COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
General
1. By participating in the Broadsheet x L’OR competition (Promotion), each participant fully and
unconditionally agrees and acknowledges that these terms and conditions are binding.
2. The promoter is Broadsheet, trading as Broadsheet Media Pty Ltd, ABN 20 131 593
201 of Level 1, 231 Smith Street, Fitzroy, VIC 3065 (Promoter).
3. The Promotion commences at 09:00 (AEDT) on 5
th
April, 2018 and closes at 23:59 (AEDT) on
Sunday 15
th
April, 2018 (Promotion Period).
4. Entry is open to Australian residents only who are over 18 years of age.
How to Enter
5. To enter this Promotion you must complete the application form including your first name, last
name, email address and postcode and answer the required question Tell us who you would
take to L’OR Espresso’s Paris by Night and why?.
6. This is a game of skill. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered
into with entrants.
7. Multiple entries are not permitted.
8. Entrants can only enter in their own name. The use of automatic entry software, mechanical or
electronic devices that allows an individual to automatically enter the competition is prohibited
and may render all entries submitted by that individual invalid.
9. Employees of the Promoter, immediate family members of any employee, and any associated
company or agency of the Promotion are not eligible to enter.
10. Entries not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions are void. Entries will be
deemed void if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way.
Draw and Prizes
1. Judging for the prize will take place at Level 1, 231 Smith St Fitzroy, VIC 3065 at 9:30(AEDT)
on Mon 16
th
April, 2018.
2. Major Prize One (1) winner and a guest, will receive a Golden Evening weekend, which
includes:
a. Return economy flights to Sydney from the winners nearest capital city (Melbourne,
Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth only).The winner and guest must depart from,
and return to, the same point of departure and travel together for the duration of the
trip. For the avoidance of doubt, if the winner resides in Sydney, this flight is forfeited.
Airport and accommodation transfers are NOT included.
b. Accommodation in a shared room for two (2) people for two (2) nights at QT Sydney
(49 market st, Sydney),
c. A dinner for two at Gowings Bar & Grill to the value of $175, 1 x 60 minute couples
treatment at spaQ to the value of $470 and personalised cocktails on arrival.
d. Two (2) tickets to L’OR Paris By Night performance on 19
th
April Sydney.
3. Minor Prize: Thirty (30) runner up prize winners from Sydney will each receive 1 x double
pass for themselves and one guest (who must be over 18 years of age) to the Event in Sydney
on Thursday, 19
th
April at 7pm.
4. Total prize pool value is at approximately $4,000 plus GST.
5 In relation to the travel component of the Major Prize:
a. Unless expressly stated otherwise in these terms and conditions, the winner and
their guest are solely responsible for all costs and expenses associated with using
the travel component of the prize including costs associated with non-flight or airline
associated taxes or charges, meals, transfers, and suitable travel insurance with the
trip (if any).
b. Travel is not eligible for any frequent flyer points accrual travel is not eligible for any
frequent flyer points accrual, upgrades, companion redemption or credit of tier
status.
6 In relation to the accommodation component of the Major Prize:
a. The winner may be required to provide a valid credit card imprint or cash deposit at
check-in for the purposes of covering incidental or other charges at the hotel.
b. Unless expressly stated otherwise in these terms and conditions, the prize does not
include the cost of telephone calls, internet access, meals, in-room dining, in-room

movies, mini bar, gratuities or any other costs or expenses incurred by the winner or
their guest, and/or any of their other guests at the hotel.
7 Winners of this competition will be notified via email or phone to their nominated email address
or number by 13:00(AEDT) on Monday 16
th
April, 2018.
8 In this communication the winner will be sent instructions to redeem their prize and the prize
must be redeemed on the selected dates provided.
9 This prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, cannot be sold, exchanged for cash. There will
be no compensation in the event that winners are unable to use all or part of the prize for reasons
beyond the Promoter’s control.
10 If the winners cannot be contacted by 17:00 (AEDT) Mon 16
th
April, 2018, the Promoter has the
right in its sole discretion to select a new winner.
11 The Promoter reserves the right to alter the rules of the competition at any time.
12 The details contained in your entry are protected by security safeguards detailed in the

13 The winners and their guests acknowledge that they must be over 18 years of age to enter the
Event and will only be admitted into the event upon presentation of appropriate age identification, if
requested.
14 The Promoter will use its best endeavours to provide the prize/s listed. If any of the prize/s are
unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the
right to substitute that prize or item for a prize or item of an equivalent value.
15 By entering the Promotion, unless otherwise advised, the winner agrees to their name, town
and image being published by the Promoter or Jacobs Douwe Egberts AU Pty Limited (Co-
Promoter) in any media or publicity in relation to the Promotion, without compensation.
16 By participating in the Promotion, the entrant warrants that their entry is original and does not
infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third parties. The entrant assigns all rights, title
and interest to their entry to the Promoter without compensation. The Promoter may, if
required, request that an entrant complete any documentation necessary to give effect to this
assignment of right, title and interest.
17 The Promoter and Co-Promoter and either of their related companies, employees and
agencies shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered by any
person in connection with this Promotion, including but not limited to indirect or consequential
loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using the
prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
18 For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions limits, excludes or modifies
or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees under the Australian
Consumer Law.
19 The Promoter may require the entrant to provide proof of identity, age, and residency. If any
entry cannot be verified to the Promoter’s satisfaction, the entry may be declared invalid.
20 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and may in its sole discretion
disqualify any entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone who in its opinion has tampered with
the entry process, has not complied with these terms and conditions, has gained any unfair
advantage or has won by fraudulent means.
21 The Promoter and any other agencies associated with this Promotion will not be responsible
for any late, lost or misdirected entries, including but not limited to entries not received due to
technical problems. Entries are deemed to be received at time of receipt by the Promoter’s
database and not at the time of transmission by the entrant. Records of the Promoter are final
and conclusive at the time of receipt.
22 If for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control this Promotion is not capable of
running as planned, for reasons including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering,
unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the reasonable
control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness or
integrity of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel,
terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.

23 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize
winnings or the use of the prize winnings. It is the responsibility of each entrant to seek
independent advice on the possible implications this may have on their own financial situation.
24 If all or any part of any term or condition contained in these terms and conditions shall be
declared or become unenforceable, invalid or illegal for any reason, such term or provision (or
part thereof) shall be deemed severed from these terms and conditions to the extent of the
unenforceability, invalidity or illegality and the other terms and conditions hereof shall remain in
full force and effect as if the offending term or provision (or part thereof) had not been inserted
herein.

25 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated
with, Facebook or Instagram. Facebook or Instagram will not be liable for any loss or
damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained by an entrant, as a result of
participating in the promotion (including taking/use of a prize), except for any liability
which cannot be excluded by law.
