AAMI NEW YEAR PROMOTION 2014
This promotion is conducted by AAI Limited ABN 48 005 297 807 trading as AAMI (AAMI) of Level 18, Suncorp Centre, 36 Wickham Terrace, Brisbane, QLD 4000. Please attention any postal correspondence to “AAMI Marketing Team” at PO Box 14180, Melbourne City Mail Centre, Victoria 8001.
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry. Entry is via Internet only in the manner set out in the Conditions of Entry below.
Entry is only open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or older. Employees (and their immediate family members) of the promoter, or any related body corporate of the promoter, as well as any agency associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. An entrant who meets this Condition 3 is known as an “Entrant”.
Promotion commences at 09:00am (AEDT) on 10/02/2014 and closes at 11:59:59pm (AEDT) on 21/03/2014 (Promotional Period). The draw will take place at midday (AEDT) on 26/03/2014 at Contact Management Associates (Vic) Pty Ltd, 92-94 Tope St, South Melbourne, Victoria 3205. An electronic drawing system will be used to randomly select the winning entry. The winner will be notified by telephone and by email on or before 28/03/2014. The winner’s name and locality will be published in The Australian on 3/04/2014. AAMI’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
To enter the promotion an Entrant must visit www.luckyaami.com.au (Promotional Website) during the Promotional Period and fully and correctly complete and successfully submit the online entry form, including providing the Entrant’s full name, postcode and current and valid email address.
Each Entrant is limited to one (1) entry into the promotion. Multiple entries from the same Entrant will render all of their entries invalid.
The use of any automated entry software or any mechanical, electronic or other means that allows an Entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that Entrant invalid.
Internet entries will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by AAMI and not at the time of transmission. Contact details entered incorrectly or incompletely on the Promotional Website by an Entrant will deem an entry invalid. Costs associated with accessing the Promotional Website remain an Entrant’s responsibility and may vary depending on the internet service provider used.
AAMI reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry and reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant for: (a) tampering with the entry process; (b) submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry; or (c) if the Entrant is engaged in any unlawful or other improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. AAMI’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
The first valid and eligible entry drawn from all entries received during the Promotional Period will receive one (1) travel prize to Sydney for the winner and one (1) travel companion (aged 18 years or older) for 3 nights to be taken within 12 months of accepting the prize (or within 9 months of accepting the prize if the winner is drawn in accordance with Condition 18 below). The travel prize is valued at up to $21,399.99 (Travel Prize), GST inclusive. The Travel Prize consists of:
two (2) adult return economy airfares to Sydney, Australia from the Australian capital city airport closest to the ordinary residential address of the winner (inclusive of airfare related taxes and charges). This portion of the Travel Prize is valued at up $2,700.00. If the winner’s residential address is in Sydney this component of the Travel Prize is forfeited however condition 10(c) would still apply;
Three (3) nights accommodation at 1888 Hotel, 139 Murray St, Pyrmont, NSW (one (1) Junior Suite room) including buffet breakfast daily;
Return transfers by Chrysler Stretch Limousine for the winner with their one (1) travel companion, between the destination airport in Sydney and 1888 Hotel or, if the winner’s residential address is in Sydney, between the winner’s residential address and 1888 Hotel;
Five (5) return transfers by corporate car for the winner with their one (1) travel companion:

$5,000 AUD spending money for the winner only;
Luxury cruise on Sydney Harbour (excludes Cockle Bay) for two (2), by Sydney Harbour Escapes on ‘I Do’ (2 hour charter), including complimentary champagne;
A dinner at Aria restaurant at Circular Quay, Sydney, for two (2), valued at up to $1,000; and
Beauty treatments at Shangri-La, Sydney, for two (2), valued at up to $816.
