Promotion Details
Promoter Australian Postal Corporation (ABN 28 864 970 579) trading as
“Australia Post”, 111 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000. Phone:

Entry Restrictions Open only to Australian residents aged 18 or over who are (or who
become) MyPost Concession Card holders except directors, officers,
management and employees (and the immediate families of
directors, officers, management and employees) of the Promoter or
of the agencies or companies associated with this competition.
Overall Competition
Period
12:00am (AEDT) on 02/10/17 to 11:59pm (AEDT) on 31/01/18.
Entry Periods During the Overall Competition Period, entries will open at 12:00am
on the first day of a calendar month and close at 11:59pm on the last
day of that calendar month (except for the month of October where
entries will open on 02/10/17).
Eligible Transaction Any transaction made in an Australia Post outlet requiring a
monetary purchase.
Entry Method There are two methods of entry into the competition.
Automatic entry (via Australia Post outlets that have ePos
machines in store):
During an Entry Period, entrants must:
(a) visit a participating Australia Post outlet and make an
Eligible Transaction; and
(b) have outlet staff swipe their MyPost Concession Card at the
point of the Eligible Transaction to receive an automatic
entry into the applicable draw.
Manual entry (for Australia Post outlets that do not have ePos
machines in store):
During an Entry Period, entrants must:
(a) visit a participating Australia Post outlet and make an
Eligible Transaction to receive an entry form (subject to
entry form stocks remaining);
(b) fully complete the entry form including by attaching the
original Eligible Transaction receipt; and
(c) send the completed entry form together with the Eligible
Transaction receipt to: Australia Post, Scan to Win, Reply
Paid 91201, Melbourne, VIC 8060 to be received by the
Promoter by last mail received on:
10/11/17 (to receive an entry into Draw 1);
14/12/17 (to receive an entry into Draw 2);

12/01/18 (to receive an entry into Draw 3); or
14/02/18 (to receive an entry into Draw 4).
Draw Details There will be 4 draws conducted. The draws will take place at
Level 23, 567 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000 on the following
dates and times:
Draw 1 (for all entries received in the October 2017 Entry
Period): 11am (AEDT) on 17/11/17;
Draw 2 (for all entries received in the November 2017 Entry
Period): 11am (AEDT) on 20/12/17;
Draw 3 (for all entries received in the December 2017 Entry
Period): 11am (AEDT) on 19/01/18; and
Draw 4 (for all entries received in the January 2018 Entry
Period): 11am (AEDT) on 21/02/18.
Winner
Determination
The first 10 valid entries randomly drawn in each draw from all valid
entries received in respect of that draw, will each win a prize.
Prize Details There are 40 prizes to be won in total, with 10 prizes to be won per
draw.
Each prize is $500 to be awarded to the relevant prize winner in the
form of an Australia Post money order.
Winners may be required to collect their prize from a nominated
outlet (as determined by the Promoter) or make alternative
arrangements to receive delivery of the prize as agreed between the
relevant winner and the Promoter.
Prize Pool The total prize pool is valued at $20,000 (inc GST).
Entry Limits Entrants may enter as many times as they wish, provided that each
entry is based on a separate Eligible Transaction (and separate
entry form or swipe of their MyPost Concession Card in accordance
with the Entry Method).
Winner Notification The winners will be notified by phone and in writing within 2 days of
the applicable draw and their name and state/territory of residence
will be published on www.auspost.com.au/ScanToWin on the 4th
business day after the relevant draw for a period of 28 days.
Prize Claim Date and
Time
Prizes must be claimed within 3 months of the applicable draw.
Unclaimed Prize
Draw Details
If required, an Unclaimed Prize Draw will be conducted at 11am
(AEST) on 15/05/18 at the same location as the original draw. All
entries received during the Overall Competition Period will be
combined for the purpose of conducting this Unclaimed Prize Draw.

