Ambi Pur Big Brother 2014 Competition (“Competition”)
1. Variables
1.1 Resident of: Australia only.
1.2 Minimum age: 18.
1.3 Start time: 8.00pm
1.4 Start date: 8th September 2014
1.5 Closing time: 3.00pm
1.6 Closing date: 1st December 2014
1.7 Judging time: 12.00pm
1.8 Judging date: 3rd December 2014
1.9 Winner Publication: The names of the winner/winners will appear on www.9jumpin.com.au/ambipur or http://www.9jumpin.com.au/show/bigbrother/win/ambipur/ between the 5th December 2014 and 5th January 2014
2. Prize/Prizes
2.1 There will be one (1) Major Prize and ten (10) Minor Prizes awarded.
2.2 The Major Prize includes:
(a) Four (4) return economy flights for the winner and 3 guests between the winner’s closest State/Territory capital city airport and Gold Coast on the 14th of January 2015 (valued up to $4800) (Note: If the winner’s nearest state capital city is Brisbane the flight component of the prize will be forfeited and not redeemable for cash);
(b) One (1) night accommodation at Dreamworld in the Big Brother House for four (4) on the 14th January 2015.
(c) Dinner at the Big Brother house with up to three (3) Big Brother housemates (subject to availability) on 14th January 2015.
(d) Supper at the Big Brother house on 14th January 2015.
(e) Silver beverage package for two (2) hours at the Big Brother house on 14th January 2015. Anybody under the age of 18 years cannot receive the “Silver Beverage Package” and this portion of the prize will be forfeited for minors.
(f) Soft drinks, juice or water throughout the night at the Big Brother house on the 14th January 2015.
(g) Big Brother voice over at the Big Brother house on the 14th January 2015.
(h) DJ at the Big Brother house for four (4) hours on the 14th January 2015.
(i) Breakfast for four (4) people at the Big Brother house on the 15th January 2015.
(j) Six (6) nights’ accommodation in two rooms, twin/double share on the Gold Coast (min 4 star), commencing 15th January and concluding 21st January 2015 (valued up to $4200)
(k) Private car transfer between Gold Coast airport and Dreamworld on 14th January 2015 for four people, private car transfer between Dreamworld and the hotel described in condition 2.2(j) on 15th January 2015 for four people, private car transfer between Gold Coast hotel and Gold Coast airport on 21st January 2015 for four people (valued at up to $600)
(l) One (1) helicopter sightseeing flight for four (4) people ($600)
(m) A thirty (30) minute jet ski experience (2 jet skis for 30 minutes) (valued up to $260)
(n) Two (2) day Dreamworld entry for four (4) people (Valued at up to $81.99 per person per day).
(o) $1,000 spending money (winner only) to be paid into an account in the winner’s name by cheque or EFT
2.3 Each of the ten (10) minor prizes consists of one (1) $300 Westfield gift voucher.
The total value of the major prize is up to $ 12,511.92
The total value of the Prize Pool is up to $15,511.92
2.4 The prize does not include:
2.4.1 Transport of the winner and guests between their closest State/Territory capital city Airport and their home.
2.4.2 Any additional expenses incurred when redeeming the prize which include without limitation meals, drinks, any transfers, laundry charges, hotel activities, hotel car parking, mini bar and room service costs, other hotel incidentals, visas, ground transportation, related insurance, gratuities, service charges, pre and post accommodation around the use of the prize, optional activities or excursions, merchandise or any other costs of a related, ancillary, personal or incidental nature and all other ancillary costs
2.5 The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
2.6 All prize items are valued inclusive of GST and the Promoter takes no responsibility for any variations in item values. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. In the event that any prize item is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value. Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
3. Who may enter
The only persons who may enter and be awarded prizes are residents of the place specified in Condition 1.1, who have attained the age specified in Condition 1.2 (if an age is specified in that condition), who are not (i) employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter or any of its agencies involved with this competition, or (ii) members of the immediate family of such employees and contractors.
