ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL PROMOTION
TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2020
The Promoters are the Alliance Française d’Adelaide, Alliance Française de Melbourne, Alliance
Française de Brisbane, Alliance Française de Perth, Alliance Française de Canberra and the Alliance
Française de Sydney.
The Promoters organise a competition, which is open to any person meeting the requirements below,
to win prizes offered by sponsors (“Competition”).
The sponsors are Air France, Maison Chapoutier, New Caledonia Tourism, Aircalin, Pierre Fabre
Australia and Cartell Music (together the “Sponsors”).
Information on how to enter the Competition and details of prizes form part of these terms and
conditions. Entry to the Competition is free and constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions
below
Terms and Conditions
Entry is only open to Australian residents and all the major prize winners must be over 18 years of age.
Employees (and their immediate family: parents, brothers and sisters and children) of the Promoters,
sponsors, volunteers, participating retailers and agencies associated with this Competition are
ineligible to enter.
Each person taking part in the Alliance Française French Film Festival Competition may only
participate once.
The Promoters reserve the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including
an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry
that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with the entry process.
Failure by the Promoters to enforce any of its rights at any stage of the Competition does not
constitute a waiver of those rights.
To be eligible to enter the Competition, participants must fully complete the official entry form
available on the Alliance Française French Film Festival 2019 website: www.affrenchfilmfestival.org
and the question: “In 25 words or less, what does the Festival mean to you?”
Competition commences on 06/02/2020 and ends on 20/04/2020 (“Promotional Period”). All entries
must be received by 11:59pm AEDST on 20/04/2020. 5 winners will be selected from all the valid
entries (“Winners”). A panel selected by the Promoters will judge all valid entries and the Winners will
be selected on 22/04/2020 at 3pm [AEDT] at Alliance Française de Sydney, 257 Clarence Street, Sydney
NSW 2000. The panel selected by the Promoters will include members of the Board of Alliance
Française de Sydney and its General Manager. Prize Winners will be notified by email on 23/04/2020
at 3pm [AEDT]. Winners’ names will also be published on the Alliance Française French Film Festival
website by midday on 24/04/2020.
Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable for cash.
Prizes will be finalised and determined at the Promoters’ sole discretion and are subject to the
Sponsors’ own terms and conditions, as included in Appendix 1 (the details of the prizes are detailed
in Appendix 1).
Entrants consent to the Promoters using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event
they are a Winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an
unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Competition (including any
use by the Sponsors of the Winners’ names, image and/or voice for promoting any products
manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Sponsors.
The Promoters collects personal information in order to conduct the Competition and may, for this
purpose, disclose such information to prize suppliers. Entry to the Competition is conditional on
providing this information. The Promoters may, for an indefinite period unless otherwise advised, use
the information for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes including sending electronic
messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct
information to the Promoters.
In the event that for any reason whatsoever a Winner does not take an element of the prize at the
time stipulated by the Promoters then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the Winner and
cash will not be awarded in lieu of that prize or element of the prize.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoters (including its officers, employees
and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage
(including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way
out of the Competition, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any
technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any
theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost,
altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoters) due to any
reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated
in these terms and conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a Winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
If for any reason whatsoever this Competition is not able to be held as planned, due to any reason,
including unauthorised intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoters,
which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this
Competition, the Promoters reserve the right (subject to any applicable law) in their sole discretion to
(a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition, as
appropriate.
In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or
prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures,
tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoters may at their absolute
discretion cancel the Competition and and start it again under the same conditions subject to state
legislation.

APPENDIX 1
PRIZE DETAILS
1) FIRST PRIZE DETAILS: The best entry as determined by the judges will win the first
prize.
The first prize includes:
a. Two Return Economy Class Tickets to Paris on Air France.
b. Three (3) nights stay at one of premier gites.
c. VIP tour and tasting of M. Chapoutier vineyards and wines.
d. Dinner for two (2) at Marius Restaurant in Tain l’Hermitage, secialising in seasonal and
local cuisine. options.

