FOXTEL – Win a $10,000 trip to Paris, France 2014 – Precinct 13 Competition

This competition (the “PROMOTION”) is conducted by NBCU Global Networks Asia Pte Ltd (“NBCU”) ABN: 24 349 013 705of 3 Munn Reserve, Millers Point, NSW, 2000 (the “PROMOTER”).

The Promotion is a game of chance, and skill plays no part in determining the winners.

Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

The Promotion is only open to eligible entrants (the “ENTRANTS”), being individuals who are:

a) permanent residents of Australia who are 18 years of age or over; and

b) FOXTEL, Optus TV featuring FOXTEL, FOXTEL from Telstra subscribers, or who live in a household with a FOXTEL, Optus TV featuring FOXTEL, FOXTEL from Telstra, subscription and have the subscriber’s permission;

and are not:

c) employees of the Promoter, FOXTEL, Optus TV featuring FOXTEL, FOXTEL from Telstra, Salmat Digital Pty Ltd or an employee of these companies’ related corporations or agencies or any other company associated with the Promoter and the Promotion; or

d) a spouse, de facto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption) of such an employee.

Entry to the Promotion commences at 00:00hrs on Friday 7 March 2014 (AEDT) and closes at 23:59hrs on Friday 28 March 2014 (AEDT) (the “PROMOTION PERIOD”).During the Promotion Period there are twenty two (22) Entry Periods, each with a different start time and date and draw date as set out below (the “Entry Period”):

6. All times and dates are times and dates in Sydney, which may be AEST or AEDT depending on the date. All times are stated using the 24 hour clock. 00:00hrs is the start of a day and 24:00hrs is the end of a day.

7. The competition will be advertised on Universal Channel, 13th Street, E! and Style, in the FOXTEL magazine and on the 13th Street website http://www.13thstreet.com.au/ and their social media pages .

8. To enter the Competition and be eligible to win, entrants must enter:

a) Log on to the Precinct 13 website located at www.precinct13.tv;

OR

Download free Precinct 13 application for iPhone from the App Store; and

b) Register their details including (but not limited to) name and e-mail address for the “Precinct 13” access;

OR

Login in with their own and current Facebook account details to access the “Precinct 13” interface; and

c) Correctly solve the murder mystery.

9. Only 1 (one) entry per person will be permitted or accepted.

The use of any automated software or any other mechanical or electronic means that permits the participant automatically to enter repeatedly is strictly prohibited (“Repeat Entry Device”). If the Promoter reasonably believes that an entrant is using a Repeat Entry Device, the Promoter may disqualify that entrant without notice. To ensure fairness, the Promoter may undertake automatic and/or manual audits of entries and may deem entries ineligible if it is reasonably believed that they are frivolous, incomprehensible, incomplete, or otherwise not genuine.

The cost of accessing the promotional website will be dependent on the entrant’s individual Internet Service Provider.

Inaudible, illegible, incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.

The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity (including phone bill or store receipt for purchase requirement) in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.

The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. This includes, but not limited, to entrants and households using multiple email addresses, postal addresses, PO Box addresses or SIM cards to register single or multiple entries. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause.

Entries must be received by 23:59hrs (AEDT) on Friday 28 March 2014. The time of entry will in each case be the time the online entry is received by the Promoter’s database. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.

16. Each valid entrant who has entered the competition over the duration of the Promotional Period will be entered into the draw. There will be one (1) Major Prize Winner and twenty two (22) Minor Prize Winners randomly selected from all valid entries.

17. Minor Prize Winners will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries received during each applicable Entry Period by Salmat Digital Pty Limited, at Level 2, 116 Miller Street, North Sydney, NSW 2060 on the dates and times as outlined in clause 5. All minor winners will be notified in writing within two (2) days of each draw date.

At the conclusion of the competition all entrants will be entered into the Major Prize draw. The draw will take place at the premises of Salmat Digital Pty Limited, Level 2, 116 Miller Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 at 11:00 (AEDT) on Tuesday 1 April 2014. The winner will be notified in writing within two (2) days of this draw date and have their details published in the public notices section of The Australian Newspaper on Tuesday 8 April 2014.

Prizes will be awarded to person named in the entry. However, in a dispute, will be awarded to the account holder of the entry mechanism used to submit their entry (i.e. mobile phone account holder or land line account holder).

20. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to the Promoter.

Subject to any direction given under relevant State legislation, if any prize remains unclaimed or unwon, an unclaimed prize draw will take place at Salmat Digital Pty Limited, Level 2, 116 Miller Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 at 11:00 (AEST) on Tuesday 1 July 2014. The winner will be notified within 2 days of the draw in writing and published in the Public Notices section of the Australian on Tuesday 8 July 2014.

22. There is one (1) Major Prize and twenty-two (22) Minor Prizes to be won (each a “Prize”).

The Major Prize Winner will receive a trip for two (2) to Paris, France valued at a maximum of $10,000.00

The Major Prize consists of:

Return economy airfares for the Major Prize Winner and their guest from the winners nearest capital city to Paris, France valued at a maximum $5,000.00;
5 x night’s accommodation for the Major Prize Winner and their guest in a twin share accommodation at a minimum 4* private apartment, valued at $3,500.00;
2 x 5 day Metro & Bus passes (valid for zones 1-3) valued at a maximum of $180.00;
2 x tickets to the “Moulin Rouge” Show including a pre-show dinner valued at a maximum of $750.00;
2 x Eiffel Tower Skip the Line Passes (restricted dates apply) valued at a maximum of $200.00
2 x 2 day Paris Museum passes valued at a maximum of $200.00;
1 x ‘Crumpled City’ map of Paris valued at a maximum of $15.00;
1 hour River Seine Cruise for 2 people valued at a maximum of $50.00;
10% discount shopping card for 2 people valued at a maximum of $5.00;
2 course lunch or dinner at Frères Blanc for 2 people valued at a maximum of $100.00.

The Major Prize is valued at a maximum of $10,000.00

24. Each of the twenty -two (22) Minor Prize Winners will receive one (1) book prize pack valued at a maximum of $50.00.

*The exact content of the 13th Street book prize pack is to be determined by Promoter at it’s sole discretion.

The total Minor Prize pool is valued at a maximum of $1,100.00

25.Total Prize Pool is valued at a maximum of $11,100.00. All Prize values are reflective of the recommended retail price and are in Australian dollars. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variations in the Prize values.

26. The Prizes are not transferable, non-endorsable, non-refundable or not redeemable for cash. The Prizes or any element of the Prizes cannot be exchanged for any other prize. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever, a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element. The contents of the Prizes will be at the Promoter’s sole discretion. The Prizes are subject to availability and the terms and conditions of the entities supplying the elements of the Prizes. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that each Prize winner must comply with any conditions of use of the Prizes and the Prize supplier’s requirements.

27. Winners are advised that tax implications may arise from them winning the Prize and they should seek independent financial advice prior to accepting the Prize.

28. Once the Prize has left the Promoter’s/Supplier’s premises, the Promoter and the Relevant Parties will not be responsible for any delay in delivery or loss or damage to the Prize.

29. The Prize will be awarded to the person named in the winning entries.
