Terms & Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these conditions (Terms and Conditions). Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. The Promoter is McCain Foods (Aust) Pty Ltd (ABN 96 000 629 587) of Ring Road, Wendouree, Victoria, Australia 3355 (Promoter). Email: facebook@mccain.com.au.
3. Entry to the Promotion is open to Australian and New Zealand residents aged 13 years and older (Eligible Entrants). Directors, management and employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and suppliers, companies and agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter.
4. Eligible Entrants aged under 18 years must obtain the consent of their parent or legal guardian to participate in the promotion and to provide personal information about themselves. All Eligible Entrants who are under the age of 18 years and participate in the promotion without disclosing (or attempt to conceal) their age (as and where required) and/or do not provide the required parental consent (as and where required) will be deemed invalid. These Terms and Conditions will bind Eligible Entrants who enter the promotion and any parent or legal guardian who gives their consent for Eligible Entrants aged under 18 years.
5. The Promotion commences at 9am AEDT on 17.02.2014 and closes at 5pm AEDT on 23.02.2014 (Promotion Period). All entries are deemed to be received by the Promoter at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
6. To enter, an Eligible Entrant must, during the Promotion Period, click on the “like” button on the McCain Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/McCainFoodsANZ and “tell us which McCain Chips are your favourite!” Entries must be posted via the comments section on the McCain Facebook page or via the Facebook app. Entries must be original and not copied from any copyright works.
7. Only one (1) entry permitted per household.
8. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
9. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity and country of residence) and to disqualify any Eligible Entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
10. If there is a dispute about the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
11. This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged, by judges appointed by the Promoter, based on originality and creative merit of the entry. The best valid entry across Australia and New Zealand, as determined by the judges, will win a Philips Dry Fryer and a $100 Coles voucher valued at AUD$550 (Prize).
12. The $100 Coles voucher must be used within 12 month of the purchase date.
13. The winning entry will be judged by the Promoter in accordance with clause 11 above on 24.02.2014. The winner will be notified by private message on Facebook and announced via the McCain Facebook page. Winners must provide their full name and delivery address to the Promoter upon request in order to receive the Prize.
14. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition and, in particular, the selection of the winner, is final and binding on each person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
15. The Prize will be despatched to the address in Australia or New Zealand supplied by the winning Eligible Entrant in accordance with clause 12 within 28 days after being notified that they have won a Prize. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for: (a) any damage or loss of the Prize in transit; nor (b) any costs associated with using the Prize.
16. If any Prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize to the equal value and substantially the same as the specification of the Prize.
17. The Prize is valued at approximately AUD$550 being the recommended retail price including GST. The value of the Prize is accurate at the date of the commencement of the Promotion Period. The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
