Name of Promotion: Make a Pledge With Masters
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this Promotion is
deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Entry is open to residents from Australia, aged 18 years and over only. Directors, management and employees of
Masters Home Improvement Australia Pty Ltd (“Masters”) and agencies directly associated with this Promotion are
ineligible to enter.
3. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s
identity, age, place of residence and employment status with the Promoter) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an
entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry or competition process.
Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. Incomplete or
indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
4. Entries must be submitted through masterspledge.com.au.and will only be accepted in this manner
5. Entry to the promotion is divided into 3 stages: register, submit a pledge/enter and a completed pledge/entry
Register:
• Entrants details are submitted and include entrant’s full name, email, phone number and full address
Pledge/enter:
• Include a pledge written in 25 words or less about the DIY project you plan to complete
•Include a “before” image of the area your DIY project will affect
• User will receive a confirmation email that they have made a pledge.
Complete pledge/entry:
• Include an ‘after’ image of the area your DIY affected and submits entry. A confirmation notice will appear in
the navigation bar and the project will be shown as ‘completed’. The entrant will also receive a confirmation
email of entry.
6. Each entry must:
• Not be offensive, defamatory, unlawful or likely to cause offense to other persons;
• Be an original photo taken by the entrant;
• Be free of any claims, including copyright claims, by other parties; and
• Not promote illegal or negligent activity.
7. To vote, users complete the registration form and submit the following details:
• Full name, email, phone number and full address
• Registered users can vote on an unlimited number of completed entries
• Registered users cannot vote on an individual pledge more than once.
8. Entry is open from 12:00 AEST Thursday 2 January 2013 and closes at 23:59 AEST Sunday 26 January 2013. Completed
entries submitted after the closing date and time will not be eligible for the promotion.
9. If an entry is removed due to violating any of the entry criteria, the entrant will not be able to enter again.
10. Prizes:
a. 2000x $20 gift cards: The first 2000 qualified users to register and submit a pledge will receive a Masters Gift
Card valued at $20. The Gift card will be mailed to the postal address in Australia within 10 days of submitting a
pledge. The Promoter will not be responsible for lost prizes caused by incorrect addresses provided by the prize
winner. One gift card per person
b. 5x $500 Gift cards: 10 completed entries with the most votes in each category will be reviewed by Masters
and the winner of each category will be chosen by Masters based on the creativity and quality of the entry. The
best completed entry in each of the 5 main categories will receive a Masters Gift Card valued at $500. One per
person. Judges’ decision will be final. No correspondence will be entered into.
c. The total prize pool value of the x2000 $20 Masters Gift Cards and the x5 $500 Masters Gift Cards is $42,500.
Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash and must be used by 10 December 2014.
11. Winners will be notified in writing via the email address provided as part of the competition entry process. The Gift
card will be mailed to the winner’s postal address in Australia within 10 days of the winner being contacted by Masters. The
Promoter will not be responsible for lost prizes caused by incorrect addresses provided by the prize winner.
12. If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any
reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest
extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to
modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate. Vote tampering, creation of fake accounts and vote
trading recipients will be removed in the sole discretion of the Promoter.
13. Masters reserves the right to use Promotion entries on promotional materials and ongoing content for masters.
com.au and any Masters social networking pages such as (but not limited to) Facebook, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube and
Twitter, in store and on printed materials produced by Masters.
14. Use of the site must be in line with Masters Terms and cob. 5x $500 Gift cards: 10 completed entries with the most votes in each category will be reviewed by Masters
and the winner of each category will be chosen by Masters based on the creativity and quality of the entry. The

conditionsPrizes which remain undeliverable due to incorrect address details and inability to contact recipients will,
after one week, be reallocated to the next most valid entry until all prizes have been distributed.
15. Subject to clause 13, contact information will not be used for any other purpose other than to notify winners of
their prizes and communicate with winners throughout the promotional period in relation to the Promotion. For further
information on how personal information is handled, please refer to the Masters Privacy Policy.
16. Any cost associated with the competition is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service
provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an
entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
17. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents)
excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity);
whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited
to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the
Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late,
lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the
reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax
liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
18. Subject to clause 13, the Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for
this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers and as required, to
Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter will not use the entrant’s
personal details for any marketing, promotional or publicity purposes. Personal information will only be used to contact
and announce the winners. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter.
All entries become the property of the Promoter. If you require access to your personal information email privacy@
