Terms and Conditions

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions.
By submitting an entry, you (the ‘entrant’) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The promoter is Ardent Leisure Limited (ABN 22 104 529 106) trading as Dreamworld (‘Dreamworld’) of Dreamworld Parkway, Coomera, QLD, 4209
The promotional period begins Monday 2nd June 2014 at 10.00am AEST and closes on Sunday 20th July 2014 at 11.59pm AEST.
The Competition is only open to Eligible Entrants. An “Eligible Entrant” is an individual who: (i) is a resident of Australia at the time of entry; and (ii) is not an employee of the Promoter or any of its related corporations or any of their agencies associated with the Competition; and (iii) is not a spouse, defacto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether full, half, step or by adoption) of such an employee. An Eligible Entrant who is under 18 years of age, must obtain the permission of a parent or guardian to enter.
A pass consists of any pass which entitles the passholder to unlimited entry to Dreamworld, WhiteWater World and SkyPoint for a period in excess of 45 days (‘Pass’). Valid passes include Unlimited World Passes, Happiness Passes and Platinum Passes.
Winners will be selected by random draw at Dreamworld on Tuesday 22nd July 2014 at 9.00am and winners will be notified by phone and/or email by 5pm on the same day. If, in its absolute discretion, Dreamworld determines that a winning entry is not in strict compliance with these terms and conditions, it reserves its right to disqualify the entrant and conduct a re-draw within a period of seven (7) days from the date of the disqualification.
By entering into this competition, you authorise Dreamworld to publish your name, age and suburb as a prize winner in “The Australian” and Dreamworld’s digital communication and for any other promotional use (including but not limited to use in the media and within Dreamworld).

How to enter:

