TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By entering the “Australia’s Greatest Camping BBQ” competition (the “Competition”), you
are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1 Entry is open to all residents of Australia of 18 years of age or older as at the date of
entry except directors, management, employees and immediate families of the
Promoter Caravan Industry Association of Australia and Sponsors Dometic Australia Pty
Ltd, and their associated companies and agencies and participating outlets. Immediate
family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de facto spouse, child or step
child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step parent, grandparent, step
grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step brother, step sister or 1st
cousin.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The Competition commences on Monday 11 December 2017 at 09.00 (AEST) and
concludes on Thursday, 25 January 2018 at 23:59 (AEST) (the “Competition Period”).
3.2 In order to enter, all potential participants must have stayed at an Caravan Industry
Association of Australia Accredited Caravan Holiday Park that carries the ‘Key’ and / go to
https://www.letsgocaravanandcamping.com.au and fill out the competition form by
registering their first name, last name, email address, age range, gender, postcode,
naming the Accredited Caravan Holiday park and date range of their stay and answer in
25 words or less:
“What is the Key to a Great Australian BBQ?”
3.3 The entry must be:
a) the original, independent creation of the entrant that has not previously been
published in any form in any country in the world; and
b) free from any claims, including copyright or trademark claims by other parties.
c) Agree that the promoter can contact the named Accredited Caravan Park to verify
receipt of your stay including payment. The winner and secondary winners must not
have any outstanding bad debts with the park.
3.4 Entries that are found to have been derived from another person’s work in any country
in the world will be considered invalid and, if awarded a prize, that prize must be returned
to the Promoter. The Winner and secondary winners may be required to sign a statutory
declaration regarding the originality of the entry. The Promoter reserves the right to
disqualify any entry it believes breaches any of these conditions.
3.5 Each entrant in the Competition may enter for each separately invoiced accommodation
overnight stay in a Caravan Industry Association of Australia Accredited Park, but can only
win once.
3.6 The time of entry will be the time at which the completed online entry form is received
by the Competition’s online database. Entries received outside of the Competition Period
will be deemed invalid and ineligible to enter the Competition.
3.7 Entry details and any intellectual property subsisting in the entries become and remain
the property of the Promoter and will not be returned to the entrant.
3.8 The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject bulk entries which it
considers to have been generated using software to generate multiple entries.
4. Any entry that is made on behalf of an entrant by a third party will be invalid.
5. PRIZES
5.1 There will be one (1) winner (the “Winner”) selected by a panel of judges at the end of
the competition period for the Camping Holiday Package worth $5,000
5.2 There will be six (6) secondary prize winners, each winner will win a Dometic Cool Ice CI
55 icebox and accessories (total RRP $438.85) . The secondary winners will be selected by
a panel of judges and deemed the next six (6) best answers. The Dometic Cool Ice CI 55
icebox and accessories will be delivered in March 2018.
5.3 The prize package (the “Prize”) consists of:

5.4 Prize conditions: The following conditions apply to each of the experience prizes
a. The Prize package must be used as one event to enable the Winner to undertake a
Camping Holiday ‘Australia’s Greatest Camping BBQ’ Trip. There are no cash alternatives
for the Prize package and / or any element of the prize package.
b. The prize package is provided in the components as set out above and must be used in
one undertaking to allow a Camping Holiday ‘Australia’s Greatest Camping BBQ’ Trip.
c. Caravan Holiday Park vouchers – the winner will choose from the list of providers listed
in the Table Reference Point 5.2 – Caravan Holiday Park Vouchers. The Winner will
nominate the values of the vouchers in the event they choose more than one retailer.
The Terms and Conditions of the voucher provider will apply to the winner, the contract
is between the winner and their chosen vender / venders.
d. Domestic Flights – the promoter will provide a Flight Centre voucher ( or alternative
provider nominated by the Winner ) to the value. However with agreement, the
promoter may agree to alternative methods of paying for the flights e.g. purchase order
/quote provided that the promoter would pay direct. The booking of flights is the
responsibility of the winner and they are bound by the terms and conditions of the
airline provider. If the total value of the flights $1500 is not used, the winner forfeits the
remaining balance. If the value of the flights is greater than $1500 the winner must pay
the additional balance.
e. Motorhome / RV hire – the booking and organizing of a vehicle is the responsibility of
the winner. The promoter will provide a voucher or agree to pay direct a quote /
purchase order from the nominated service provider. The winner is bound by the terms
and conditions of the service provider. If the total value of the hire $1500 is not used,
the winner forfeits the remaining balance. If the value of the hire is greater than $1500
the winner must pay the additional balance.
f. The Coles and Caltex vouchers will be sent direct to the winner, each voucher is valued
at $250.
g. Secondary Prizes will be delivered by Post / Courier in March 2018. The address of
delivery must not be a Po Box and the winner maybe required to sign on receipt of the
delivery.