Notification
Any winner(s) in the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be notified by phone
and in writing within two days of the Unclaimed Prize Draw and their
name and state/territory of residence will be published on
www.auspost.com.au/ScanToWin on 22/05/18 for a period of 28
days.

conducting the Scan to Win competition

1 Information regarding prizes and how to enter forms part of these conditions. The
competition will be conducted during the Overall Competition Period. Entries must be
received during the Overall Competition Period. By entering the competition, entrants
accept these conditions of entry.
2 Entries via hard copy entry form: Where entry is via hard copy entry form, entries must
be on the original entry form and must be submitted and received by the Promoter in
accordance with the Entry Method section of these conditions of entry.
3 Electronic Entries: Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are received by
the Promoter’s database. The Promoter has no control over communications networks
and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical
malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter is not liable for any consequences of user error
including (without limitation) costs incurred. Entrants who enter using multiple email
addresses, phone numbers or aliases may be disqualified.
4 Late, lost, incorrect or ineligible entries: The Promoter is not liable for late, lost,
incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed or illegible entries, correspondence
or claims for prizes due to error, omission, tampering, theft, destruction or otherwise.
5 Prizes details: The prizes are as stated in the Prize Details section of these conditions of
entry.
6 Draw details: The draw/s will be conducted at the time/s, on the date/s and at the
location/s as stated in the Draw Details section of these conditions of entry.
7 Winner notification & publication: The winner/s will be notified in accordance with the
Winner Notification section of these conditions of entry. If publication of a winner’s details
is required to comply with the relevant gaming authority regulations, by entering the
competition, each entrant requests that his or her full address not be published.
8 Publicity: Winners must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity
(such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge.
Winners also consent to the Promoter using their names and images in promotional
material.
9 Winner identification: The Promoter (and any contractor, agent or third party associated
with the competition) may require the winner/s to provide proof of identity, proof of age and
proof of residency (at the nominated prize delivery address, if applicable). Identification
considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s (and/or the relevant contractor’s,
agent’s or third party’s) discretion.
10 Validation of entries: If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of
entry, the entry will be discarded and a new winner of that prize will be determined. The
new winner will be determined by drawing a further valid entry in accordance with
paragraph 6 or paragraph 14, as applicable.
11 Disqualification of winner/s: The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all
entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person (including
without limitation any winner or any of their companion/s if applicable) who:

(a) tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the
operation of the competition;
(b) acts in violation of these conditions of entry;
(c) acts in a disruptive manner or with the intent or effect of annoying, abusing,
threatening or harassing any other person;
(d) behaves in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the
Promoter,any of its related bodies corporate or the agencies or companies
associated with this competition; or
(e) behaves in a manner that is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate.
12 The Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of this competition, is final and no
correspondence will be entered into.
13 Prize redemption and transferability: Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
14 Unclaimed prize procedure: The Promoter may deem a winner’s entry invalid in the
following circumstances:
(a) if the prize has not been accepted or claimed in accordance with the Prize Claim
Date and Time; or
(b) if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter cannot contact the drawn
winner (or the drawn winner does not contact the Promoter) by the Prize Claim
Date and Time.
In these circumstances, the Promoter will conduct such further draws in accordance with
the Unclaimed Prize Draw Details as are necessary to distribute the relevant prize. This
draw will be subject to any requirements of the relevant gaming authorities. Any winner(s)
in this draw will be notified as stated in the Unclaimed Prize Draw Winner Notification.
15 Australian Consumer Law: Except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law, the
Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss
(including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits),
expense, damage, personal injury, illness or death which is suffered or sustained (whether
or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or
accepting or using any prize. Where any liability cannot be excluded by law, the liability of
the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies is limited to the minimum
allowable by law. Nothing in these conditions of entry restricts, excludes or modifies or
purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable
law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
16 Limitation of liability: Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and its
associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage, loss or delay in
transit to prize/s.
17 Promoter’s assignment of rights: If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not
capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications
network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any
cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel,
terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to
the approval of the relevant gaming authorities if required.
18 Taxation obligations: The Promoter is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize
winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Where this competition
involves, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non-monetary consideration, entrants
will follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s
length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