The Travel Prize must be taken by the winner and their one (1) companion, within 12 months of accepting the prize (or within 9 months of accepting the prize if the winner is drawn in accordance with Condition 18 below), otherwise the Travel Prize will be forfeited. All components of the Travel Prize must be taken together and when offered or will be forfeited. The winner and their one (1) companion must travel together and depart from and return to the same departure point. The winner and their one (1) companion may not accrue frequent flyer points. No extension or variation of the travel dates nominated by AAMI is permitted. Use of the Travel Prize and any passes or vouchers issued as part of the Travel Prize may be subject to prevailing prize supplier terms and conditions of use. The Travel Prize cannot be used in conjunction with travel discounts or special offers. Travel and accommodation are to be arranged by a licensed travel agency nominated by AAMI.
All additional costs not expressly stated, but which may be incurred in acceptance and use of the Travel Prize, are the responsibility of the winner and their one (1) companion. Such additional costs include, but are not limited to, additional meals, additional beverages, room service, telephone calls, laundry services, spending money (other than as provided in the Travel Prize), transport (other than as provided under the Travel Prize), taxes, insurance, or travel insurance. The winner may be required to present a credit card at time of accommodation check-in.
Acceptance of the Travel Prize is subject to any prevailing terms and conditions of accommodation/transport/services/transfers or tour providers, and in particular, any stated health, behaviour, age and safety requirements. No compensation will be payable if the winner, or their one (1) companion, is unable to use any element of the Travel Prize for whatever reason, including refusal of entry or ejection from any venues or participation in certain activities for health, age, behavioural or safety reasons. Any part of the Travel Prize that is not taken for any reason is forfeited.
The Travel Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. AAMI accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the Travel Prize. AAMI accepts no responsibility for any variation in Travel Prize value. All prize values for goods and services are the recommended retail price excluding GST unless otherwise stated. The winner’s spending money is $5,000 only.
AAMI will draw one (1) additional reserve entry in the draw on 26/03/2014 in case an invalid entry or ineligible Entrant is first drawn, or the first drawn Entrant is unable to accept the Prize, or if the Entrant does not confirm their eligibility to be awarded the Prize in the required time in accordance with Condition 16.
The first drawn Entrant must confirm their eligibility and acceptance of the Travel Prize by no later than 4:00pm AEDT on 28/03/2014, otherwise their entry will be deemed invalid. If their entry is deemed invalid in this manner, the Travel Prize will be awarded to the reserve entry drawn in accordance with Condition 15, subject to that Entrant establishing their eligibility and acceptance of the Travel Prize by no later than 10:00am AEDT on 31/03/2014.
If the Travel Prize cannot be awarded to the first drawn Entrant, or if required under Condition 16 the second Entrant drawn, then AAMI will hold an unclaimed prize draw in accordance with Condition 18.
AAMI may conduct a further draw at the same time of day and place as the original draw as is necessary on 26/06/2014 in order to award the Travel Prize if unclaimed by that date, subject to any written directions provided by a gaming regulator under applicable State or Territory laws. In the event of any winner in the unclaimed prize draw, the winner will be notified by telephone and by email on or before 28/06/2014 and the name and locality of the winner will be published in The Australian on 03/07/2014.
AAMI encourages the winner and their companion to enjoy any alcohol consumption in moderation. Adults are advised to consider the ‘low risk drinking’ guideline recommended in the National Health & Medical Research Council’s Australian Alcohol Guidelines which states: for healthy men and women, drinking no more than two (2) standard drinks on any day reduces your risk of harm from alcohol-related disease or injury over a lifetime. Drinking no more than four (4) standard drinks on a single occasion reduces the risk of alcohol-related injury arising from that occasion. The winner and their chosen companions agree that the Travel Prize is subject to relevant health, safety and liquor consumption laws, including responsible service of alcohol requirements of any prize provider. AAMI additionally encourages the winner and their one (1) companion to visit the Australian Government’s information site for alcohol at www.alcohol.gov.au.