A. AIR FRANCE PRIZE – SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
– Australian departure cities permitted: Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth only.
– Travel is not valid during Australian School Holidays, Christmas or Easter. Travel is subject to
availability in N class.
– Prize is valid to be booked and issued no later than Friday 25 July 2020. Valid for travel 01 June
2020 to 31 May 2021, inclusive of return dates.
– The recipient is responsible for all applicable government and security taxes and levies, airport
charges or paid services.
– Winner and his/her travel companion are responsible for having valid travel documents and
obtaining the right to enter the France.
– Travel between Australia and Asia is to be on the services of an Air France Partner Carrier in
economy class, carrier is at Air France’s sole discretion. Travel between Asia and Paris is to be on the
services of Air France in economy class.
– Tickets are to be used together, on the same travel dates and flights. Changes are not permitted.
– Air France prize-winner’s tickets are not transferable, not cash-redeemable, non-upgradeable and
their validity cannot be extended. (The winner of the ticket(s) must be among the travelers)
– Frequent flyer points will not be awarded on this airfare.
– Winner and his/her travel companion are personally responsible for any other costs and gratuities,
which are not explicitly included in this Prize (e.g. visa application, travel insurance etc.).
– Winner and his/her travel companion agree when accepting the Prize that acceptance is entirely at
his/her own risk and responsibility. Air France shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever
which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or any personal injury
suffered or sustained in connection with this Prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded
by law.
– Air France accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from accepting the Prize.
– Travel Insurance is strongly recommended by the Department of Foreign Affairs And Trade for all
overseas travel. Air France recommends seeking advice about travel insurance.
– No preferred seating is available for this booking.
B. M. CHAPOUTIER PRIZE – SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
– Booking must be made immediately after confirmation of flight details and with at least three (3) months
notice.
– Transfers/travel from Paris to Tain l’Hermitage are not included and must be arranged by you.
– M. Chapoutier Australia accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from accepting this
prize.
– Actual accommodation venue is subject to availability.
– Any dietary requirements must be communicated to M. Chapoutier in writing during booking process.
– Winner and his/her travel companion agree when accepting this prize that acceptance is entirely at his/her
own risk and responsibility. M. Chapoutier shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is
suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or any personal injury suffered or sustained
in connection with this prize, except for any liability which connot be excluded by law.
– Travel insurance is strongly recommended by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for all overseas
travel. M. Chapoutier recommends seeking advice about travel insurance.
2) SECOND PRIZE DETAILS: The second best entry as determined by the judges will win
the second prize.
The second prize includes:
a. Two complimentary return economy class tickets on Aircalin to Noumea from Sydney,
Melbourne or Brisbane.
b. 5 nights at Château Royal Beach Resort & Spa in Standard 1bedroom Suite including breakfast
for 2 people
c. Full day Amedee Island Excursion for 2 people
d. Return airport transfers

A. GENERAL CONDITIONS
– Hotel nights include taxes and complimentary breakfast for two people.
– Hotel prize is valid on a double occupancy and the nights must be consecutive and can’t be
separated.
– Hotel booking: stay valid until 22 December 2020, must be booked in advance, based on availability
and subject to certain black-out dates.
– This voucher is only valid during the period above and except the following blackout dates:
February 14th, 2020 // April 10th to 26th, 2020 // July 4th to 19th, 2020 // September 26th to
October 11th, 2020
– Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-negotiable, cannot be sold or exchanged for cash
and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
– Additional expenses, visas, compulsory travel insurance, meals not listed, any optional tours and
activities during free time, camera fees, tips or gratuities, and items of a personal nature, are not
included in the prize and are at the winner’s expense.
– Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over.
– Entrants may only enter once.
– Multiple entries are not permitted.
– The winner will be chosen at the judges’ absolute discretion and no correspondence will be entered
into
– The winner may also be contacted and photographed during the prize handover.
B. AIRCALIN CONDITIONS
– Tickets are for two return economy class seats from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane
– Travel (including Aircalin codeshare flights on SB flight number) is on a firm space basis, though
subject at all times to availability at time of request. Aircalin reserves the right to offer an alternative
date of travel when the preferred choice is not available
– Travel must be completed by 22 December 2020.
– Tickets are not transferable, redeemable for cash and are non-endorseable.
– The winner and companion must travel together at all times.
– Dress Code: Smart Casual – Denim jeans, rubber thongs and bare midriff tops are not acceptable.
– The competition is open to Australian residents within Australia.
– The promoters of the completion will be given entrants details and could be used for promotional
purposes.
3) THIRD PRIZE DETAILS: The third best entry as determined by the judges will win the
third prize.
The third prize includes: Prepare to be pampered with a selection of Avène & Klorane’s best
skincare products.

A. AVENE & KLORANE PRIZE – SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for other prizes or cash. If any prize (or
any part of any prize) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoters may at their sole discretion,
reserve the right to substitute the prize (or part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value
and/or specification.
4) FOURTH PRIZE DETAILS: The fourth best entry as determined by the judges will win
the fourth prize.
The fourth prize includes: Prepare to be pampered with a selection of Avène & Klorane’s best
skincare products.

A. AVENE & KLORANE PRIZE – SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for other prizes or cash. If any prize (or
any part of any prize) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoters may at their sole discretion,
reserve the right to substitute the prize (or part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value
and/or specification.
5) FIFTH PRIZE DETAILS: The fifth best entry as determined by the judges will win the
fifth prize.
The fifth prize includes: Win the entire Cartell Music collection. 35 albums from France and
beyond including the iconic So Frenchy So Chic compilation.

Privacy Policy
By registering as a participant to the Competition, you consent to subscribe to Alliance Française
French Film Festival e-newsletter, to the Alliances Françaises of Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra,
Melbourne, Perth, Sydney e-newsletter (if you do not wish to register to these e-Newsletters, please
do not register as a participant) and also to the Sponsors’ newsletter.
The Promoters may transfer collected information to their partners. You acknowledge that such
transfer may occur, and that its partners may continue to use your personal information. In such an
instance, your personal information is governed by the partners’ respective privacy policies.
The Promoters collect your personal information to assist us in providing the goods or services you
have requested, to process your competition entries, and to improve the Promoters’ products and
services. The Promoters may be in touch by email to let you know about goods, services, or
promotions which may be of interest to you. The Promoters may also share your information with
other persons or entities that assist them in providing their services, running competitions or with
other companies who provide prizes for competitions or reader offers.
By entering the Competition, the participants accept these terms and conditions. The participant’s
entry will be deemed void where it does not comply with any of these terms and conditions.
