or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right to cancel,
terminate, modify or suspend or recommence the Promotion, subject to the approval of the
authorities that have issued permits for its conduct.
19. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for: (i) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the
operation or transmission of any communication including any communication sent to (or by) the
Promoter or any entrant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines,
computer systems, software or internet service providers, or otherwise, (ii) any theft, destruction or
unauthorised access to, or alteration of such communications; (iii) any problem with, or technical
malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Promotion;
(iv) any incorrect or incomplete information which may be communicated in the course of the
administering this Promotion (whether as a result of one of the foregoing causes or otherwise).
20. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limit, exclude or modify or purports to limit, exclude or
modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as
well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the
State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot
by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective
officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury;
or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or
consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion.
21. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate
information or for any loss, claim, damage or injury to person or property (including computer
systems and servers) as a result of the entrant’s participation in this promotion or the conduct of the
promotion generally or as a direct or indirect result of an entrant’s error, any technical problem of
any kind including communications or network failure, unauthorised access to, transferring or theft
of data, whether caused by the entrant or associated with the equipment or programming used in
the conduct of this promotion. If, because of any such problem, this promotion is not able to be
conducted as planned and/or the promotion’s administration, security, fairness or integrity are
compromised or affected, the Promoter may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant
Department) cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and/or disqualify any entrant
involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion in any way.
22. Details from all entries will be collected and used for the purposes of conducting this promotion
(which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the
promotion) and for publicity purposes surrounding this promotion. By entering this promotion
entrants consent to the use of their information as described.
23. Any entrant (who the Promoter automatically enters into the Competition when they submit
their entries in accordance with Clause 7) who no longer wishes to participate in the Competition
can email info@ozcomiccon.com and request for their entry to be removed from the relevant draw.