“Immediate family” means spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), whether or not they live in the same household as the employee/contractor.
“Promoter” means Nine Entertainment Co. Pty Ltd (ABN 57 001 828 164), and Procter & Gamble Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 91 008 396 245)
4. Entrants bound by conditions
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions.
5. How to enter
To enter, entrants must:
(a) Purchase an Ambi Pur product from any retailer stocking Ambi Pur products within the Competition Period, being 12pm on 8 September 2014 and 3pm 1 December 2014, and retain a receipt as proof of that purchase.
(b) Visit www.9jumpin.com.au/ambipur OR www.9jumpin.com.au/show/bigbrother/win/ambipur (“Competition Website”);
(c) Upload to the Competition Website a photo or scanned image of the receipt in which the date, retailer and Ambi Pur product items are clearly legible;
(d) Answer the following question in 25 words or less:
“How would you breathe happy in the Big Brother house and party the night away with the Housemates?”
(e) Fully complete the online entry form including their first name, last name, valid email address and mobile telephone number;
(f) Agree to the Competition conditions; and
(g) Submit their entry by clicking on the ‘Agreed and Enter’ button.
6. Selection of winner
6.1 At the time and date specified in Conditions 1.7 and 1.8, the judges will choose a winner. The winner will be the entrant who has been judged to have entered the most creative, humorous and original response to the question asked in Condition 5(d).
6.2 Each purchase receipt as described in Condition 5(a) may only be used to enter the competition once. In the event that an entrant uses the same receipt to enter the competition multiple times, the first entry submitted will be accepted as their entry and all subsequent entries will be deemed invalid.
6.3 Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. Chance plays no part in determining the winner/s.
6.4 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language.
6.5 Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
7. Special conditions of entry
7.1 All entries must be:
a. the original independent creation of the entrant;
b. owned by the entrant; and
a. free of any claims, including copyright or trademark claims by other parties.
7.2 Entries must not:
a. have been published previously;
b. have won prizes or awards in other competitions;
c. be restricted in any way; or
d. infringe any third party rights.
7.3 It is a condition of the awarding of each prize that the winner must, if requested to do so by the Promoter, sign and return any Affirmation of Eligibility to Enter, Ownership of Entry, and Release and Compliance statements provided to the winner by the Promoter. The failure to return the signed statements will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another winner.
7.4 The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
8. Limitations on entry
8.1 There is no limit to the number of entries per person, subject to the following:
a) each entry must be substantially unique; and
b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.
c) each entry must include a unique receipt proving purchase of any Ambi Pur product within the Competition period. Entrants may not use the same receipt to enter the Competition multiple times.
9. Duration
This competition starts at the Sydney time and date specified in Conditions 1.3 and 1.4. Entries must be received by the Sydney time and date specified in Conditions 1.5 and 1.6.
10. Conditions of travel and prize acceptance
10.1 The winner is free to select any person above the age of 18 as their guest.
10.2 If the winner selects any guest aged less than 18 years, that guest must be over the age of 12 years and have their parent/guardian’s written consent to accompany the winner during the prize redemption.
10.3 In the event that an element of the prize is cancelled or postponed for any reason, the winner forfeits that prize element and no cash alternative offer will be granted in lieu of the part of the prize. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the major prize winner and their companion including but not limited to all meals, spending money, incidentals, mini-bar, laundry, room service, telephone calls and all other ancillary costs. Any part of the prize which is not taken for any reason is forfeited.
10.4 The travel suppliers, including the airline, will be chosen by the Promoter.
10.5 The Prize is a single event holiday and cannot be separated into different holiday vacations.
10.6 The Winner of the Major Prize must travel on the following dates: departing 14th January 2015 for arrival at the Dreamworld Big Brother house on that date, and departure from Gold Coast airport on the 21st January 2015 at the conclusion of Hotel accommodation. The one night stay in the Big Brother House in Dreamworld must take place on the 14th January 2015.