Entrants can only enter the promotion in their own name. Entrants who provide incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information are ineligible to participate in the promotion and all entries of an Entrant who is deemed by AAMI to have provided incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information may, at the discretion of AAMI, be deemed invalid. AAMI reserves the right to request the Entrant produce (within the requested time) appropriate photo identification or other documentation (to AAMI’s satisfaction) in order to confirm the Entrant’s identity, age, residential address, eligibility to enter and claim the Travel Prize, and any information submitted by the Entrant in entering the promotion, before issuing the Travel Prize. If the documentation required by AAMI is not received by AAMI (or its nominated agent) or an Entrant or entry has not been verified or validated to AAMI’s satisfaction that Entrant’s entry will be ineligible and deemed invalid.
The Travel Prize will only be awarded following any winner validation and verification that AAMI requires.

Entries received will be considered final by AAMI. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. AAMI accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
Any attempt, deliberate or otherwise, to cause malicious damage to or interference with the normal functioning of the Promotional Website or the information on the Promotional Website, or to otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion may be a violation of criminal or civil law and, should such an attempt be made, whether successful or not, AAMI reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. If AAMI suffers loss, damage or incurs any costs in connection with any breach of these Conditions of Entry or any other legal obligation by an Entrant, the Entrant agrees to indemnify AAMI for that loss, damage or cost.
If the Travel Prize or element of the Travel Prize becomes unavailable, for any reason beyond AAMI’s reasonable control, then a comparable prize or prize element of equal or greater value will be awarded in lieu, subject to any written directions made by the relevant gaming regulator under applicable State or Territory laws.
AAMI and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to that arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with or arising from taking the Travel Prize or using the Travel Prize, except any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
AAMI and its associated agencies and companies are not responsible for any problems, delays or technical malfunction of any telephone or network or lines, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on a network or a mobile network or any combination thereof, or any other technical failures including any damage to the Entrant’s or any other person’s mobile handset, computer or peripherals related to, or resulting from, participation in this promotion or the downloading of any materials related to this promotion.
AAMI will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of AAMI including but without limitation technical malfunctions or failures.
If this promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited to war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), weather event (such as storm, fog affecting flights or similar), infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or anything which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, AAMI reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and/or, if necessary, to provide an alternative prize to the equivalent value as the Travel Prize, subject to any written directions made by a gaming regulator under applicable State or Territory laws.
As a condition of entering this promotion an Entrant consents to, in the event they are the winner, AAMI using the Entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without further notification, remuneration or compensation for the purpose of promoting, publicising or marketing the promotion (including any outcome), and/or promoting any products or services manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by AAMI. The Entrant agrees that, in the event they are the winner, the Entrant will participate in all reasonable promotional activities in relation to the promotion as requested by AAMI or its agents.
An entry irrevocably becomes, at time of entry, the property of AAMI. AAMI collects personal information about an Entrant to include the Entrant in the promotion and, where appropriate, award prizes. If the personal information requested is not provided, the Entrant cannot participate in the promotion and is deemed ineligible. An Entrant also agrees that AAMI may, in the event the Entrant is the winner, publish or cause to be published the Entrant winner’s name and locality in any media, such as on its website or in The Australian newspaper. An Entrant can gain access to, update or correct any personal information held by AAMI by contacting AAMI at the postal address shown in Condition 1. If an Entrant participates in the promotion and also chooses to “opt-in” on the Promotional Website, the Entrant acknowledges that a further primary purpose for collection of the Entrant’s personal information by AAMI is to enable AAMI and its related companies to use the information to assist us in improving our goods and services and to contact the Entrant in the future with information on special offers or provide the Entrant with marketing materials via any medium including mail, telephone and commercial electronic messages (SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Message Service), IM (Instant Messaging) and email) or any other form of electronic, emerging, digital or conventional communications channel whether existing now or in the future. This includes the use of cookie files by AAMI to collect and use information about the Entrant, to track their user preferences on AAMI/Suncorp Group online sites, and to improve advertising relevance. We may also have an arrangement with third parties who may use our cookies to improve our advertising relevant to you on their sites. By entering the promotion and opting-in, an Entrant acknowledges and agrees that AAMI may use the Entrant’s personal information in the manner set out in this Condition.
