Competition Terms and Conditions

Conditions of Entry

1. Information about the prize and how to enter forms part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Entry by each entrant. Entry is via Internet only.

2. Entry is free and open to residents of Victoria aged 18 years and over at the time of travel (“Eligible Entrant”), who enter the promotion in the required manner.

3. Employees of Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd, and their immediate families are not permitted to enter.

DURATION OF THE PROMOTION

4. Entry into the competition opens at 10:00am (AEST) Monday, 1 September 2014 and closes at 3:00pm (AEST) on Friday, 17 October 2014 (“the Promotional Period”).

HOW TO ENTER

5. A maximum of one (1) entry per person will be valid. Duplicate entries will not be accepted. Eligible Entrants can enter the promotion in the following way.

(a)To enter the competition the entrant must go flightcentre.com.au/marathon and complete the Entry form. The tick box authorising subscription to Flight Centre marketing communication must be ticked for the entry to be valid.

(b)The prize winner will be drawn from the list of eligible entrants who entered the competition to win the prize. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. Entries received will be considered final by the Promoter. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid.

6. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the promotional period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.

7. Any contact details entered incorrectly on the Promotional Websites shall be deemed invalid and will result in an ineligible entry.

8. In order to subscribe to the Flight Centre email newsletter and complete the online entry form eligible entrants will be required to provide their first and last name, current and valid email address, mobile number, postcode, state of residence and date of birth.

9. Any costs associated with accessing the Promotional Website remains the responsibility of each entrant and are dependent on the Internet Service Provider used.

10. By entering the competition the winner consents to the use of their name and state of residence for promotional and marketing purposes.

DETAILS OF PRIZES

Major prize: There will be a total of one (1) prize drawn with a total maximum prize value of up to $9,500. The prize includes two (2) return economy class airfares from Melbourne to London flying Qantas, five (5) nights four (4) star accommodation at the K+K Hotel George in London, with return airport to hotel transfers and a London city tour.

Prize conditions:

(a) All passengers must travel on the same flights.
(b) Prize is valid for travel in April 2015 and must conclude with the London
(c) Marathon that takes place on 26 April 2015.
(d) All passengers must be 18 years of age and over at the time of travel.
(e) No refunds, credits, substitutions, additional items or transfers permitted based on variations in trip price related to selected departure date.
(f) Prize has no cash value and cannot be transferred.
(g) Once trip has been booked, full modification and cancellation fees apply.

(i) Valid for Qantas and Qantas Link services with a ‘QF’ flight number only
(j) No codeshare flights permitted (except for QF flight numbers operated by EK)
(k) Frequent flyer points and status credits are not guaranteed
(l) Tickets are not upgradeable.
(m) Tickets are non refundable
(n) Change fees applicable to the fare booked apply
(o) Any change fees are the responsibility of the prize-winner
(p) Ticket must be booked by 31 December 2014.
(q) Prize must be redeemed in one transaction, cannot be kept for more than one use.
(r) Prize winner reference must be on prize winner letter
(s) Booking class must be S or O class only
(t) Prize does not include visas or any other items not articulated in the product descriptions found on the above mentioned websites.
(u) Prize must be taken in full.
(v) Winner must claim prize by 5:00pm, Friday 28 November 2014 or the winner forfeits the prize.

PRIZE DRAWS

11. There will be one (1) computer automated prize draw generating a total of one (1) Prize Winner.

12. The prize draw will take place at Level 2, 436 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne VIC 3004.

13. The time and date of the prize draw is at 11:00am on Friday 31 October, 2014.

NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS

14. The prize winner will be notified by phone, email and by the publication of their name on flightcentre.com.au/marathon on Friday 31 October, 2014 before 5:00pm AEST.

15. The Promoter will assist the Prize Winner as much as is practicable to ensure the prize is taken according to these terms and conditions.

UNCLAIMED PRIZE DRAW

16. If any prize has not been claimed by the winner by 5:00pm, Friday 28 November 2014 (“the unclaimed prizes”), an unclaimed prize draw for the unclaimed prize will occur at 12:00pm (AEST) on Monday 1 December 2014. The unclaimed prize draw will be a random computer generated prize draw. The winner will be notified by phone and email at the time of the draw.

NO LIABILITY

17. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:

(a) inaccurate/incorrect transcription of entry information

(b) purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, sent with insufficient postage (where entry is by post), or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions

(c) any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software

(d) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website

(e) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the competition

(f) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition

(g) any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying a winner

(h) any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant’s or any other person’s computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition

18. The Promoter will not be liable for personal injury suffered during prize winnings. The winner, and his or her guests (if any), must sign and return any liability release and indemnity provided by the Promoter and/or its contractors as a condition of a prize being awarded. Failure to return the signed releases and indemnities will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another winner.

19. This condition does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again.

20. The Promoter is Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd. trading as Flight Centre ABN 25 003 377 188. ATAS Accreditation No. A10412. located at Level 2, 436 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004. The personal information of entrants will be collected to enable the Promoter to administer and promote this competition and its winners and may be used to market its services to the entrant. The personal information of the entrants will be held and used in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy which is available at flightcentre.com.au/marathon. The personal information of winners may be provided to others assisting, including prize suppliers and deliverers, and to authorities that regulate this competition. In the event that entrants decide to opt out of receiving information on promotions, services and market research provided by Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd. they can email customer.feedback@flightcentre.com or contact the Global Head Office on 07 3170 7979. If an entrant does not truthfully provide all requested personal information, the Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win the prize.

21. This promotion is authorised under Victoria and the Trade Promotion Lottery Permit Number is 14/4888
