Competition “Pawsome Pets of WA”
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The promoter of the Pet Insurance “Pawsome Pets of WA”
competition is RAC Insurance Pty Limited ABN 59 094 685
882 (the Promoter).
2. This document, the instructions on how to enter the
“Pawsome pets of WA” competition and other details
contained within promotional advertisements and the
entry forms (if applicable), each form part of the Terms and
Conditions. Participation in the Competition constitutes the
entrant’s unconditional agreement to and acceptance of
the Terms and Conditions.
3. The Competition begins on 05/11/18 at 9:00 am (Australian
Western Standard Time) and ends on 07/12/18 at 23:59 pm
(Australian Western Standard Time) (Competition Period).
4. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the
Competition Period. Only one entry may be received per
entrant (identified by a unique email address). Any
duplicated entries will be deleted and unapproved upon
review.
5. The Promoter reserves the right to not approve and delete
any entrant for any reason it sees fit in its absolute
discretion.
6. Only dogs and cats are eligible to be entered the
Competition. One cat and one dog entrant will each be
awarded as the major prize winners (major prize winners).
They will each receive: (1) a 3-night holiday for two people
to either RAC Parks and Resorts Monkey Mia or Karri Valley
(valid for low and mid-season stays only and must be
redeemed by 31/12/19); (2) RAC Travel voucher to the
value of $500 which must be redeemed by 31/12/19; (3)
Eftpos gift card to the value of $500; (4) Travel experiences
based chosen location up to the value of $700 which must
be redeemed by 31/12/19; (5) Houndstooth pet
photography session worth $195 including one 11×6 print
to the value of $590; (6) 12-month free RAC Pet Insurance
up to the value of $800 which must be redeemed by
30/06/19. 12-month free RAC Pet Insurance is subject to
your pet’s eligibility and the product terms and conditions;
and (7) the accolade of being the RAC Pet Insurance
representative across all online channels for 2019.
7. Two cat and two dog entrants will be awarded the following
runners up prizes: (1) a $250 Eftpos gift card; and (2) a Vet
Shop Direct hamper valued at $75 each.
8. All prizes offered under this Competition are not transferable,
exchangeable or redeemable for cash. If the specified prize
becomes unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may
substitute a prize of like or equal value.
9. To create an entry, the user must submit a photo and/or a
video of an eligible dog or cat through the Shortstack entry
page (https://pawsomepets.pgtb.me/mVxwMJ). Competition
entry must include: pet name, age and breed. Plus, the
owner’s first name, contact number, email address, and
suburb. Photo/video must be less than 3 months old at the
time of entry. No photo animations or edits will be accepted.
Open to WA residents aged 18 yrs and over at the time the
competition is drawn.
10.All approved entries will be visible on the Competition gallery
and members of the public are able to vote by following the
process on the Competition page. Users are prohibited from
voting more than once in an hour.
11.The major prize winners and runner ups will be selected from
the 10 cats and 10 dogs with the most votes from the public.
If there are multiple entries with the same number of public
votes, the promoter has final discretion on the 20 finalists.
12.Entries will be judged by a panel of RAC staff, members and
non-members as ‘pet experts’ to shortlist the eligible entries,
to finalise the two major prize winners and 4 runners up. All
winners will be shortlisted based on the criteria listed on the
Competition page.
13.All winners will be finalised by the judging panel on 14/12/18
and winners will be notified by email on 17/12/18. The winner
will be contacted by the Insurance Marketing team to accept
the winnings and confirm the preferred travel destination.
There will be a formal announcement on RAC WA’s Facebook
page on Tuesday 9/01/19 at 10am.
14.The Judging panel’s decision is final. The Promoter reserves
the right not to select winners of all or any prizes in its
absolute discretion.
15.All prize winners will be notified by phone on 17/12/18 to
confirm if they accept their prize and to provide additional
information required by the Promoter. If a winner does not
accept their prize or is not contactable by phone on 17/12/18,
that winner will be revoked, and the next shortlisted entrant
will be selected.
16.All winners must cooperate with the Promoter to arrange a
time, date and place to collect their prize (which must be
before 21/12/18). Major prize winners must collect their prize
with their winning pet and be available for a photo with the
animal.

17.Major prize winners must provide identification, which
includes a photograph, when collecting prizes. Major prizes
will only be awarded following winner validation and
verification.
18.By entering all entrants authorise the Promoter and the
RAC Group to use the entry content (including images and
videos) to announce winners on the RAC WA website and
social media, and for marketing, advertising and other
business purposes without requiring any additional
consent from the entrant and without compensating the
entrant.
19.All major prize winners authorise and consent to the
Promoter identifying the major prize winner and their
winning pet entry as the representative of RAC Pet
Insurance for 2019 across all online channels.
20.By entering the Competition entrants acknowledge and
agree their entry data will be managed by Pancake
Laboratories Inc who take reasonable commercial steps to
secure your information. Entrants’ information will be
stored in the United States for the duration of the
competition and will be permanently deleted by Friday
14/12/18.
21.Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the
Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents)
excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal
injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of
opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or
consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition,
including, but not limited to, where arising out of the
following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment
malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s
control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party
interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost,
altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their
receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the
reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in
prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e)
any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use
of a prize.
22.The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify an entry if the
entrant has breached any of the Terms and Conditions or
their entry is misleading.
23.The Promoter reserves the right to:
a. declare as void any entries or claims for prizes resulting
from any printing, production or distribution errors or
where there has been error in any aspect of the
preparation for or conduct of the Competition materially
affecting the result of the competition or the number of
Winners or the value of claims for prizes;
b. add to or to waive any of the Terms and Conditions; and
c. cancel the Competition or any part of it at any stage in the
event of circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control.
24.This Competition is subject to the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
Entrants must notify the Promoter in writing if they would like
to amend their personal information or if they have any
queries as to how their personal information will be used.
25.If the Competition is conducted on, or utilising, social media
including, without limitation Facebook, Instagram and Twitter,
the Competition shall be subject to the terms of use governing
the applicable social media platform. In the event of an
inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions, and the
terms of use of the applicable social media tool, the terms of
the applicable social media tool shall prevail.
26.Without prejudice to clause 25 above, if the Competition is
conducted on Facebook, entrants:
a. fully release Facebook from all liability arising out of the
Competition;
b. acknowledge that the Competition is in no way sponsored,
endorsed or administered by, or associated with,
Facebook; and
c. understand and accept that information disclosed in
connection with the Competition is disclosed to the
Promoter and not Facebook.