Passholders may enter the promotion once when a Pass is purchased or renewed during the promotional period and once for each day that they visit Dreamworld or WhiteWater World during the promotional period. The following conditions apply to each method of entry:
Purchase or Renewal of a Pass:
The entrant must purchase or renew a Pass online through www.dreamworld.com.au or www.whitewaterworld.com.au, at Dreamworld, WhiteWater World or SkyPoint Observation Deck or through an approved reseller.
If the pass is purchased online through www.dreamworld.com.au or www.whitewaterworld.com.au, an e-Pass will be emailed upon completion of the transaction. To enter the competition, the passholder must log onto www.dreamworld.com.au/Dragons, complete the entry form in full and enter the pass number referenced on their e-Pass. The pass must be purchased and the competition entry must be received during the promotional period to be valid.
If the Pass is not purchased online through www.dreamworld.com.au or www.whitewaterworld.com.au, the passholder must visit Dreamworld, WhiteWater World or SkyPoint Observation Deck during the promotional period to be issued with a Pass before they can enter the competition. To enter, the passholder must log onto www.dreamworld.com.au/Dragons, complete the entry form in full and enter the pass number located on their Pass. The pass must be issued and the competition entry must be received during the promotional period to be valid.
Limit of one entry for each Pass purchased.
Visiting Dreamworld or WhiteWater World:
The entrant must have presented either a valid Pass (which has been issued by Dreamworld, WhiteWater World or SkyPoint Observation Deck on a prior visit) or a valid e-Pass (which has been purchased online from www.dreamworld.com.au or www.whitewaterworld.com.au) to enter the park.
The passholder must log onto www.dreamworld.com.au/Dragons, complete the entry form in full and enter their pass number.
Limit of one entry per pass per day.
Dreamworld reserves the right to disqualify an entrant for any reason. Without limiting this right, entrants may be disqualified where an entry form is incomplete or where an entry does not comply with these terms and conditions.
There are 2 (two) x major prizes to be won. Each prize winner will win a family holiday for 2 adults and 2 children (aged 0-12 years inclusive) to the DreamWorks Animation Studios located in California, USA (each a ‘Prize’ and collectively the ‘Prizes’). Each Prize includes return airfares (including taxes) from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne to Los Angeles, 4 nights’ accommodation (minimum 3.5 star), return transfers from airport to accommodation, return transfers from DreamWorks Studio to accommodation and an exclusive tour of the DreamWorks Animation Studios.
Each Prize must be taken on dates specified by Dreamworld, in its absolute discretion, and all winners must travel on the same dates. All prize winners must be present on the date specified by DreamWorks Animation for the Studio Tour. Travel dates will be confirmed by Dreamworld and DreamWorks Animation and travel will take place between 6 October 2014 and 30 November 2014. Prize winners will be advised in writing of the travel dates before Tuesday 12 August 2014. Prize winners must confirm their intention to travel and provide all required travel details no later seven days after travel dates have been advised.
Each Prize is valued at a maximum retail value of $15,000, including the DreamWorks Animation Studio tour. Total prize pool value (including exclusive experience) is approximately $30,000 AUD
Each Prize does not include any additional charges which may be incurred in connection with the redemption of the Prize which have not been outlined in the Prize description including, but not limited to, transfers to and from the origin airport, costs incurred to obtain passports and other necessary travel documents, car hire, travel insurance, spending money, food, costs incurred in the hotel or any other attractions or activities.
Each Prize winner is responsible for all insurances, passports and all other travel requirements associated with overseas travel.
Any changes in travel requirements are subject to the prior approval of Dreamworld and any costs incurred in connection with any such change must be covered by the prize winner. Any additional travel arrangements which are not included in the Prize must be made by the prize winner at his or her cost. Selection of airline, flights, accommodation and any other component included in the Prizes is at the discretion of Dreamworld. All components of each Prize must be taken together.
Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged, redeemed for cash or sold.
In the event that a prize winner does not accept the Prize and confirm intention to travel and travel details within the timeframe specified, then the Prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the Prize
Prizes must be taken as offered and cannot be varied.
If the winner is under the age of 18 years the prize may be awarded, at the absolute discretion of the promoter, to the prize winner’s parent or legal guardian. In the event that the winner is under 18 years of age, the winner must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 years or over.
Any costs associated with accessing the Dreamworld or WhiteWater World websites are the responsibility of the person seeking access.
Entrants must make their internet entries manually using an internet browser. The Promoter may reject internet entries if it reasonably forms the opinion that they have been entered using automated entry means or by use of a competition entry service.
All entrants must ensure that their entries are received by the Promoter during the promotional period. The Promoter takes no responsibility for, and will not compensate any entrant for, any late or misdirected entry or for any delays or failures in any telecommunications service or equipment.
Only the passholder can enter the competition. Any entry whereby the name of the passholder is not consistent with passholder records for that Pass will be invalid.
To be eligible to claim a Major Prize, the winner must be available to travel on the travel dates specified by Dreamworld, must be eligible to obtain any necessary passports or travel visas and must be deemed fit for travel by the airline company. Should a winner not comply with any of these conditions, the Prize will be forfeited.
Children under the age of 18 years must travel with a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the travel period.
The names of each winner will be published in “The Australian” and on the promotional page www.dreamworld.com.au/Dragons within 7 days of the prize draw.
Any change in the value of the Prizes between publishing date and the date the Prizes are claimed is not the responsibility of the promoter.
Prize selection is random and final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering this promotion you accept that Dreamworld will be capturing profile information including email addresses in order to contact the winner.
If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Dreamworld, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, Dreamworld reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any direction or limitation imposed by Law.
In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it’s determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; Dreamworld may in its absolute discretion cancel the promotion and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to state legislation.
Personal information collected by Dreamworld is dealt with in accordance with these terms and conditions and with its privacy policy, which is available at www.dreamworld.com.au. These terms and conditions will prevail to the extent of any inconsistency.
Any complaint regarding a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles should be addressed to Dreamworld at the address above and will be investigated by an authorised officer. The complainant will be advised of the outcome of the investigation as soon as practicable.
To the full extent permitted by law, Dreamworld, its associated companies and agencies and all those entities’ personnel (the “Relevant Parties”) exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or incurred by any entrant in connection with the promotion or Prizes, including: (i) any indirect, economic or consequential loss; (ii) any loss arising from the negligence of a Relevant Party; (iii) any liability for personal injury or death. Nothing in these conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify an entrant’s rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
Dreamworld assumes no responsibility for: (i) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication including any SMS communication sent to (or by) Dreamworld or any entrant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise, (ii) any theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of such communications; (iii) any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the promotion.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO ANY WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION ON ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROMOTION, TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO OR TO INTERFERE WITH THE FUNCTIONING OF ENTRY PROCESSES, OR TO OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. THE PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW IN THE EVENT THAT ANY SUCH AN ATTEMPT IS MADE, WHETHER OR NOT THAT ATTEMPT RESULTS IN ANY SUCH DAMAGE, INTERFERENCE OR UNDERMINING.
Dreamworld accepts no responsibility for any tax liability incurred as a result of an entrant participating in the promotion or in connection with the Prizes. Entrants should obtain independent tax and financial advice.
If any provision of these conditions is unenforceable for any reason, it will be severed and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Each winner of a prize consents to Dreamworld using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any photograph, film and/or recording of them) in any media at any time or times without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion, Dreamworld and/or any of Dreamworld’s products.
By entering this competition, each entrant consents to the collection of their personal information by or on behalf of Dreamworld for the primary purposes of enabling it to administer the promotion and publicise its winner(s) and to market its products to the entrant. The personal information of each winner may be provided to others assisting in the conduct of the promotion, including the promotion administrator, Prize suppliers and deliverers, and to regulatory authorities. Persons may contact the Promoter by post at the address stated in condition 3 to request access to, or corrections of, any of their collected personal information that is held by Dreamworld. If an entrant does not provide accurate personal information, Dreamworld may determine that they are not eligible to win a prize.
