We’re giving you the chance to create your own craft beer!

For your chance to brew your own craft beer at Australian Brewery (including 10 cases for you), simply visit the First Choice Liquor Facebook page and tell us in 50 words or less what you would name your beer and why.

Competition runs from Wednesday 21/02/18 and ends on Tuesday 20/03/18 at 11.50pm AEST. Winners will be contacted by Friday 30/03/18. Must be 18 and over to enter.
Brew your own beer competition terms and conditions

General
1. The competition is a game of skill, chance does not form part of selecting the winner.
The material used to market and promote the competition forms part of the competition terms. If there is an inconsistency between the material used to market and promote the competition and the competition terms, the competition terms prevail.

Eligibility to enter
2. During the competition period, anyone may enter the competition, provided that they are:
(a) over 18 years of age;
(b) a resident of Australia; and
(c) not an employee or immediate family member of the promoter or an agent of the promoter who is connected with the competition.
Entering

3. By entering the competition, entrants accept the competition terms.
4. To enter, entrants must like us on facebook and tell us in 50 words or less what you would call your own craft beer and why.
5. Entrants may enter as many times as they wish.
6. The promoter may deem as invalid any entry which:
(a) is illegible, incomprehensible, offensive or incomplete; or
(b) includes objectionable, profane, insulting, inflammatory or defamatory material
(c) violates our social media policy or any law or code.
7. The promoter may disqualify any entrant who:
(a) enters the competition without being eligible;
(b) tampers with the entry process;
(c) submits an entry that is not in accordance with the competition terms; or
(d) in entering the competition, engages in conduct which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the competition or the promoter.
8. Failure by the promoter to exercise its rights under paragraph 7 or paragraph 8 does not constitute a waiver of the promoter’s rights under paragraph 7 or paragraph 8.
9. If the entrant’s contact details change, the entrant must notify the promoter.
Intellectual property

10. Any competition entry and any material submitted in connection with the competition are assigned to the promoter and become the property of the promoter who may use the material in any medium in any reasonable manner associated with the competition. Copyright in any such material remains the sole property of the promoter and no fees, royalties, portion of profits or other payments are payable to any entrant (including the winner).
11. The winner warrants that he or she owns the copyright and any other intellectual property rights in any material submitted in connection with the competition and they have the power and authority to agree to and grant the above assignment, consents and other rights to the promoter.
12. The winner indemnifies the promoter against the action, claim, suit or demand, including a claim, suit or demand for or liability to pay compensation or damages and costs or expenses arising out of or in respect of any breach of any third party’s intellectual property rights.

Selecting winners
13. The promoter will select the winner from the pool of valid entrants at the selection time on the selection date at the selection address.
14. The promoter will select the winner on the basis of the most creative answer to the question “What would you call your own craft beer and why?” and the promoter’s selection is final and binding, subject to the promoter’s rights under paragraph 7 or paragraph 8.
15. The winner’s friend needs to meet the eligibility criteria outlined in paragraph 3.
16. The promoter will notify the winner via facebook announcement post and private message within 2 days after the selection date. The promoter will post the winner’s name and city or town on the website within 2 days after the selection date.

Awarding prizes
17. The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants including the entrant’s identity, age and residence in Australia. If the winner cannot satisfy the requirement, the promoter may forfeit the prize.
18. The winner must accept the prize within 1 month after being selected as the winner. If the winner does not accept the prize within 1 month after being selected as the winner, the promoter may forfeit the prize.
19. In consideration of the promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner:
(a) consents to the promoter using his or her name, likeness, image, voice and entry in any marketing and promotion of the competition, the promoter or the promoter’s business;
(b) agrees to use the prize in accordance with the supplier’s specified requirements; and
(c) agrees that the prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
(d) agrees that the promoter reserves the right to modify the winner’s craft beer design for the packaging for printing and desirability where required.
(e) agrees that by entering the competition, they affirm their craft beer design does not infringe any intellectual property. Any design that does infringe any intellectual property will not be made available for sale.
(f) Must be available for one weekend in April or May 2018 to redeem the prize.
20. If the prize is unavailable, the promoter may substitute the prize with a substitute prize, provided that the substitute prize is of the same or similar value or specification as the prize.

Force majeure
21. If there is a force majeure event which prevents or materially and adversely affects the promoter’s ability to market, promote and run the competition in accordance with the competition terms, the promoter may cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or postpone the competition.

Liability
22. The promoter is not liable for any loss, expense, damage or liability suffered or incurred by entrants and winners in connection with the competition, including:
(a) any late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected entries or prize acceptance, including delays due to technical disruptions or network congestion;
(b) any incorrect or inaccurate information caused by equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the competition;
(c) any technical error, including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission or communications line, telephone, mobile or satellite network failure; and
(d) any theft, destruction, unauthorised access to or alteration of entries; and
(e) any use of the prize or any tax liability incurred by the winner as a result of accepting the prize.
23. Nothing under paragraph 23 is intended to limit entrants’ or winners’ rights under the Australian Consumer Law 2010.
24. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook and Facebook is not liable for any loss, expense, damage or liability suffered or incurred by entrants and winners in connection with the competition, including anything detailed in Section 23.

Personal information
25. The promoter collects personal information about entrants in order to run the competition. The promoter uses and manages entrants personal information in accordance with its privacy policy. By entering the competition, each entrant consents to the promoter using their personal information for future marketing and promotional purposes.

Prize

The winner will receiving the following valued at approximately $6,100:

A weekend away for you and a friend to visit Australian Brewery, located at 350 Annangrove Road Rouse Hill, NSW, 2155, Sydney Australia
A tour of the brewery including a tasting session and dinner for two nights at the brewery approx. $1,500
Meet and greet with the head brewer to brief the beer style of your own craft beer as well as input into the final branding
Return economy domestic flights and transfers (not applicable if the winner lives local to the Australian Brewery) approx. $2,500
Accommodation which consists of a double room or twin share room at Australian Brewery for two nights approx. $1,500
Ten complimentary cartons of the craft beer they have created and designed approx. In accordance with various state restrictions for a promoter providing alcohol as a prize, one carton of beer will be provided to the winner per month for 10 months. $600
The winner’s craft beer will be sold in First Choice Liquor and Liquorland Warehouse stores and via First Choice Liquor online until the total allocation of the product (500 cartons) has sold through.
The winner will be required to sign a Release and Consent document before claiming and receiving the prize.