5.4 Unless expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions all other expenses associated with
redeeming the Prize become the responsibility of the Winner.
5.5 In participating in the Prize, the Winner (and their travelling companion(s)) agree to
participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the
Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The
Winner (and their travelling companion(s)) agree to grant the Promoter and Sponsor a
perpetual and non-exclusive licence (including the right to sub-licence) to use their
name(s) and such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the Winner (and
their travelling companion(s)) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
5.6 The Winner agrees they will not, and will ensure that their travelling companion(s) do not,
sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other
organisation.
5.7 Prizes are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Winner should seek
independent financial advice about any tax implications that may arise from the prize
winnings.
5.8 The Sponsors are solely responsible for the fulfilment of the Secondary Prizes and the
nominated Retailers nominated by the Winner in Table 5.30 are responsible for the
delivery of their products and services. The Winner will be responsible for understanding
the contract terms their nominated retailers enact in the delivery of their products and
services.
5.9 In the event that a part of the Prize is no longer available, subject to regulations, the
Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes in its discretion to the same and equal
recommended value.
6 HOW TO WIN
6.1 All entries completed and submitted in accordance to these Terms and Conditions will
be judged at the Promoter’s office at Unit 9, 10 Hudson Road Albion Queensland 4010
January 25th 2018.
The Winner and secondary Winners will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by
the Promoter. The Winners will be the entrants whose entry fulfils the entry criteria and
whose answer is judged to be the most creative and original from all entries received.
This is a game of skill. There is no element of chance in the judging of the Competition
or determination of the Winners. Times are Eastern Standard Time.
6.2 The Winner and secondary Winners will be notified by email at the conclusion of the
judging using the contact details provided in their entry.
6.3 The judges’ decision (including any decisions as to prize distribution) is final and the
Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
6.4 The Promoter reserves the right to request that the Winner and secondary winners
provide proof of age and/or identity prior to awarding Prize. Identification considered
suitable for the verification is at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
6.5 It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner and secondary winners may be
required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute
discretion.
6.6 If the Promoter or Sponsors are unable to contact a Winner within two (2) weeks of the
date of judging the Competition, that Winner will forfeit the relevant Prize in its entirety
and the Prize shall be awarded to the next runner up in the Competition. The Promoter
or Sponsors will not be liable for a Winner who does not respond to the Promoter or
Sponsor’s email attempts and therefore forfeits their Prize and no correspondence will
be entered into.
6.7 It is a condition of accepting a Prize that the Winner and secondary winners must comply
with all the conditions of use of the Prize and the Prize supplier’s requirements. To the
extent of any inconsistency with these Terms and Conditions, the terms and conditions of
the prize supplier prevail.
6.8 The Promoter reserves the right to rejudge the Competition in the event that an entrant,
who was initially deemed to be the winner, is unable to satisfy any of these Terms and
Conditions.
7 NO LIABILITY
7.1 Any costs associated with entering this Competition or claiming prizes (such as
internet service charges) are the responsibility of the entrant.
7.2 The Promoter, the Sponsors and their associated agencies and companies will take no
responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
7.3 The Promoter, the Sponsors and their associated agencies and companies will not be
liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to
consequential loss) or claim suffered or brought by an entrant:
a) during the judging;
b) whilst undertaking any travel won or connected with their entry into the Competition
c) in their participation in this Competition or in any Prize;
d) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
e) as a result of failure to comply with any of these terms and conditions; or
f) due to the publication of any material, including any statements made by any staff
member, journalist, other entrants or any other person.
7.4 The Promoter and its affiliates accept no responsibility for any problems or
technical malfunction of any communication network or for any late, lost,
incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries,
claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering,
deletion, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and
reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
7.5 If, for any reason, this Competition is not capable of being conducted as planned,
including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical
failures or for any other reason which may corrupt or affect the administration, security,
fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, the Promoter reserves the right,
in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process,
take any action that may be available or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the
Competition, subject to state legislation.
7.6 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or
significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Competition on the
dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not
limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest,
strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the
Competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
7.7 All entries become the property of The Promoter and Sponsor. All opt-in entries will be
entered into a database and The Promoter and Sponsor may use the entrant’s names,
addresses and telephone numbers for future promotional, marketing and publicity
purposes. By opting-in, entrants confirm that they allow their details to be used for this
purpose. If entrants no longer consent to their details being used for future marketing
purposes, the entrant should contact The Promoter or Sponsor on their details set out
below. Any request to update, modify or delete the entrant’s details should be directed
to The Promoter or Sponsor.
