Langham – 1865 High Tea at 1865 prices

Each year, Langham properties worldwide celebrate the birthday of their flagship property – The Langham, London . In 1865, guests at Afternoon Tea paid the equivalent of 20 cents today.

On 11 June 20 fashion-savvy guests in Melbourne will pay that same tiny amount to each to enjoy the daily, ritual that is upheld at every Langham around the globe.

This unique celebratory Afternoon Tea will include Langham favourites such as ribbon sandwiches, fresh scones served with jam and cream, chocolate strawberries, candied fruit cake, miniature lemon curd tarts, strawberry éclairs, Champagne truffles and a cookie inspired by Coco Chanel.

Melbourne guests will enjoy the unique local luxury of a specially created dessert made by Darren Purchese from South Yarra’s acclaimed Burch & Purchese.

Guests will be invited to don a touch of pink tweed, inspired by the hotel group’s signature Service Stylists, come along and sip French Champagne and expertly brewed tea .
