Whether it’s a dinner for two or a family feast- we’d love to know what makes mealtime so special for your family.
Simply tell us in 25 words or less why family mealtime is so special to you. Our favourite family responses will receive a $1000 cash prize, as well as a professionally styled family photo shoot and the opportunity to be featured in an upcoming issue of Better Homes and Gardens magazine. Plus, receive a Dolmio prize pack valued at $50!’
How to enter
7. Enter as many times as you wish, by submitting an original entry of 25 words or less ‘why family
meal times are so special to you and your family’ at www.bhg.com.au/betterfamilies.
8. Three (3) finalists will be selected for each of rounds 1 – 3. Nine (9) Finalists will be selected for
round 4. Finalists will be selected based on the 25 words or less written response. As part of the
judging process, finalists will then be contacted by phone and asked additional questions about their
family and may be required to submit a family photo.
9. Entries must include all requested contact details and a 25-words-or-less answer to be eligible to
win. Each entry must be unique and received by the Promoter prior to the competition close date
and time.
When to enter
10. The competition commences on 14/04/14 at 09:00 AEST and closes on 24/07/14 at 08:59
AEST. The three (3) finalists will be chosen for each of rounds 1 – 3. Nine (9) Finalists will be
selected for round 4. Finalists will be selected based on the skill, creativity and originality of their
answer by the judging panel at the Promoter’s premsies on the Judging dates in the table below.
11. All judging dates are as per Table 1 below, starting on 07/05/14 (Round 1) at 11:00 AEST.

13. The Promoter may select additional entries to be used as replacements in the event that the first
entrant chosen as a winner cannot satisfy these Terms & Conditions or take a prize.
14. Prizes will be sent within 8 weeks of judging.

Open, Close, Draw and Publish dates
16. The competition commences 14/04/14 at 09:00 AEST and closes 24/07/14 at 08:59 AEST
(“Promotional period”).
17. The winners will be notified by phone and their names will be published online at www.bhg.com.au
on the dates shown in the table above.

Prize on offer
19. Total prize value is (up to) $6,300, as at 07/03/14. Six (6) winners will each receive:
• 1 x $1,000 cash
• 1 x Dolmio prize pack valued at $50
20. If the Promoter is unable to contact the winner to claim fulfilment of the promotional prize or if the
winner is unable to attend any element of the prize, that winner will forfeit the prize in its entirety
and it shall be awarded to the next runner up in the promotion. The Promoter will not be liable for a
winner who cannot be contacted and therefore forfeits their prize and no correspondence will be
entered into.
21. Winner must be available for a photo shoot which will be published in an upcoming issue of Better
Homes and Gardens magazine, based on the following dates:
