A CONSTRUCTION site is the inspiration behind Circus Oz’s new Big Top show – Cranked Up.
The critically acclaimed show full of gags, stunts, twists and flips is on at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour from January 1-27.
It features acrobats suspended from, and flying through the air around, the show’s centrepiece — a giant swinging steel beam.
Circus Oz has been touring internationally since 1980, visiting more than 100 cities and regions in 26 countries and playing to more than 3.5 million people.
We have prize packs to give away to five lucky readers, with each containing an A Reserve family pass (four tickets) and a Big Top Bag voucher.
The Big Top Bags include a Circus Oz Envirosax Bag, souvenir program, A3 poster, a set of juggling balls, fridge magnet, a Circus Oz badge and a Circus Oz temporary tattoo.
The family passes are for performances on January 8, 9 and 16, all at 1pm.
To enter complete the entry form at the base of the story, select the date of the performance you would like to attend and follow the prompts to submit your entry.
Entries close 5pm on Monday, December 16. Limit one entry per person only. Winners will be drawn at noon on December 17 and will be announced on the competition page on December 18 and notified by mail.

3. The period for entry into the promotion commences at 9.00am December 9, 2013 and closes 5.00pm December 16, 2013.
4. To enter, go to www.newslocal.com.au and click on the competitions tab at the top of the page. Select the Circus Oz Competition from the list. Complete the entry form at the base of the story and follow the prompts to submit your entry. Limit one entry per person only.
5. This competition will run in the Wentworth Courier, Southern Courier, North Shore Times, Central, Inner West Courier and Hornsby Advocate and on their websites at newslocal.com.au
6. We have 30 prize packs to giveaway. Each pack contains an A Reserve family pass (4 tickets) and Big Top Bag voucher. 7. The prize draw will take place at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 17, 2013.
8. This is a promotion based on chance, with winners being picked at random. Winners will be notified by mail. The judge’s decision is final.
9. Winners will be announced on the competition page at www.newslocal.com.au on December 18, 2013.
10. The competition will be drawn at NewsLocal a division of News Limited at 2 Holt Street, Surry Hills, NSW 2010.
11. The total prize pool for this promotion is maximum $ 4,800 only.
12. Any additional expense incurred as a result of winning this prize is the responsibility of the winner.

14. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
a. Inaccurate / incorrect transcription of entry information;

If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition (subject to approval by NSW Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing). The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries.