10.7 Travel must be completed by 21st January 2015.
10.8 The winner must confirm acceptance of the prize and travel dates within two (2) weeks of having been notified they are the winner of the major prize. Once booking is confirmed no changes are allowed, unless otherwise authorised by the Promoter in its absolute discretion and if permitted will incur a fee of $150 including GST plus supplier charges which is payable by the winner.
10.9 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for variations in the prize value. The components of the prize may alter for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control.
10.10 The components of the prize must be taken together as a single trip to be booked by the Promoter’s Prize Supplier and cannot be separated into different holiday vacations.
10.11 Any part of the prize that is not taken for any reason is forfeited.
10.12 Travel and accommodation are for the winner and their guests (if guests are part of the prize) travelling together.
10.13 The prize cannot be exchanged for other travel or accommodation at other destinations.
10.14 Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize.
10.15 The prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the respective products and services which constitute the prize.
10.16 The winner may be required to present a credit card at the time of accommodation check-in.
10.17 Once the booking is confirmed, changes to the booking may incur a fee, including GST plus supplier charges.
10.18 The winner and their guests may be required to sign a liability waiver form to receive the prize. Failure to sign the liability waiver form may result in the winner forfeiting the prize.
10.19 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner and their guests comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and prize supplier requirements.
10.20 The winners agree they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.
11. No quality, etc, representations/exclusion of liability
The Promoter:
11.1 The Promoter:
11.1.1 makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes;
11.1.2 accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to prizes in transit;
11.1.3 accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected registrations; and;
11.1.4 is not liable, to the extent permitted by law, for any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying the winner.
11.2 If the prize involves entry to an event and/or transport and accommodation, the winner and his or her guests must sign and return any liability release provided by the Promoter and/or its contractors as a condition of the prize being awarded.
11.3 If the winner or any guests are under 18 years old, the underage persons must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who signs any liability indemnity provided by the Promoter and/or its contractors as a condition of the prize being awarded. Failure to return the signed releases and indemnities will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the selection of another winner.
11.4 Clause 10 does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which are not able to be excluded under applicable Australian consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again.
12. Winner notification and publication
The winner will be notified by telephone and/or email, using the details provided in their entry, and the name and suburb of the winner will be published as specified in Condition 1.9.
13. Use of Headings
13.1 Headings and subheadings are inserted for convenience only and shall not be used to interpret the text of these conditions in any way adverse to an interpretation in favour of the Promoter..
14. Ownership of entries
14.1 All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter. 14.2 The Promoter reserves the right to use the content of winning and runners-up entries for the purpose of future promotions.
15. Internet
15.1 If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
15.2 The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries.
15.3 The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers,
computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
15.4 CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION ON A WEBSITE, OR TO OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION, MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, WHETHER SUCCESSFUL OR NOT, THE PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
16. LIABILITY, INDEMNITY AND RELEASE
16.1 In consideration for the Promoter accepting the Entrant’s entry, the Entrant releases and forever discharges the Promoter from all claims that the Entrant may have or may have had but for this release arising from or in connection with any entrant’s participation in this promotion; the Winner’s acceptance and use of the Prize, and the Winner’s guest’s acceptance and use of the Prize.
16.2 The entrant indemnifies and holds harmless the Promoter to the extent permitted by law in respect of any claim by any person (including but not limited to other entrants in the promotion), arising as a result of or in connection with the entrant’s participation in the promotion.
16.3 In this Condition 17, “all claims” means and includes any action, suit, proceeding, claim, demand, damage, penalty, cost or expense however arising.
17. Privacy
The Promoter will use all personal information collected in connection with the Competition in accordance with the principles and purposes outlined in its Personal Information Collection Statement and Privacy Policy.
18. Promoter

19. Entire conditions
These conditions constitute the entire agreement of the parties relating to the entry and the conduct of the competition.
