Terms and Conditions

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions. By submitting an entry, you (the entrant) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The promoter is Ardent Leisure Limited (ABN 22 104 529 106) trading as Dreamworld (‘Dreamworld’) of Dreamworld Parkway, Coomera, QLD, 4209
The promotional period begins Wed 17th August 2014 at 10.00am AEST and closes on Monday 25th August at 11.59pm.
Entry is open to Queensland residents aged 18 years or over. Prior to receiving a prize, each winner will be required to produce an identity document in order to prove their identity and age. In the event that Dreamworld, in its absolute discretion, is not satisfied with the proof of identity and age provided, the winner will forfeit the prize and Dreamworld may offer the prize to a different entrant.
In order to validly enter the competition, an entrant must record a video clip demonstrating why the entrant should be selected to be a Big Brother Rehearsal Housemate in 2014, complete the entry form located on the Dreamworld Facebook page in full, upload the video and agree to the terms and conditions of the promotion. The video should be approximately 30 seconds long, no larger than 5MB file size and must be submitted as a MOV. or MPEG file. Each entrant may only submit a single entry.
In order to be eligible to win a prize, entrants must be able to attend the Big Brother Rehearsal at Dreamworld Studios at 3pm on Monday 1st September 2014 until 4pm Wednesday 3rd September 2014 and be willing to attend the briefing session. Each prize is conditional on the winner executing any additional legal documentation which Dreamworld may require including, but not limited to, a confidentiality agreement, waiver and indemnity.
Dreamworld and Endemol Australia will judge the entries and select one male and one female winner based on the suitability of the entrants and the creativity and originality of their entries at Dreamworld, Dreamworld Parkway Coomera, QLD, 4209 on Tuesday 26th August 2014. This competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
Winners will be contacted by Wednesday 27th August 2014 and must confirm their availability to participate in the Big Brother Rehearsal by 5.00pm Thursday 28th August 2014.
Dreamworld reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for any reason. Without limiting this right, entrants may be disqualified where an entry is not in accordance with these terms and conditions, a form is incomplete, the submitted video features inappropriate content or the video is not in the English language.
The directors, employees and contractors of Dreamworld and WhiteWater World and their immediate relatives (including children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren or siblings) are ineligible to enter the competition.
Dreamworld is the owner of the rights to all content collected in connection with this competition and each entrant assigns all rights in their entry (including present and future copyright) to Dreamworld on and from the time of submission. All entry submissions and content recorded during the Big Brother Rehearsal may be used by Dreamworld, Channel 9 or Endemol Australia at their discretion as required for any purpose, including media, publicity, marketing, social media, promotional or advertising purposes without first seeking any further consent or permission of the entrant. Each entrant acknowledges that he or she is not entitled to any royalties or payments in connection with such uses.
Each entrant warrants and represents that his or her entry, including the video and the content contained therein, does not infringe the intellectual property rights of a third party and indemnifies Dreamworld, its related entities and commercial partners against any and all claims, losses and liabilities which may arise as a result of a breach of this warranty.
There are two major prizes to be won. Each major prize entitles the winner to participate in the Big Brother Rehearsal at the Big Brother House, Dreamworld Studios, hosted by Endemol Australia. Each prize is a money can’t buy experience, is not transferrable and is not redeemable for cash.
Prizes exclude travel costs, per diems and do not include any other additional costs which may be incurred to redeem a prize. If a prize winner is unable to attend at the specified time and date, the prize will be forfeited and another winner may be selected.
Each entrant consents to Dreamworld using his or her personal information and sending the entrant information in accordance with Dreamworld’s Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time. This may include using the entrant’s personal information in order to sell, deliver and market products and services to the entrant and for customer analysis purposes. Dreamworld may also provide the entrant with information on other products and services available to its customers and prospective customers. Personal information is shared within Dreamworld’s group of companies and disclosed to other service providers to the extent required to undertake these activities. Entrants can tell Dreamworld if they do not consent to its use of such information, or if they don’t wish to receive such information, by emailing Dreamworld on Dreamworld’s Privacy Policy is available on its website
By entering the competition, each entrant agrees that their name, age and city of residence may be publicised during or after the competition.
Dreamworld, Endemol Australia and Channel 9 shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury, loss, liability or damage suffered or sustained in relation to this competition except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these terms and conditions purports to exclude, restrict or modify any non-excludable statutory rights, warranties or guarantees afforded to consumers at law including under the Australian Consumer Law.
Dreamworld accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries. Entries must be received by Dreamworld during the promotional period. Online entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission.
Dreamworld reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions of entry, or if the entrant is engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Dreamworld’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Dreamworld, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, Dreamworld may, in its absolute discretion, take any action that may be available, and cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any limitation imposed by law.
In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which changes the result of this competition, prevents or hinders its determination or restricts the availability of any prize including, but not limited to, vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest and strikes, Dreamworld may, in its absolute discretion, cancel the event and/or recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to state legislation.
